Hi:

I found out a strange thing happened recently for web site created by FP
2003, and I don't recall that happened before.

I can't rename the default home page from Default.htm to Index.htm.

Every time I tried to set the page to the default home page, FP 2003 will
automatically change the name to default.htm.

If I retain the name, it then will give an directory content not listed
error message.

I am not sure if this is the case before. The reason for me to use index
rather than the default is our public web site hosted by ISP with IIS 6.0
use index.asp as the home page, and I wish to retain the same naming for
this site is to be interacted with that production site.

The local site use IIS 5.0 and FP server extension 2002.

Thanks so much

In IIS MMC open the property sheet for the web server and on the Documents
Tab, add Index.htm, Index.asp to the list of acceptable default documents.
FrontPage will only allow the home page to have a name that is in that list,
and will default to the name at the top.

Hi:

Thanks so much.

It is done. I have added it to the top level on the default website, so I
guess that will apply to all sub webs created in the future.

Once again, thanks so much.
