Hi to all. My wife and I used Front Page 2000 to create
her website using a free site from tripod.com. The site
has Front Page Server Extensions installed. The counter
used to work, but it now does not. I tried to republish
it to the server, but I get the same result the red X with
the words hit counter in an indented area on the page. I
have e-mailed the host, but get the standard form letter
response. I get the same result however when I preview
the page in Front Page using the preview tab, and preview
in browser command. At this point I don't know what else
to try. If any one wants to see the page the address is
http://members.tripod.com/swope1221
Thanks for any help.
Shaggy

The hit counter bot is pointing to your C:\ drive.
Open your web in FrontPage, then open the page. Remove the hit counter and
save the page reinstall the hit counter and save the page. Then republish.

Hi Steve. I tried what you suggested and no luck. Is there something else
I can try? Instead of pointing to my c drive, where should the bot point?
Is there a configuration inside Front Page 2000 I should change?
Thanks.

Open the live page on the server and remove and reinstall the hit counter.
Save the page.
