Rollover effects to display image
In Frontpage 2003, I am trying to recreate an effect similar to the
following displayed on the Wilmington College web page:
http://www.wilmcoll.edu/locations.html
When you move your cursor over the cities on the map, a unique text message
is displayed under the College Locations heading.
I would like to know if it is possible to replace the text messages with a
unique images for each rollover.

(which I can do), however I would like the redirected

Hi
I have a frontpage 2003 created site that works great.
My problem is that it is a password protected site, and I
would like to take the viewer's logon name, that they use
to enter the site, and use it to greet the person on the
main page-like "Hello Mary", as they enter the site
Can someone tell me how I can accomplish this?
What I need is a way to collect the name from the logon
dialog box.

I have a frontpage 2003 created site that works great.
My problem is that I have a large sound file (5MB) that
is played after my main page is downloaded. What I need
is a message to inform the viewer that a file is been
downloaded and to wait for the filem, and I need the
meaasge to go away after the page with the file is
completely downloaded. Can someone tell how I can do this?
My sie which is a community website does not use .asp and
the solution needs to be on the client side. The hosting
company, of course, uses the frontpage extension.
Any solution should work in both ie and netscape

I just want to include a button after a drop down list
(linked)to a database and when I make a selection in the

FrontPage 2000 Errors...
I am running an HP-UX/Apache webserver with FrontPage 2000
server extensions. This is a tricky beast at best, but
has been working fine. Unfortunately, during a recent
update to some content on the site we began getting
a "hanging hourglass" in the Frontpage client. Once this
began occurring, some of the prior working content is now
broken. I am pretty stumped at this point and could
really use some help with this.
I am seeing the following error in the error_log on the
server...

Text going under picture...
When the viewing screen is very small or the browser is
set to have larger print, it seems that some of my text
goes under a picture.
Specifically: AdaptedSolutions.org
The text in the second paragraph goes under the picture
on the upper right WHEN the size of the main frame is
reduced (i.e., you can pull the edge with your mouse to
make it happen).
I have the picture properties set to 20 vertical and 20
horizontal and I thought that by putting a 20 pixel area
around the photo nothing could infringe on the space
there, but perhaps I am mistaken.

I have tried to insert video to frontpage. After

little icon. Even when I preview or upload onto my

problems with thumbnail photo resizing to fit
I am working in front page 2002.
I have a photo in my website that I made into a thumbnail.
When I click on the thumbnail to bring up the actual size
of the photo, it keeps resizing to fit the entire photo on
the page. It is a news article that I want to be big

controlling decimal spaces on web database
Hi,
When I server up data from an Excel spread sheet using
the insert database function output from formulas often
have more than 8 decimal spaces. Any way to control this?
Changes I make in the Excel spreadsheet seem to have no
effect on the output on the web.

Email link prompts, body text, etc.
Issue:
I have correctly inserted text within the email link
prompt within FP. Result: a desirable effect when a Web
viewer clicks the link (Community Info Request) from the
URL www.echoesoftheheart.com.
When their Netscape or IE Email prompt appears the
information contain therein is viewable, i.e. Send to
name, Subject matter, and lastly text within the body of
the Email. However with AOL the text in the body only does
not appear.
Question: Is there something I need to do or is this a
Filter AOL 9 has applied that prevents the body text from
appearing?

iFrames in FP 2000 vs 2003
Should be a quick and easy question....
I thought today I would sit down and learn about iframes. Found a
nice webpage and pulled the source code into FP2000 and got the
alternate message from the source code saying this browser doesn't
support iframes. That led me to believe FP2000 doesn't support them.
Did I assume correctly and if so, can I expect FP2003 to support them?

Slow formation of hyperlinks
I have been using FrontPage 2000 up until about 2 months
ago. I then installed the FrontPage 2002 Update package.
Imediately the time it takes to open the hyperlink wizard
when from 2 or 3 seconds with FrontPage 2000 to
approximately 45 seconds with FrontPage 2002.
I uninstalled both programs > then installed ver. 2000 and
formed several hyperlinks - taking 3 seconds or so for the
hyperlink to form.

create a pdf from front page
i have created a catalog using front page 2002. One page
i have a hover button, in a list of other buttons for
links, that i want to print a particular section of the
page. the page has several lines of text as a heading
and a table (1 row x 2 columns) with links in the left
cell, and about 50 lines of text in the right cell. i
want the user to be able to click this hover button (in
the left cell) to print the heading and the text in the
right cell. If a macro can accomplish this, i would not
mind having macros in this page. my VBA knowledge in
front page is zero, i have some knowledge of VBA for
excel, but have never dabbled with VBA for anything else
but excel. my other question was if this task could be
accomplished by creating a pdf file with the header and
text to be printed from acrobat reader. any advice would

Hit Counter
Using FrontPage 2000, I have been attempting to add a hit
counter to my web page, but when I view it in Preview,
all I see is [Hit Counter]. When I upload it to my isp

I just found a folder in one of my Webs called new_page_1_files which FP
2002 must have automatically generated. In it are two very small, blank gif
files and something called filelist.xml.
Can some tell me why or how this was generated and can I safely delete all
