    - HTML and PHP link Hi I have a html form page created in FrontPage 2003 where a user adds there info on and then it is send via a php page but all it does is only pulling through the titles not the users info, for example The html form has the following on it; Title*: Mr Mrs Ms Miss (with radio buttons to select) First Name*: (with a text box for name) Surname*: (with text box for surname) Then this is part of the php that is working but it only e-mails the Titles not the text box info. <? $to = "casper@firetech.co.nz"; $subject = "Message from the FPIS Contact Page"; $msg = "Title:" . $contact_gendertitle .     - Frontpage 2003 Bug, IE6 Bug or Windows Font Bug? I have tried everything I can think of to figure this out. When I use Arial 1 (8 pt) for a vertical menu, and if the first character is a capital "W", when viewed in IE6, the first two stacked pixels forming the top left corner of the "W" are cutoff (cuts off pixels horizonally by one pixel). I have confirmed this by looking at the overlay files. Unfortunately, just editing the overlay files does not cure the problem. Can someone see if they can reproduce the problem. I am wondering if it is just my computer, or a bug in FP, IE, or Windows. Here are the steps (takes about two minutes, maybe less if you are a proficient FP user). 1) Start FP 2003, and create a new site using the Corporate Presence Wizard. Just keep clicking Next to get through the steps, and finally Finish. 2) After the site is created, go to Format, Theme, and select the Website Default Theme which is Journal. 3) Click the down arrow, and select Customize, click the Graphics button, then for item select "Vertical Navigation". Click the Font tab, and change the font to Arial size 1 (it is critical that this font be used, since the other fonts and sizes appear to be OK). 4) Click OK twice to save change, and rename theme to another temporary name. 5) Click the Website tab at the top, and click the Navigation button at the bottom. 6) Right click on "News", and select Rename. Change the name from "News" to "WNews". Make sure you use a capital "W", not lowercase. 7) Hit the F12 key to preview the page in the browser. Does your system cut the top left of the "W" off?     - Email in Form code Hi, Since I am getting massive amounts of spam, I am changing all the email addresses to escapes - mail etc. It might help! But I noticed that in the code side of a FrontPage form, the email address shows up written normally. I wonder if it is possible to write the address, using the escape sequences, in the form properties, or to change them in the code (and still have them work!).     - Static Template Uses Absolute Pathnames! I'm new to FrontPage 2003. I created a static template for a new website.     - Is FP altering my form data? I've got a simple form on a site where people can send a plain text message. It all works OK except for the text field, which is a standard textarea.     - shared borders not working For some reason only the pages that I have linked and working on the live site have lost their shared borders. When I open them in FrontPage, they do not have a shared border on them.     - help layer & behaviors going haywire I made a drop down menu using layers & behaviors with no problem. Something happed inwhich my web page didn't like & was having problems with the scripts (something esle & fixed it) Anyway, I ended up messing with the scripts & well I am not able to add interactive buttons to my layer & change the behavior to overmouseout, etc. So, I deleted all my scripts, interactive buttons, layers, so now my web page is just the basics again. In behaviors I will change the element to make one of the button visble.     - It's a killer, ASP code gets wiped out when opening Web in FP I'm using FP2000 and have a couple of dozen ASP pages stored in a subfolder named ASP. I use MS-script editor to edit these pages and use FP to initially set up the pages and work with the HTML pages in the "root" directory. The killer is whenever I open up my local site using the "open web" option, some of the VBScript coding in the ASP pages gets wiped out. It appears any code above the HTML tag are OK. I looking at pages I've kept as back up and those that have gotten clobbered, I don't see a pattern right off. The code that is getting deleted are the first group of lines after the body tag. Then the some HTML code that is OK and yet the next set of VBscript coding lines are OK. Yet this is not true for all pages, some "1st group" blocks of code in the body are OK. Obviously I'm relying on my backups of ASP; but, with the hours of coding involved and trying to publish via FP, the code stripping is a disaster waiting to happen... Any help please Jim T. When building my web page with Frontpage 2003, the hyperlinks that link to an external web page work ok, but all links that link to an existing file they do not work.     - FP forms not working with https I recently purchased a SSL certificate for my site. Now, my contact form and email list form do not work when I access my site using https; I get a Front Page error. My site is secure, however, my server (Earthlink) does not have a redirect set, so my site is accessed at http://www.notecardsbymer.com. I would, however, like to have my "contact us" page secure but when I set up the link to https://www.notecardsbymer.com/feedback.htm, the form will not work. That's also true for the email list form on my index page. Also, one other question, if I change my entire site to be accessed through https, will that influence or change my search engine results which at this point are high ranking? When I open the webpage, picture #1 is displayed, then every 10 seconds, the picture changes.     - FrontPage doesn't work with G0ogle? Hi, I've posted this before here in a different thread ('FrontPage keeps eating & changing my code') before I realised what was happening. Now it's time to try and pass the details to MS, who I hope are listening. Basically, the Google Map JavaScript must not be enclosed in a Table. It needs to sit ideally just before the /body. But when using Shared Borders in FP 2003, FP wraps the *whole* page in a Table. Oh dear. Worse still, when this is in a DWT Template and you manually move the /table in the DWT from below the Google JS to above the Google JS, next time you open one of the DWT child pages, FP gets stuck in a loop with a window popping up 100s of times saying 'your change [i.e. FP's auto-change] cannot be made because it is in a non-editable region of the Template' (or similar message). This effectively locks you out of your files. Here is the page in question, but any similar one will do the same: www.superhighstreet.com/streets/George-Street-Richmond Here are the workarounds I have tried, and why they failed: 1) Manually move the /table in the DWT child pages: FP puts them back at the end again next time you open them (works temp) 2) Move /table in the DWT itself: FP gets stuck in a loop when it tries to 'correct' this in the DWT child pages 3) Put the top .htm file in an iframe in the DWT child page: Google AdSense cannot use an iframe, so my ads don't see the main body of the page 4) Make the shared borders into DWT and try to include them in the main page's DWT: You can't wrap one Template inside another DWT file Eventually I used SSI to fetch the top and bottom borders, but the point is I really shouldn't have had to.     - Discussion web reply order I have the replies to posts ordered from newest to oldest. Question: Is it possible to push the original post up to the top of the contents list when their is a reply? Right now, if one posts a reply to an older post, it stays way down near the bottom, and makes it less likely to be seen by people perusing the forum.     - Includes in active server page I have a site that uses active server pages that work perfectly. The menu header and footer are includes. The menu has sub menus that open gracefully on another part of the current page. All is good UNTIL I publish to another server or site on the current server where the menu shows the button to the sub menu but it does not open. There are no error messages.
