    - Form Field Issues - Need Help I have a site built in .asp. I just built a form field to have data sent to me via email and that page is an html page. Problem is, whenever someone enters in the required field content and clicks "submit", an authentication screen pops up and asks them for a user name and password (as if they are logging on to the "web" when first opened).     - web page not loading correctly Help! One page of my website, www.stonehurstwaltham.org, is not loading correctly. When the site is live, and I lay my mouse over the button for the "story of stonehurst" page, the file name on the bottom of the screen includes a lot of extra info. It reads file:///c:/documents and settings/hleavell/my documents/my webs/myweb/stor_s.html instead of simply http://www.stonehurstwaltham.org/stor_s.html. When I type in the correct url address, the page loads without a problem. I can't figure out where to go in front page to fix the root file name.     - frontpage 2000 I have uploaded a web page to my internet server. I can go to the url and see the page, yet when I try to edit it with frontpage, it will not ask me for my username or password, so needless to say, I cant save any changes to my site, add a counter, etc. when I try to publish the web using frontpage or using the web wizard, I constantly get the message that my server does not have frontpage extensions installed.     - Trying to build a report in Frontpage Help me please!!! I'm trying to create a report in Frontpage connected to a database I built in Access. I tried doing the insert>database>report, but it won't let me connect to the table I need to use. I can connect to the four other tables I have in the database.     - Password dialog box I am talking about the HTML/JavaScript code underlying the web page that the password box is on. In FrontPage the code for the dialog (pop up box)is hidden. However, I can see it when I right click on the name of the page and "Open With" notepad. However, I can't get any edits I make there override the Microsoft code that is automatically embedded. When I open the code in "Macro" with the FrontPage script editor, the "hidden" code is in fact hidden, making it impossible for me to change it there. However, when I test it, both the secure and unsecure pages come up, without sending me to the logon.asp page. When I try to view the logon.asp page directly, I see the code instead of the logon dialog box.     - TEXTBOX COLOR Is there anyway to color the a textbox? I have a table containing five textboxes of which three have a light yellow color attached to them. I don't know how this was achieved but it looks pleasent. I attempted to color the others using the cell backround option but it won't work since it colors the whole cell. I also tried to copy and past the boxes. Interestingly I can recieve a total of four colored boxes. Then I assumed that maybe it had to do with an area of the page being colored except that when I cut and pasted the additional text boxes the color from my original three switched locations.     - Need help with password dialog box I can set up a password box in FrontPage 2003; however, when I apply the password in trial runs, if I mistype the information, I get a dialog box that tells me what the password is. That ruins the idea of keeping a password secret. I have tried to go into the source code and change how the dialog box responds, but after I save the changes, the dialog box continually reverts to the preset parameters and announces what was "expected" by the person inputting incorrect data.     - Removing themes from pages Hello, We are using frontpage for our website only because the owner of the company knows how to use it. I have managed to gain a very poor opinion of the product. ONE basic thing I would like to do is have some pages not include a theme that we are using. I strip all reference to any theme using notepad, but on random acts of accessing the page, the theme and webbots get included into the page. Does anyone know how to fix this? I think frontpage could be a good product, but it just seems to have a mind of it's own.     - Decimals in field of 'Database results' (losing zero's) Hi, I have a database art.dbf (Microsoft Visual Fox Pro table). In one field I store the price of my article as 'numeric' with 2 decimals. I imported it in Frontpage, but when I want to display this field, it doesn't put the zero's at the end.     - FP 2003 insert hyperlink problem I just upgraded to FP 2003. I've been using FP since 1997, and this is the first time I've had this problem: First let me explain that I work directly on the server; I don't keep my website locally and publish. When creating a hyperlink, I can no longer see files in subfolders (not sub-webs). Example: I highlight some text on a web page, go to insert hyperlink, and the Insert Hyperlink dialog appears (as per usual). Link to: Existing Web Page or File is selected.     - Inline frames and background picture In an earlier post I asked about how to create the scrolling text like at the following site. www.powerfacemusic.com/main_frameset.htm I received an excellent idea from that posting to use an inline frame, and I am almost there with that. The problem I'm having is how to fix the background image so the text scrolls over it. When I insert my image, I have two problems, 1. it scrolls with the text and 2. the image repeats itself. Frontpage help says to make it a watermark and the text will scroll over it but that doesn't work I seem to recall seeing an answer here regarding the repeating background image, but can't seem to find that now.     - Viewing Issues I have made a webpage using Microsoft Frontpage 2002. The address is www.ccfr.net When I have made changes, I have always been able to ensure everything is viewable by using Internet Explorer. Recently when I attempt to access the page on my computer, none of the GIF's will show. When I ask other people to view the page and see if they have the same problem, they say no, it looks fine.     - Visual Basic - ASP vs DRW I've started to hit the wall with DRW being able to meet my rerequirements. Until now I've avoided digging in and fear the code requirement under ASP to make Database select/insert/modify/delete statement. I do understand SQL and some fundamentals of the ASP code that wraps around results. Where can I go to look at samples (snippets) or an end to end example set on connecting to a database already set up as a SYSTEM DSN? I've done some searches and poked around a bit and not seeing a simple approach to grabbing hold of the horns. I thought there used to be 'pinned' references to sites that featured exactly this type of information in this forum but not seeing anything like that at this time. The issue that put me over the top was DRW allowing information to be inserted such as an email address, but not allowing me to do a SELECT COUNT(*) as COUNT FROM users WHERE (email_addr = '::email_addr::') Seems you can hardcode (email_addr='joebloe@test.net') the request and DRW will return a match. But if you pass the parameter from a form DRW isn't able to find the same match the hardcode provided. Any help would or direction where to start would be appreciated. Typically, you would save the criteria in a database and
then write an off-line process to perform the searches and
send the mail.

This isn't something built into FrontPage.
