I have IE and yet dhtml effects don't work, any reason?
is there something blocking it? should I remove any
settings or changing anything. Everything appears to be
set right, I do have a firewall could this be it?

In IE:

1. Choose Internet Options form the Tools menu.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Select the zone where you site resides (Intranet,
Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, or Restricted Sites).
4. Click Custom Level.
5. Scroll down the Settings list about 80% of the way,
and make sure Active Scripting is set to Enable.
6. Click OK and OK.

Well then, try this:

1. Choose Internet Options form the Tools menu.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. For each icon (Intranet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites,
and Restricted Sites):
a. Select the icon.
b. If the Default Level button is enabled, click it.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Click Restore Defaults.

Do you have a clean/new installation of Windows XP and the latest version of Explorer (possibly fully updated with all bug fixes) - ie a typical setup on a recently purchased computer - and do the hover buttons on this web site not appear or work ?
