How do I redirect to another page after a form has been submitted using the Send to email address form property?? I tried setting the second page to a confirmation page url but that doesn't work. It submits the form on the second page instead of displaying it. I've tried the hidden field redirect, but that's not working either. I'm the onsubmit= but it's not saving the value after it's published. It defaults a FP confirmation page. Can this be done??     - database and email forms results with DRW Dear Mr Buyens: I am repeating my enquiry here in case my question/submission as part of the "Aug/12 Dave" ADM thread fails to raise an issue. Dear Mr. Buyens Have tried the code suggested herein (as indicated in another part of this thread), but I cant get the filed values to pass in the email, since I donâ??t know how to "intercept" the "on submit" action of the DRW webbot. I have purchased a copy of your FP03 Inside/Out book in the hopes that it would reveal how to do this ... but no joy. I include a copy of my situation from the other thread here: ------ copy ---------- I am trying to do something similar (results to both mdb and email). The interlacken code had to be modified since my ISP doesn't support CDO's, and so re-wrote it for ASPMail, and I've had to remove the "IF" construct (possible for relating to my speculation below) However, the email sends "blank field values". In my case the form/db etc are created using FP03's DRW etc. I am not sure if the webbot/onsubmit script etc is somehow intercepting the field values (including the submit button) and preventing that data to be available (e.g. not only is does the email not include the data, but also the IF construct fails since there appears to be no value in the button variable). I have tried various permutation of the email code on the form page, as well as on the confirmation page. In all cases, the best result is that an email is issued (whether or not the submit button is pressed), and the field values are null.     - IIS6 Nortbots error I'm trying to move a web site from a Win2K server to a Win2K3 server. I use FP2K to publish to both servers. Search forms that work on the the 2K server don't work on the 2K3 one and give me a 404 error with "server/web/_derived/nortbots.htm" not found.     - force a cell to contain a fixed number of rows I've got the original FPX (I think) that comes with Win98 (ver. 2.0.2.1118). Is there any way to force a cell to contain a fixed number of rows? There is a setting for cell properties that allows you to change this (number of rows spanned) but when I set the number of rows to more than 1 it moves the cell below over into another column (???).     - Frontpage E-Mail Message Header subject line When using Front Page to compile an on-line form for e-mail submission, is it possible to define the email subject header with predefined text and text from one of the from fields. For example, i'm aware you can choose the predifed text by placing this with-in FORM PROPERTIES then OPTIONS and EMAIL RESULTS then placing hte predefined text with-in the e-mail message header subject line, or ticking the Form Field Name and then placing the Field name in the box instead, but is it possible to use a combination of both.     - Images not displaying in DBRW I'm using the db results wizard in fp2000. I have a text field in the table with the path to the image in the text field. The results display the path (the contents of the text field) and not the image. Oh, the folder in the web for the db and the images are on the same level.     - Include Statement I have been using the include function for awhile now, and it is great... BUT yesterday we moved to a new server which is an Apachie (SP) now none nothing works... I have tried  and it does not pick it up. The only way I have been able to make it works is to move the include file to the main directory.     - Incorporating theme and ASP Hello, Using FrontPage 2000, I started building a web site with a theme (I went through the wizard originally). Using the wizard gave me a specific set of pages. Navigation screen shows the hierarchy of these pages. Now, I would like to replace Default.htm (which was created by the wizard) with Default.asp so that I can use ASP code. I'm finding that FrontPage is not letting me replace Default.htm with Default.asp and still retain the same hierarchy. [i.e. On Navigation page, I drag the pages connected to Default.htm and try to place them under Default.asp, but it's not happening.] What can I do? Thanks a lot.     - Database Question I have a page on my web site for members to sign their info up so that we can keep in touch for any upcoming reunions. I've tried to have it saved in a Access file but my server does'nt allow "Global.asa" or member.asp files ,,is there anyway that i can get the information into a form other than text or html?     - Help! I just normalized my database I'm one of those inexperienced database people who ended up with a d/b with 120 fields. I'm getting a lot of the "Too many fields defined" errors on update. I have researched and now know how to normalize my database. I have many tables now. My database is for customers to track there loan status. It has fields like.. name, address, date of app, lender, appraisal ord, appraisal rec, closing date set etc...... I can't figure out how to set up relationships in Access 2002. Each borrower wil will have a record in all tables. When I use the wizard to set up tables it asks will there be a record in the Borrower Table that matches many records in the Address Table or vice versa. It doesn't ask will there be 1 record in each table that matches 1 records in all the tables. Can someone please help me. I'm very frustrated!     - web component problem I used a Frontpage 2002 web component to include an excel spreadsheet in a web page on my site. When i previewed it in my browser (IE 5.5SP2) it worked OK. After I published to my web hosting server it takes 20-30 seconds to load this page, which is about right. But then it just shows a little square with a dot in the middle where the spreadsheet component is supposed to be. The web hosting company supposedly support front page extensions.     - Linking to JPGs on disk I need to link to some staff images stored on a hard disk using a database storing the path to the jpg file. Using vbscript I thought this would work: response.write "<p><img border='0' src='file:///strSource></p>" strSource being the path stored in the DB. Unfortunately when I preview this I get the dreaded red x and the path in the image property sheet shows as file:///strSource not file:///c:\folder\image.jpg or whatever the path is.     - Having update problems with multiple Addresses for one Web-site We have 5 web site addresses that all go to the same web-site. The problem is when I change a page and go into publish it, everything goes well, then I go and check all of the addresses and a couple of them are not updating like the other 3?     - Force error message when database is missing Hello all, I have a FrontPage ASP file writing form data to an Access database on a different server. Everything works fine. But, if the backend database is missing for some reason (e.g. server down), and someone submits the form, they get a confirmation page and everything looks like it worked fine even though the data was lost. How can I force FP to return an error message if the database is missing, either when the user submits the form or, if possible, when the user initially loads the form?     - Suddenly: Database Errors Abound Over the last 2 years I've developed quite a few ASP pages using the FP 2002 DRW to access and update 5 different database files, mostly .mdb files, with some .xls files. About 1 month ago, about 3/4 of these database queries started returning errors instead of data. I immediately surmised it was a hosting issue, and slogged through a lot of time with my host's tech support, reinstalling FP extensions, resetting permissions, removing, reinstalling, and updating FP 2002, all to no avail. After a couple weeks of telling me my code was faulty (funny, it had worked for the last two years just fine, and has not been modified), my host finally said their ODBC and MDAC components were corrupt, and that they reinstalled them with an updated version, but that now any query with a reference to a table that had a space in its name would fail. I dutifully changed the few table names and handful of queries I had against such tables, and things still failed in the same manner. Ultimately unsatisfied with the responses I was getting from the host, I finally changed hosts 2 days ago. The DNS got pointed to the new host's server yesterday, & I used FP to upload the site, only to find I'm still getting the same errors as on the previous host. The error messages I'm getting are all over the map, from "HTTP 500 - Internal server error " to "Database Results Error The operation failed. If this continues, please contact your server administrator." to " ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cc1' Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal." (This last message can be generated after correctly returning several columns of the first row of results.) The really weird thing about these failures is that other DRW queries against the same table are working perfectly!!! I've spent many hours poring over the code that FP generated, both code that works and code that fails, and it all looks fine to me. I've used the "compact and repair" function in Access 2002 on the database file, to no avail. The one semi-strange thing I noticed is the following entry in the global.asa file: <mso:connectionstatus msdt:dt="string">OSSCData_1=1 LibraryData=1 Events=0 Vendors=0 UploadedFiles=1</mso:connectionstatus> I would think that all values would be the same, since no connection was open to any of them that I was aware of.     - web page with filename entry I am using FP 2003. I don't know much about scripting languages, so prefer to do this in html, but maybe its not possible. We have files stored on our server. The users know the file names. They are all pdf files. The file names are all 8 characters. I need to build a web page with a text entry box, where the user will then type in the 8 character filename, then press the ENTER key. The form would have the web site and subfolders hard coded, as well as the pdf file extension. The only thing that changes is the 8 character filename. Something like: http://www.website.com/folder/folder/ENTEREDDATA.pdf where the capitalized data is entered by the user in a box, but the user doesn't know the rest of the info.
