    - Eml stationery made easy in FP 2003 Hi there, Can someone please help me out there re this question: On my old Front Page 2000 and 2002 I was able to make eml stationery and keep the files in a folder in My Documents and was able to access the eml there. Now with the Front Page 2003 my eml's are still there, but they have changed from Send to, to Reply/Forward and when I do this my Email address comes up like forwarding an unclean email.     - Pivot Table Data Connection I'm somewhat stumped by how I get a Pivot Table Web component to connect to the SQL database on our shared hosting providers web server. I use Front Page on my local machine and "open" our website remotely so I in effect edit the pages "live" (I know I know). If I create a new ASP page and insert a Pivot Table web component I need to connect it to the datasource. The issue appears to be that because the SQL Server DB is behind the firewall at the host it can only be accessed from IIS when the pages are active and not when I am editing them. This however prevents one from carrying on with the Pivot Table wizard because it needs to see the data to manipulate it prior to saving the page. Any ideas how you get round this? Robert.     - tab key I have a page that updates a databse and I would like to setup the page so if a user uses the enter key the page moves form feild to feild like it would if they used the Tab key.     - Unable to create subwebs in Front Page 2002 I recently started web hosting through Yahoo Small Business Web Hosting and created my first web page using Front Page 2002. Yahoo works with Front Page 2002 server extensions, and my page works great. However, I am now trying to create a subweb to direct viewers to the Spanish version of the web page, which will have different shared borders than the English version plus other items as well. According to the Front Page Help, all I need to do to create a subweb is go to Tools/Server and then click on Administration Home and follow the rest of the instructions. The only problem is that my "server" button in my Front Page tools menu is disabled so I am unable to continue the process. Can anyone help an inexperienced website builder? Thank you very much.     - How to make a picture sharp on web page? Hi, I created some pictures using CorelDraw and Photoshop, they looks very clear on the photo editor. I saved them as jpg. When those pictures inserted to web page, their resolution become very low. These pictures is opened directly by web browser, it looks clear.     - Variable in Form Object I have several form objects on my web page (the objects are check boxes and text fields which are created dynamically from a db query). I am trying to manipulate the form objects using JavaScript. If I hard code the object, the code works perfectly. But, I need to dynamically change the form field. This is what I have: document.data.DPT85.disabled = false (this works perfectly, but the fields all have differen numbers) .Data is the name of the form .DPT85 is the name of the text box I want to dynamically choose the text box field. I have a varible that captures the number (in this case 85). I want to store the number in the varible like so: sDPT = "DPT"+recNum (recNum equals the record number). (the variable is successfully captured in this step) My question: How can I dynamically change the object to represent my variable?     - forms confirmation default I have a feedback form which opens up with a default confirmation page once the informer depresses the "submit" button. I have been able to get it to post the results in a file and also send an email to me with the information. I have FP2003. It's been awhile, but when I had FP 2000 I was able to get that program to not open up a confirmation page. It put the information in a file, or on a page, which the informer did not see when the submit button was clicked. It simply sent the information and then reset itself.     - Help needed with ASP & IMG SRC Hi all I hope someone can help as I am completly stumped. I have several image thumbnails in a folder outside of my web root (for security reasons). On a site page called 'showThumbnails.asp' I use code to cycle through this folder and populate the src attribute of the img tag. When the asp page is opened in a web browser, nothing shows, although if I look at the page source (via the browser), the img tags are all properly completed.     - Info windows, on focus, on blur....BLOCKED! Hi, I am a bit of a newbie but bit by bit i am getting my website together. The one last thing that i want to do is on the "about us" page is this. When a user clicks on an image of each member of the team, i want to have a small 300x300 pixel pop up window appear with a photo and details of the team member. I have these pages created already - not opening them on the fly. I have written the necessary script which appears to work fine. Only problem is that i wanted to add the all important "on focus" (bring to front), "on blur" (close window) actions. These work fine but IE keeps blocking the script from working with that annoying information bar. Thus rendering the automation of these windows unnecessary. If you have to click to unblock, then may as well click to close the window, right? I am using (unfortunately as can't afford to upgrade) FPage 2000. Would it make any difference if i wrote javascript in an external file and linked to it, or would this still cause the same problem? I fnot any other suggestions... I'm looking for a set of web page design standards (online info, or a reference to a book that does a good job of this) that include a set of systematic criteria for web page/ web site evaluation, for example: * Is the page so large that it won't fit on a standard resolution screen? * Are clickable graphics visually distinct from non-clickable graphics? * Are descriptions for each potential action ("click here to ....") embedded inline with the areas the user will interact with? * Is there a single-click way to get back to the main page? * From the main page, can you get to every page within 4 clicks? * From the main page, are all subpages categorized clearly so a user will always know where to find what they are looking for? * etc. While I need at least the physical/visual design, I'd prefer to also have as much information on functionality (like the number of clicks) and site structure as well. I'm much less interested (for now) in the programming details- I want to develop a good design first, then figure out how to implement it rather than trying to design a less functional interface because I feel limited by the tools available.     - Cascade Delete Related Records with code I figure there must be a fairly standard way to handle deleting related records in different tables with code. I know you can set the Cascade Delete Related Records when setting up the relationship but I already have records in one table and not the other which keeps me from setting this now.     - stuck on form mailer I have a website that I created with Frontpage 2003 and I purchased a SSL Certificate. I found that the Frontpage forms weren't supported with the SSL. I asked my Hosting company (godaddy) if they would install extensions on port 443, but they said that they couldn't, so they pointed me to directions on how to point to their gdform.php, which I did. The form now works on the secure page, and I receive the email with the data input, but, once I click on the Submit button, I receive the error.... "You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure...... " I changed the redirect for the confirmation page from: <input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="thankyou.html" /> to the following.... <input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="https://www.mywebsite.com/thankyou.html" /> but then I get the "Ooops, Page not found error". I realized with redirect line above, is actually redirecting to the following URL which is why I'm seeing the "Oops, Page not found error". http://www.mywebsite.com/https://www.mywebsite.com/thankyou.html (notice the string of two urls together...one http, and the other https) If I remove the redirect command for the confirmation page completely, I still get the "You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure...... " error. What would be the correct redirect line, to redirect people to the secure thankyou page so that they don't get the "You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure...." error ?     - Difficulty adding records to a Access database through frontpage Hi all This has been posted somewhere else too. i thought i would try posting it in more places and organize the problem a little better. My system is running WinXP pro, IIS5.1, FP2003. I have successfully created and imported a database into the web. I have also successfully accessed and displayed the records in the database using a combination of DRW and direct manipulation of the asp code. The problem is trying to add records to the database. I have tried directly creating a form and making sure that the form fields and database columns match. Connections were also verified. I accessed the form through the browser and added a record. The operation completed successfully, however, no data was actually recorded. I have also used the DIW to no avail. Same problem, successful completion but no data actually written. I have seen the KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;219158 However, that did not help. A step-by-step of one of the methods I have used is: 1. Create a new database (test.db) with one table (Results), two fields, an autonumber field for the primary key, and another field which I have called value1. The field value1 was set to text with default values. 2. Imported the database into frontpage, which was placed into \fpdb. The necessary connections were verified. 3. Create a new page and named it test.asp. 4. Inserted a form using Insert | Form | Form. 5 Inserted a text box using Insert | Form | Textbox. 6. In the textbox properties, changed the name to value1 and the rest of the selections set to default. 7. In form properties, selected 'send to database' 8. In form properties, saved fields, ensured that the formfield and database columns matched, i.e. both are value1. 9. In IIS, I selected the \fpdb directory and checked, script source access, read, write,directory browsing, log visits, and index this resource. 10. Open test.asp in a web browser and key in information. Here I have entered 'one1' into the lone textbox. hit submit and get a confirmation page. 11. Open test.db and nothing has been added. I have also tried letting frontpage create a database and connection too. From what I understand, this will prevent any errors related to form field and database columns not being exactly the same. This did not solve the problem, i.e. I still get a confirmation without any data actually being written into the database. I next tried sending the form data to a csv file and a text file. Upon entering the data into the text box and hitting submit, no default confirmation page was displayed, and neither of the files contained any results. Does this mean that I have a configuration problem? I checked the permissions, and I have gone to the extent of making all folders and its contents read, write, and executable. I'm trying to create a subweb using Front Page 2002 but the "server" button
in my tools menu is disabled. How do I enable it. My server -Yahoo!- has
Front Page 2002 extensions and supports subwebs, so I don't know what I am
doing wrong. Please help!

You should check with Yahoo to see if they support subwebs and if they do,
do they allow you to create them. That may be something they have to do for
you.

You have to open your site "live" to have access to the Server option.
IIRC Yahoo does not support subwebs - at least when I was with them they
didn't.
