Authentication across trusted domains in IIS 6.0

We just migrated to IIS 6.0 from IIS 5, and in our previous
production environment, we had basic authentication across trusted
domains, specifying "\" as the default domain in basic authentication.
The
same setting does not work with IIS 6.0; and users are forced to
specify their domain name in the login box before gaining access to
applications.
I would appreciate any help on information on how to achieve the same
in IIS 6

Hi,

I would turn off friendly http error messages and try the access again. Not the error number you receive in the browser. Report that here whith the
authentication methods you are supporting on the site.
