Will counters continue to work

TheMSsForum.com: The Microsoft Software Forum

I have a counter on a page that I do not want to publish for a month or so,
will the counter continue to work. I need to update that page and it's
subpages, but I dont want to publish till it is complete.

The counter works if you view the page in a web based server.
