Would I need to download the site or just upload the new
pages?

You need to publish the online site to a location on your computer's
hard drive. Then, with the web open, design and save the new pages. Then
publish the complete site back to the online location. Once you have
done this the initial time, which lets FP get all of its
behind-the-scenes tracking info together, in the future you can just
open the web on your computer, design and save the new pages, and then
publish only those pages to the online location.

After re-plublishing the site, will the other person be
able to still work on his site with notepad with no
problem?
Sorry for asking silly questions. This is not my site. Im
volunteering to help them out. Dont want to destroy their
website. I want to make sure I got everything down.
By the way thanks so much for your help.

Thank you for your help.

sorry about this. I just found out that the server I will
uploading to doesnt have the fp extentions. Is this a
problem. Or maybe there is a better way of doing this.

thanks again

Yes and no. If you use any of the FrontPage components that require the
FP extensions, then he will break the extensions when he uploads his
material, since he does not have FP and FTPing breaks the extensions. If
you stay away from anything that requires the extensions, you should be
okay.

As I implied previously, that's just as well if your friend is going to
continue to design in notepad and upload stuff on his on.
