    - AllWebCo templates Folks, I purchased a web template from AllWebCo and anytime I edit a page with FP 2003 and save it, the link from the DHTML menu appears to be broken when I test it with IE. I was unable to import the entire web site into FP, I was just editing one of the pages. AllWebCo seems lost when it comes to FP 2003. I looked at both the menu program (javascipts) and before and after version of a page I changed with FP. I didn't see anything "screwy" that might be tripping this up. If I edit the pages with Notepad, it works out. I'm assuming the saved pages either are in a different format or that all "simple HTML" pages (AllWebCo's description of their code) cannot be edited in FP. Which, doesn't sound quite right.     - Publish without "delete file on server" query? I'm using FP2000 to maintain a .org web site that's hosted by earthlink's servers. Whenever I publish changes to the web site (daily), FP sees all the hosting files that track visitor traffic and other things and for each one asks me, for example: "the file logs/.htaccess exists on the server but does not exist in the current web. Would you like FrontPage to remove it from <Root Web>?" I have to click "no" for each one (currently about thirty such files). I'd love to find a way to stop FP from comparing files on the server to files on the web on my C drive when I publish. Don't want to delete the files from the server, either, nor copy them to C: as they are apparently being added daily as traffic is tracked.     - Why are pages background losing colors and more... I recently upgraded to Frontpage 2003 and have only one problem so far. In Frontpage 2000, almost all of my pages page properties were "borrowed" from another page. I can't figure out how to change the properties of these pages as they now appear locked without the option of browsing other pages as I had done before. Also, when I am publishing, several times I have had entire folders of these pages "lose" their background color as well as their font color and they become plain white and black respectively.     - Need some Frontpage and Login Page Help Hi i basically posted everyone on google groups trying to get some help. I have a intranet webpage that will have some pages online the school I work for want to be able to have there students be able to go to our servers and download there homework and have a default html page with there test scores and other info. Creating the HTML pages and the server will be no problem. Here is my problem tho, I need a login page for each grade (K-8) and now when a student enters there name and password (which will be given by the school) they will automatically be sent to there default index page. Now someone told me I can just make a database using Access 2000 and enter the userid,password, and have URLredirect in the Access 2000 Database, ok I will do that, BUT I dont know how to connect the database and frontpage together so that the login page can read the database.     - Front Page freezes I am using Office 2000 on Windows XP. FrontPage opens fine, and when I choose to open a web/file, the pull-down menu comes up fine. But when I click on the web/file I want to open, the program freezes. I've been using this program for a few years now, and this has never happened until this past week.     - Access database and frontpage I am new to using Frontpage and Access and would like some advice.     - Database results wizard query Hi, I'm using the database result wizard to extract information from a Access database. The wizard allows you to enter critera at the top ASP page once it's created it. If I create a separate HTML page as a 'critera entry' page, how do I pass the information from the HTML page to the ASP AND then pass it into 'webbot' that runs the SQL statement ? In the HTML page, I call the ASP with the following command: List.asp?PR=Rooms=2 The ASP page, get the data passed with the following bit of script: <%session.LCID = 2057 Room_No=request.querystring("Rooms") %> In the webbot command, I have the following SQL statment in the s-sql field: s-sql="SELECT * FROM SOL_Voidlist WHERE (Rooms=' & Room_No & ')" If I this, it seems that the webbot command complete ignores the value in the Room_No field. If I amend the SELECT statement and type the value directly, it works OK ! Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong and why webbot ignores extrnal values held within a field ?     - Help with FormMail My feedback form worked great until I had to move my whole site into its own subweb to add a second one using the same domain. Now FormMail won't work. It sends me the results, but won't redirect the user. (at least is was sending me the results.. I'm not so sure now). I've tried putting a cgi-bin folder with FormMail in the same directory that I moved the site to and where the html forms are, but that didn't work. I'm thinking that the problem is simply that I haven't told FormMail its new path, but I can't locate anyplace to do that. I believe I've used the #Redirect syntax correctly. I copied it, added it under the #Redirect line and changed the web address to the location of the "thanks" form. Any help would be appreciated.     - Custom Control for FP 2003 Hello FrontPage Newsgroup, I would like to make a "custom" control to use on a FrontPage generated ASP page (perhaps it could be called a DTC). My concept seems simple: it will have two drop downs, one populated from a table in a database, and the other populated from a date (2 dates, today and tomorrow), and a text entry field for the time of day, and a button to submit the data. My asp page will have 3 of these "control", I thought rather than place a bunch of ddwns, and text boxes on the page, I would make 1 or 2 "controls" that would be usable else where. Does this make sense? What tool should/can I use to do this. I wish I could develop this page using ASP.NET, but the page needs to support an existing all ASP web site. Any suggestions will help. For servers without ASP (but offering PHP), this software is advertised as capturing form post data and routing it to email and/or db (mySQL, csv) without the need to create custom PHP scripts.     - Help writing a macro One of the things I have to do repeatedly is to reformat text in a manner that is more appropriate to code. I'd like to automate the process in a macro but I am having a little trouble figuring out how to do it. Here's the sequence of events I'd like to accomplish: Search forward for a new line. Select the new line characters. Replace the new line with a carriage return. Assert a shading of light gray. Assign a font of Courier New, 12 pt to the paragraph. In Word, this was dead simple and I thought I could just copy the macro over to FrontPage. However, that didn't work because the FrontPage VBA didn't recognize all of the Word VBA objects. This is the macro from Word that replaces the carriage return with a new line. It fails in FrontPage.     - Problem with SQL-Server Constraints and Frontpage I am using a Frontpage Applikation to Save a form to a SQL-database. That works so far. My database has a foreign key constraint on the table where th form inserts its Data. An if the inserted data conflicts with that constraint it does not get inserted. So far just as it should bee. The only problem is, that even in the case the insert fails, because of the constraint, my application goes to the success URL and not to the fail URL, as I would expect. How do I redirect to another page after a form has been submitted using the Send to email address form property?? I tried setting the second page to a confirmation page url but that doesn't work.     - database and email forms results with DRW Dear Mr Buyens: I am repeating my enquiry here in case my question/submission as part of the "Aug/12 Dave" ADM thread fails to raise an issue. Dear Mr. Buyens Have tried the code suggested herein (as indicated in another part of this thread), but I cant get the filed values to pass in the email, since I donâ??t know how to "intercept" the "on submit" action of the DRW webbot. I have purchased a copy of your FP03 Inside/Out book in the hopes that it would reveal how to do this ... but no joy. I include a copy of my situation from the other thread here: ------ copy ---------- I am trying to do something similar (results to both mdb and email). The interlacken code had to be modified since my ISP doesn't support CDO's, and so re-wrote it for ASPMail, and I've had to remove the "IF" construct (possible for relating to my speculation below) However, the email sends "blank field values". In my case the form/db etc are created using FP03's DRW etc. I am not sure if the webbot/onsubmit script etc is somehow intercepting the field values (including the submit button) and preventing that data to be available (e.g. not only is does the email not include the data, but also the IF construct fails since there appears to be no value in the button variable). I have tried various permutation of the email code on the form page, as well as on the confirmation page. In all cases, the best result is that an email is issued (whether or not the submit button is pressed), and the field values are null.     - force a cell to contain a fixed number of rows I've got the original FPX (I think) that comes with Win98 (ver. 2.0.2.1118). Is there any way to force a cell to contain a fixed number of rows?     - Frontpage E-Mail Message Header subject line When using Front Page to compile an on-line form for e-mail submission, is it possible to define the email subject header with predefined text and text from one of the from fields. For example, i'm aware you can choose the predifed text by placing this with-in FORM PROPERTIES then OPTIONS and EMAIL RESULTS then placing hte predefined text with-in the e-mail message header subject line, or ticking the Form Field Name and then placing the Field name in the box instead, but is it possible to use a combination of both. So if someone places their name into one of the Form Field entitled NAME then when you receive a submitted form by email the header will read something like ENQUIRY FROM 'NAME'. Can anyone help??     - Images not displaying in DBRW I'm using the db results wizard in fp2000. I have a text field in the table with the path to the image in the text field. The results display the path (the contents of the text field) and not the image. Oh, the folder in the web for the db and the images are on the same level. Help! In trying to delete a right-hand frame that appears on all the pages,
I found a file on the staging server called "borders". In it, an html file
said that all the pages would show the info on that page in the right border.
Bingo. So I deleted the file. Now, I can't get into ANY PAGES on the site at
all. I get an error message saying that there are no files under the main
folder (in reality there are lots). What can I do?

If you did not delete it in FP, open the site in FP & run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
Provide a URL of the site online
