I have FrontPage98.

1.) Can I upgrade directly from FP98 to FP 2003 -- without any of the
other year's systems?

2.) Will it be a simple, easy install? Is there anything I need to know?

Thank you.

1) Yes, if it's a full version of 98. FP 2003 requires at least Windows
2000 Pro SP3, or WinXP.

2) You are used to using FP 98 with a personal web server. If you wish to
continue using a web server, you will need Windows XP Pro, which uses IIS
5.1 as the web server. WinXP Home does not support a microsoft web server
or FP server extensions.

I develop disk-based sites, test them locally in a browser, and publish
them. I use webbots and form handling to allow visitors to respond to my
surveys by clicking 'submit' to generate e-mails to me.

Thank you again.

You can't use PWS.

I use Windows XP Pro. If that will use a PWS, should I install 2003 without
the PWS?

As I pointed out in my original reply, you install and use IIS 5.1, which is
the web server in WinXP Pro.

You do *not* install pws. It doesn't work with FP 2003, and it will corrupt
your Windows XP

Don't install PWS, install IIS...then I think you have to install the =
extensions too. I haven't done it in a while so cant offer more on that.
