Folks,

I notice that FP is not changing the references from "local" to "internet" -
so if I view the page I am publishing in IE and View Source, the pictures etc
links are to file:///c:DocumentsandSettings.....etc. which obviously doesn't
exist on my webserver.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how I can get FP to publish properly so that I
don't have to go thru and manually alter all of the code!

Thanks!
Russ.

When working locally on your web make sure you always File | Open Web/Site
first before editing pages.

Rob,

Thank you for taking the time to reply - unfortunately this didn't seem to
resolve. I opened the site in the manner you suggested, and then published
from there, but still I have the reference to embedded pictures etc as
file:///c:/Docume..... when I view the source code.

Is there a manual switch where I can "force" FP to translate all these
references?

Thanks in advance.
Russ.

Once you have edited you pages outside of a FP web you need to reedit them w/ your FP web open to correct the broken links

Always Import images into FP first (usually into your Images folder) before
placing them into your layout. You can try deleting them from within the
web, re-Import them, then replace t hem into the layout.

No there's no manual switch.

This won't happen if you always open your web, then work within it....and
always Import images first.
