    - PopUp windows with a fixed size. Hi, Can somebody tell me how I can, from a small image (or a miniature) create a link to the full size image in a window that has exactly the size of the large image, and that cannot be scrolled, on resized ?     - bookmark links in frontpage 2002 Let's say I have a website called www.mywebsite.com. In it, I have two folders called "info" and "data". Inside "info" is a page called infopage.htm. Insted "data" is a page called datapage.htm. I set a bookmark called "specialinfo" on infopage.htm. I know how to make a link on that SAME page jump to the "specialinfo" part of that page. But what if I want to make a link on datapage.htm jump right to the "specialinfo" section of infopage.htm? I can do it if I hardcode www.mywebsite.com/info/infopage.htm#specialinfo but I don't want to hardcode it because pages move. I want it to be done relatively with the ".." format.     - Data Access Page don't work - 60minute interanet kit Hi all, I've installed 60minuteIntranet Kit in a Win2000-IIS5 system. IIs seem go right but when I've created the Intranet website, all pages dap*.htm don't work. You know I'm testing this web in localhost, but if i try to log a dap page, IIS address my request to the Internet, as I'm connecting to an inexistent remote host. I don't know why.     - Default font How do I set the default font to Verdana for the whole page? I created loads of pages which appeared as verdana on Internet Explorer on my machine. When I used another machine to view on internet explorer, it appeared as times new roman. When I highlighted the text and chose verdana, it adds masses of code on all the cells of the page.     - Low res pictures - when do they load? I have some animated graphics that will be relatively slow to download. I understand under picture properties, you can specify a low res graphic which loads first. When does it then load the normal graphic, will it load the whole page including the low res graphic, then go back and do the larger graphic? or will it end up doing more work (low res graphc, then normal graphic) before moving on to other things on the page? - if this is the case it will not be a good experience for my users! thanks Chris Tag: transfer files Tag: 45234

    - Hover buttons not working after XP Service Pack 2 I have used Hover Buttons in Frontpage on hundreds of pages on my site that I was about to launch. Now XP service pack 2 not only stops them changing to the alternate image when the mouse moves over them, they do not even display properly on Internet Explorer. I think it's because hover buttons use activeX in Frontpage. It is no use leaving a message for visitors to the site to enable activeX, since most will not understand and the user gets a security warning that will stop them wanting to do this. I used Hover Buttons as colour customised navigation buttons, which looked impressive (glow effects, alternate images). If I have to go backwards and simplify the site to basic buttons I can, but it will cost me 2-3 weeks reworking numerous pages. If I have to spend the time, I want to get the best results for my efforts. As alternatives to hover buttons, I considered using Interactive Buttons from Frontpage 2003, but again they don't change with mouseover due to XP SP2, although at least the button shows. I also tried to get alternate images by using the Dynamic HTML feature to swap image on mouseover. Again, with XP SP2 this doesn't work. I am using the buttons for navigation. Some purists hight say drop the buttons and have simple hyperlink text, but the buttons did look impressive and that is important on my site. How can I get changing images with mouseover with minimum time and effort? I am not advanced, and feel I need to stick with Frontpage 2003.     - Updating Date field wtih DBRW I have a field with a timestamp of original submission from a form. The DBRW results in error when trying to make edits to fields. I recall this has something to do with the field with the date. I have already changed the field name to something other than TimeStamp.     - Frontpage 2003 adding code I am new at FP 2003, but in FP 2000 when you added code (HTML) for things such as weather link or vendor link. You would go to insert /advanced/ html. Then a box would open where you pasted the code and it would work fine. I can not figure out how to do this in FP 2003. All I am getting on the page is the actual code.     - I'm having difficulty with outlined bullets I'm having a hard time getting my bulleted lists to come out in outline form. I did it once (by accident), can't remember what I did and the format isn't uniform...one major bullet will have a single space between it and the next outlined (further indented) bullet and the next major bullet has a double space between it and the outlined bullet below it.     - FrontPage XP web project; losing bots/theme in publishing to web Help!! I have created a web locally using FrontPage XP (Office XP SP3). The site works locally except for forms that require FrontPage Extensions on a web server. When I upload the site to the web server (running FP Extensions 2002) the navigation borders and nav controls are missing....the theme also was lost. This site is a 'test' site which will replace an existing site at the root of the website. The root site was created using the same steps as below but it worked AOK throughout. The only difference was I was at SP1 for Office XP...I installed SP3 to see if the problem would clear... Steps taken to create test site... 1-Created new web project on local disk and test content, theme, and navigation. (Not created as a sub-web of the original root web site but in a new web project folder.) 2-created a sub web below the root site using FP admin on server 3-published local site to server by right clicking highest order folder object in FrontPage client folder list and selecting the sub-web created by FP admin 4-tested site for content, nav and theme....no borders, nav, theme. The web components on the form work fine...creates the file in _private. 5-Since I needed to demo the site for others to review, I re-created the nav , borders & theme live on the sub-web and tested again ...AOK. I then published the test site back to a new empty web project folder locally and experienced the same result...no borders, nav or theme. 6-Installed Office XP SP3...re-did steps...same results Thanks!     - Show/Hide Text Script Hello! Ok guys I'm trying to follow the script template provided by dynamic drive here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/switchmenu.htm However, instead of showing/hiding hyperlinks upon clicking the button, I would like an address formatted block of text to appear instead. I have a basic understanding of how to do this, but the problem I'm having is how to tell the script to kick text to the next line. For example, Upon clicking the button for say SomeDistrict, I would like text to appear in this format: Name address city, state phone etc Instead, everything is thrown on one line, such as Name address etc all mixed together. How can I tell the script to start a new line for the block of text, and also how can I center the buttons on my page, instead of having them left alligned?     - Database Connection-Simple Problem OK, I've got a lot of DB interfaces running. On this particular web, I am perplexed as I continue to be able to go through the DB wizard to produce DB results page in FP 2003, but then when displayed within the browser, I get the following error: Database Results Wizard Error [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. I tried to include the content from one html page into another with the Include command. When I preview the page in FrontPage I can see the included content.     - Help with CDO sending emails I've posted this in several forums, either I'm told I'm in the wrong forum or I get no answers, please if you think I am in the wrong forum just don't respond - thanks. ok, I wrote a script that queries a database, compares some data, and sends emails to aliases (some are individuals, some are distribution lists) that resulted from one of the queries. When I tested it and had it only send to me it worked fine, when I had it send to the query result emails (To 1 person, CC to 3 people and bcc to me), we all got it 5 times! I can't figure it out. When I debugged it only execute "oMsg.Send" once. The only thing i could figure out is that it was sent out to 5 people so maybe somehow CDO repeated it for each person, but I don't know how to figure that out.. Let me quickly explain what my queries do: The first query searches for pending orgs, the second query searches for existing users for the first pending org, the third query gets the pending user(s) for that pending org. Then the code checks to see if the sum of the pending and existing is more than 5, if more than 5 the pending org is disapproved and they receive 1 email, if the result is not more than 5 they are approved and they get another email. Then the code loops back if there is another org and does the same thing. When I ran the script â??liveâ?? the first time, there was only 1 pending org, 1 pending user, and 3 existing user so they received the â??approvedâ?? email â?? 5 times! (as I did) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Hi, I have a table (in txt or imported in excel or ms access) with visitors of a web site and there I get the search strings if they come to this website directly from a query thorugh google, altavista, msn etc. I want to have their search words clearly written in the column. Now there is difficult to see what it is because there is signs before and after the words and also UTF translations from language-specific signs. Is there a easy way to convert this? When posting, if one enters more than one space, a tab, a CR or LF the program truncates/sets those formatting items back to a single space. Is there an option somewhere that I've missed?     - Display issues with hover buttons I'm having issues where hover buttons are not displaying correctly (partial or not at all) after the page loads in the browser. If I scroll the image off the screen and back on again, the image now is correct. The behavior is the same for canned buttons in FP 2002 or gif's I've created myself.     - Passing a parameter Here's a bit of HTML that attempts to call an executable and pass a parameter: <form method="POST" action="http://11.22.33.444/MyFolder/MyEXE.exe/Begin"> The executable is MyEXE.exe and the parameter is "Begin". Unfortunately my browser (IE 6) doesn't recognize this statement. It will find the EXE if the parameter is left off... but then the EXE doesn't work properly. Is there a better way to pass this parameter to the executable? (I don't think I can call a server-side script to call the EXE because the EXE returns an HTML response to whatever calls it.)     - Populate text box from list I would like vistors to my site to be able send an email via a form by selecting from a list of names and addresses, I am not sure how to acheive this as I need to insert the persons name, address and email address into the body of an email by clicking one check box or list/menu.     - FrontPage 2003 crashes when applying DWT's I have posted this on microsoft.public.frontpage.client as well but it's duplicated here in case someone else has an answer. I have a CSS driven site that I am trying to use Dynamic Web Templates with. However; when I try to attach a template to a page it crashes FrontPage. FrontPage also crashes when I try to update any pages that already have DWT's attached. The site is hosted by an ISP that has FP 2002 server extensions installed but FrontPage also crashes on the local machine. I can log onto the same site with Dream Weaver and do anything I like with the DWT's without problems. I have tried using DWT's with tables in the pages and the problem isn't nearly as apparent but on any pages that rely on CSS positioning, the crashes are instant. Has anyon run across this before or know of a solution. I am using FrontPage 2003 on a Windows Server 2003 machine. The same problem occurs with FP 2003 on the clients' Windows XP machine, both locally and on the server. All pages have an ASP extension which I need for some of the other programming I am using. I have also tried a basic ASP page with nothing on it and the problem still occurs. As I suggested to the client to use Frontpage against their IT person's recommendations, I'm the one that is now left to sort the problem out. They are looking at purchasing 6 other licences once the problem is solved but they are also now looking at spending the extra and purchasing copies of Dream Weaver instead. now have a new laptop with frontpage that I want to use
instead. Can you please tell me how I can transfer all my
current files from one computer to the next and keep them
together? I can copy pages to a cd and open them on the
new computer but they are not together in a website file.

Create a folder on your desktop.
Publish your web to the folder.
Burn the folder to a cd.
Copy the folder to the new machine.
Publish the web to a location on your new machine.
You will probably have to go through the web and remove the read only attributes from * all of* the
files afterwards, as burning to a CD automatically sets all files to read only.
