I've added an .ra sound file to my website page through "page properties' and
"background," yet the file will not work. In Frontpage 2000, I have saved the
embedded file yet still nothing. Am I omitting something?

Hi, Bob,

The background feature in FrontPage is for background images not sound.
There are a couple ways that you can add background sound to your web pages.
One is to use the Windows Media Player, which you can download from the
Microsoft Web site; the other is to modify the HTML and insert the necessary
HTML into your page. You can find information about both at

It is genrally not recommended to use backgroud sounds. If
you must use it I would recommend a more widespread format,
as many people do not have realplayer. Best to use would be
a midi file
