I've just noticed that there appear to be two instances of this
program installed. Can't fit the lines in without wrapping, but hope
it's clear what I mean:

Program Name Uninstall Command Registry
Entry Name

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 msiexec.exe /X {CB2-etc-2A1} Microsoft
.NET Framework 1.1 (1033)

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 MsiExec.exe /X{CB2-etc-2A1}
{CB2-etc-4F52EAE172A1}

Apart from the Registry Entry Name being different, the only other
minor distinction is that the Uninstall Command has no space after the
'X' in the second instance.

Are both of these necessary, or can I delete one please? If so, which
one?!

It's probable that one of these is for a service pack. Look at Add/Remove
Programs under the Control Panel.

Thanks. Those entries were pasted directly from a program called Add
Remove Plus! 2002:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 msiexec.exe /X {CB2-etc-2A1} Microsoft
.NET Framework 1.1 (1033)

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 MsiExec.exe /X{CB2-etc-2A1}
{CB2-etc-4F52EAE172A1}

There was also a third entry for a hotfix:

If I use the XP built in Control Panel|Add Remove Programs, I see only
*one* instance (plus the hotfix), but with minimal detail of course:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903)
