    - Missing records in database I am testing logging data to a database using my Personal Web Server; however, the data is not saved to the database!!! I published the site, input the data on the form, click submitt. I receive a confirmation indicating the responses that I have typed. After closing, I look at the database in Front Page and the records are not there. I look at the database in c:\inetpub\wwwroot, the records are not saved there. What is happening??????     - Newbee Needs Some Advice/Help About a year ago I created a rather simple web site which is being hosted by my Internet Service Provider. The site is just a series of individual content pages, each page having a navigation menu bar across the top. This menu bar allows you to jump to any of the individual pages (page1, page2, etc). I wanted to make a few changes to the site so I decided to FTP all the files down to a folder on my computer. When I opened FrontPage 2002 to make changes to this folder, I discovered that the top menu bar for each web page was missing but everything else was correct. In place of the menu bar was this text line: "Add this page to the Navigation view to display hyperlinks here" I've not done any HTML coding in quite some time but I remember when I first created this web site, the display of the pages in FrontPage was identical to what I saw on the actual web site.     - Finally it works, but there's an error I have finally got my asp page to run, but it won't display the query results from the database. It gives me the following error: Database Results Error The database connection named 'GOTS' is undefined. This problem can occur if: * the connection has been removed from the web * the file 'global.asa' is missing or contains errors * the root folder does not have Scripting permissions enabled * the web is not marked as an Application Root according to the MS website, the solution is to veryify the database, which i've done. but this didn't fix it. i'm waiting to verify if the root folder is scripting enabled. does anyone know a solution for this problem? thanks.     - New Web Location Problem I'm attempting to create a new web site, and when i get the 'web site template' window, i try to create a new personal web. in the 'options' section, it asks me to specify the location of the new web. there is a server on our corporate network running IIS (the latest version). When i enter the 'http://.....' address of the server, it says the server doesn't have MS FP Server Extensions installed and won't go any further (even though I have unchecked the box about MS FP SE on Page Settings). Anyone know why it won't associate the http location with the web? Is there a way to bypass that?     - Previews I finish a web with text packaged inside borders measuring approximately 3 square inches. I Select File > Preview In Browser. I select Netscape Navigator - 800x600 Results - None of the borders I built around text appears and the text expands right across the page. I go back to preview and select Internet Explorer - 800x600 Results - Text and borders are where they should be, but an image I moved under the "Position Absolutely" tool is in a completely different location.     - Forms Help Please I have created a customized confirmation form for ordering at my secured site. 1. The problem is that when the submit button is pressed, a new page opens.     - Server Application Error I am running IIS on my local XP box.     - Secured Web - email form I've imported a web site into FrontPage and everything is working except for one thing. There is an order form on this site that when the customer submits the order form along with their credit card information, somehow the email that shows up to the merchant inbox has the credit card info xxx'd out. The merchant then accesses another url (secured site) where she types in the order number on the original email and presses "Go" and the completed order form shows up WITH the credit card information. She then goes through the regular merchant account process via another system with her bank. I'm trying to find out what this process is and if anyone knows how to set it up.     - FrontPage messing up code I have a customer that has a page with a form that uses FrontPage's save form to database function. He wanted me to add code so that if a certain field contained a certain value then an email would be sent. The problem I'm having is with FrontPage messing up the code. I have my code contained within separate scrpting blocks placed before the FrontPage generated scripting blocks. The problem is that FrontPage keep putting the FrontPage generated block before my code and that will not let my code run since the FrontPage code contains a redirect. I tried uploading the file via FTP but after a while the code gets rearranged back with the FrontPage code first and mine second. This happens even if you do not open that file in FrontPage. I assume it is the FP server extensions that is moving the code. Anyone have any ides?     - FrontPage 2002 CHANGING THE CODE! When I copy code of a form and paste it into FrontPage. It will rewrite and add in a </form> on the very next line after the opening form tag.     - Forms page help.. Having the weirdest problem on a new web site we have set up with frontpage - can't figure out why it is doing it. The page appears to fo fine We have a new web site set up. The forms to email was not working and I had another coder look into it. His reply was to change the following from: method="POST" action="bodyshop.asp" to action = sendemail.asp.     - Using Sharepoint Team Services At work I use Sharepoint to display shreadsheets of data. At home I use Frontpage 2002 SharPoint Team Services and I cannot get the Excell table frame. Why is that? The Excell component at work allows me to display a table in an Excell spreadsheet style, but at home I tell it to import a spreadsheet and it shows an ugly table that does not even allow me to show lines. Also, at work, I can add pictures, database files, Excell spreadsheets, and other types of documents to the document library, but at home I can only add Word documents... why is that? I am listing those items on one asp page. Cut down on the size of your images.
