IIS Admin Service wont start

I have recently reinstalled IIS on an XP machine because
for one reason or another, it wasnt running. I tried to
start it manually and the service will not start at all.
Msg: Could not start IIS Admin service on Local
Computer. Error: 5 - Access is denied. I am logged in as
administrator and it used to work.

Please help and email if you can for I may not be able to
check the NGroup again.

The IIS Admins service terminated with the following
error: Access Denied.

Make sure system has full control on the root of the drive where windows is installed. And, make sure the IISADMIN service is not being
run under a specific user account, but the Local System Account, and interact with desktop is not checked. If needed, download
filemon from www.sysinternals.com, run it, then try and start the service, and then stop it. Look for access denied, and what is trying
to access what.
