Hi,

I am using Frontpage 2000. I have placed an image on the
left side of a web page. I'd like to a paragraph of text
to the right of this image. This paragraph will span
several lines of text. I would like the top line of this
paragraph to be aligned with the top of my image. I'd
like all subsequent lines to flow naturally underneath
this top line, but still to the right of my image. I
tried going into 'picture properties' for my image and
choosing 'top' alignment. This lines up my first line of
text with the top of my image, but the second line of
text appears all the way underneath my image, leaving a
big gap. Can anyone tell me how I can get the formatting
I want?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Ron,

Thanks...that worked great. To take it a step
farther...Let's say I have a really long text paragraph
that is left aligned on my page. Is it possible to place
a left justified image in the middle of this paragraph so
that the paragraph just wraps around it? In other words,
the first couple lines of the paragraph would be left
justified on the web page, then you would see the image
with the text of the paragraph now left justified at the
right side of the image. Underneath the image, the text
from the paragraph would move back to the left side of
the page.

Thanks,
Paul

You could structure your page with tables, using the appropriate amount of
cells/columns and place your text where you want it, and your image where
you want it.

Hi Tom,

I'm having trouble using a table to do what I want. I
started out by creating a 2 X 2 table. I merged the two
cells in row #1 and placed my image in in row #2, col
#1. If I type enough text in row #1 to fill it up, I
would like it to spill into row #2, col #2. This doesn't
seem to happen. Do you know of anything I can do to make
this happen?

Thanks,
Paul

See http://www.rxs-enterprises.com/tests/alignedimage.htm
The method is best described as hit-and-miss.
