    - I am having a problem in my asp in the recorsets running at iis 6.0 and sql2000. eof bof Services or applications using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) 2.0 or greater may intermittently return empty recordsets on queries that should be returning valid results. At the time the problem occurs, the same queries successfully return the expected data when run from non-ADO sources, such as from ISQL in Microsoft SQL Server. This problem predominantly occurs on multi-processor computers but has also been known to occur on single-processor computers. As a side effect, the following error may also occur if the application tries to use the empty recordset: ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd' Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted; the operation requested by the application requires a current record. Microsoft give a solution at the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230101/EN-US/ but I did it all (I have mdac 2.8 installed and the problem still ocurrs). I have to tell you that this problem doesnt occurs all the time. When my asp aplication crashes all the recordsets return the messages : ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd' Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted; the operation requested by the application requires a current record. and Description : [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The cursor was not declared. and Description : ODBC driver does not support the requested properties this occurs for some minutes and then start woking again. I have to tell you that the database is complitly functional when this occurs, and if I do the same sql querys using query analizer, the sql server return valid results. The way I can get it work again manualy is by pressing the button "unload" at the IIS in the "home directory" tab. this makes the asp work again.     - w3wp.exe using 100% of CPU Hello, I have found several posting refering to the same issue, but I still can not find the answer to my problem. I installed the IISState tool, created a dump file, but don't know what to do with it. I also have a log file. Can someone help. I really appreciate it. Static compression is being disabled. I've checked permissions on the folder, and all seems correct. Could the folder itself be corrupt? Can't find any reference to help for this Warning anywhere. Does anyone have any info for me? I get this Warning about every 20 to 40 minutes, doesn't seem to be causing a negative affect, but if static compression is desirable and I'm not getting it, then I'm concerned about the long-term affects of this "condition". I'm the "elected" administration of our system, with no real technical knowledge, and would like to resolve this if possible without bringing in a consultant. The machine has multiple hosts on it and this occurs with ALL asp pages. Running IISrecycle resolves the issue. Any ideas?     - Cannot run FrontPage 2003 web on IIS6/Windows 2003 Server Hello - I have a web page designed in FP2k3 with a forum and some forms, running on an IIS6/Windows 2003 Server with SharePoint Services SP1. Those forms want a page with FrontPage 2002 Extensions - I tried up and down to setup a page but no soap. I applied the FrontPage 2002 updates and security fixes. I only get SharePoint Central Administration where Add Frontpage 2002 Extensions would be. Going into SharePoint Central Adminstration, and selecting Extend or Update Virtual Server, the default and the FP2003 web site are 5.0.2.5012. Trying to run STSADM on the site bombs with "You must migrate the content from this virtual server to a new virtual server extended with Windows SharePoint Services." Any light? When I call the method CrypgAcquireContext(&hProv, NULL, NULL, PROV_RSA_FULL, 0), the function returns TRUE but the handle hProv does not get assigned. This problem only occurs when the code is called from an ASP page under IIS 5.1 (Windows XP) and from a remote computer. The code runs fine under any other conditions (ASP.NET or from localhost) and it has been running just fine for years under w2k (IIS 5.0). Verified in the cmd window. Ran NetStat and determined that port 80 is listening. Went to another computer and I can ping my computer. Ran Telnet from far computer and it saw my computer. DNS resolves my address correctly. REmoved and reinstalled IIS. Applied ASP.net problem with adding IIS after .NET (aspnet_regiis â??I) also registered dll I have turned off my XP firewall. And verified from services that it was shut down. I have turned off my McAfee firewall and verified it was shut down. I have tried using 127.0.0.1, the NIC card address, the computerâ??s name, Itâ??s FQDN and localhost and nothing will display in IE. I have also tried restarting XP Internet Firewall Services, enabling and Checkmarking all entries under services tab except FTP. I have a W2K server running IIS 5.0 and have compared settings and find no difference except... The asterisk in front of the servername on my home computer is missing. Any help would be appreciated.     - Network share using wrong network In IIS I created a virtual directory "folder" using an UNC path: \\10.0.0.5\folder The server has two network cards, one with address 192.168.0.5, and the other is 10.0.0.5. The IIS is running on 192.168.0.5, while the 10.0.0.5 is for the network share. At least that's why I have two interfaces. Anyways, when I access the site using this: http://192.168.0.5/folder/file.jpg On the network share I see the web server connecting by 192.168.0.5 and not the 10.0.0.5 IP. This is defeating the purpose as it's still going through the same network. How do I fix this problem and make the web server use the 10.0.0.x network to access the share? Everything looks fine when I upload the pages to a web host, and when I view them directly on my hard drive with IE6. The problem starts when I view them locally through IIS (http://localhost/...). We just upgraded to 2003 server from 2000, and for some reason IIS isn't
showing us the "Application Pools" tree. Likewise, "Application Pool" is not
an option on the Web site / Home Directory tab. Did IIS or Inetmgr somehow
not get upgraded? I checked the version of inetinfo.exe, and it seems to be
the right one (6.0.3790).
