    - Why use so many frames I'm trying to work on a website and in the process I'm saving a few sites from the internet and opening them in FrontPage to get ideas. My question is, why do they use frames within frames? When I create a 2x2 frame or whatever, the borders are thicker also. I know how to reduce the border thickness so it looks like dotted lines when it's being edited. But I don't understand why they make the borders so thin (dotted lines). you can't see them when you're viewing the webpage and why do they use a frames within frames and also if they want a blank area, they use an entire empty frame for it.     - LinkBar display fails in design I'm using FP 2003 and when working in design mode my LinkBars (left border from Nav Struct) fails to display but the production site is perfect. I always see the following in design mode: 'Edit the properties for this link bar to display hyperlinks here' This use to work and one day just stopped.     - MySQL & FP My hosting provider offers ten MySQL databases per account, but only one SQL db. I've never done much with databases in websites, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to do so for a new site. Since I have so many MySQL databases at my disposal it seems I might want to work with them if possible. In searching the web I can't find much on whether MySQL and FP will play well together, so I'm guessing that perhaps they won't.     - Data View Web Part Hi, I am having a problem getting the Dataview Webpart to work in FP2003. I am connecting to a Windows 2003 Server running Windows SharePoint Services and MS SQL Server 2000 with SP3A installed.     - Are All Web Authoring Packages as Bad as Frontpage? OK, so I have a bad attitude with Frontpage. I didn't when I started, but it has gotten worse the more I have tried to get it to do what I need it to do. (1) Frontpage will not change font size and color for a global link bar. It always wants black lettering. Right click on font, and you can change away with no results. (2) It always tries to put annoying buffers between horizontal global link bar graphics. You can't get one nice contiguous graphic. (3) Left justifying the text on a vertical navigation link bar, puts the text right at the edge of the theme graphic, which looks stupid. When you type in some leading buffer spaces, it takes them out. I don't see any way to work around this, and why should it have to be a work around anyway? (4) You change the "Shared Border Properties" to a color, and it shows up in the Design view, but is back to white when you previewed in the browser.     - FrontPage 2003 security with Access 2003 Workgroup Thanks in advance for any help here... Here is my problem: I have built a MS Access 2003 database which we are using for a Payroll System. Currently, our employees submit a timecard (in paper) which I put into the database every other week. However, the company is expanding and we are hiring more people. So, I want to try and make it so each employee can connect to this database and add their biweekly timecard. Unfortunatly, not everyone has a copy of Access on their computer, so the Internal Forms in Access aren't a solution. Secondly, we are using the Access Workgroup for security. For those of us who have Access on our computer, we have to join a workgroup that has setup Groups with Users and Passwords. My goal is to make an interface where each employee could login, with their own unique user name and password, and have a time card for them to fill out. So, I tried Data Access Pages (DAP) which are built into Access as a Web Solution. However, DAPs are HTML pages and thus can not call Access Funtions, like CurrentUser, which we use in the Database to authenticate the User and limit his or her access to certain pages. But, I remembered that FrontPage can connect to a database, and you can write scripts which automatically fill in certain fields with respect to a User (aka Name, Employee Number, Department). However, because my Database is in Workgroup and is secured, FP can't talk to it. When I use the Database Interface Wizard to connect to the database, the Login.asp fails to do anything. I believe that the Access Workgroup is preventing FP from connecting. I do know that when I return to the default Access Workgroup, then use the Database Interface Wizard to create a Access Database, it works and there are no problems with Access taking to FP. Can anyone help here? How do I get a Workgroup Protected Database to talk to FP? I can't lose the Workgroup, because it has senstive data and needs a method of Security for those of us who have Access installed on our computer. And I know DAP have a method of taking to Access to varify the Access Workgroup Username/Password. What does it do that FP can't? Again, thanks for sticking in there and reading this... When I posted it, it changed to what I think is part Times New Roman and the rest looks like Ariel Bold type. The pictures are not where I put them. The tables overlape. I have a guest book that the viewer can enter their name and comments. I was
able the first time around to eliminate the "confirmation page" from
appearing. Somehow that got foiled and it now pops up. I went to the form's
options and made sure there is no htm listed for the confirmation page.I
tried to enter a dummy page but it just comes up blank and leaves the viewer
in limbo. Any guidance would be appreciated.

What page do you want to appear when comments are submitted? Use that
page as the confirmation page in Form properties.
There will *always* be a confirmation page - either one you specify,
which can be any page in your web-site, or the FP default page.
