Hi,

I want to download Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 Refresh, but on the site of
Microsoft they say it is only for MSDN subscribers? what is a MSDN
subscriber and how do I get it?

When I try to "Add Passport" on there site, they ask me my "Subscription or
Membership ID'... how do I get these? I do have a legal version of VS.NET
2003 and MSDN, so I pressume I should have what they need there?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Pieter

You have the MSDN Library (which is also accessible on the web) which comes
as part of VS.NET.

You need an MSDN subscription which cost $$$

There are different MSDN subscription levels. 2005 Beta 1 Refresh probably
requires Universal subscription level (but I am not sure on that)

That's for the Beta 1 Refresh with Team System.

If you want just the compiler updates, they are available at this open

If they do, they are violating a license agreement, and depending on the VS
2005 version, maybe an NDA as well.

Not a very nice thing for you to ask someone to do...

LOL, you really "need" it or you really "want" it? I wouldn't recommend
programming anything major on an a beta development suite and application
framework.

I'm sure there are several sources available on the net that have this
for download. I didn't think you could shrink-wrap beta software if it can
be purchased on a CD and given to friends anyway. But then again this is
M$!
