When viewing the published site in the browser, right click on a space where the image "should be"
( there should be a red x image place holder in it's place ) and then select properties.
If the path to the image starts with file/// instead of
http:// the image was not imported into
your web before being linked to.
Import it, remove the old link from the page, reinsert the image, save and publish.
