I have serveral websites on an IIS 6/Win2003 box. I've set the security to be anonymous and have given read rights to all of the web folders. Even still I get a login error 401.1 messages. This setup is not extravagant. This situation is recent, for all of the websites were working fine a few days ago. I cannot think of anything I've changed in the subsequent few days

Specifics
web machine a part of a domain and A

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ron

Check that AnonymousUserName and AnonymousUserPass are correct. If this is
a domain member, check that it is synchronized with the local SAM. If this
is a domain controller (or once was a domain controller), check that the
identity is some valid domain user whose account hasn't expired/locked out
recently due to some domain policy.
