    - Missing files and pages I'm working with FrontPage 2002 and have sucsessfully uploaded files to the site using Cute FTP. This past few days I created three new pages.     - frontpage confirmation same window I've seen this issue posted in a couple other places and was unable to find the answer myself. It's an issue that has been driving me nuts for years and I just solved it. I could never figure out why some of my forms would open the confirmation page in a separate window while others opened it in the same window. Here's the simple scoop: if your form is an include on another page, the confirmation will open in a new window. If your form is not an include, it will open the confirmation on the same page.     - How does a Log-In field work I've seen many web sites that offer a log-in feature. What is involved in putting a log-in for my site? Do I need some sort of back end database? Can I used Access, or Sharepoint? Is this something the web hosting company provides?     - Editing existing Web Page I hope this is not a really stupid question... Here goes... Five years ago I made a web page on Road Runner (my personal home page). I'm sure I used frontpage. Couple of problems I am encountering in trying to edit this web page by adding new photos and text by adding new pages. I cannot figure out how to do this. We have a customer who uses utf-8 encoded websites and wants mailto-link on some websites with integrated subject/content. Website is written in ASP (.NET is not available at customer site).     - Need help finding information in my Web site I recently took over the IT position at a church, and one of the big things they need done is to keep the Web page updated. I am only vaguely familiar with web design and FrontPage. The main page contains a section with announcements, and I can see the page that refers to the announcement detail, but I can't find where the detail is kept.     - Forms not working with a new subsite format Hello I used to have a single hosting account for each of my websites. I had forms on those sites and they all worked fine as far as inputting the information and all information went directly to an email account. I have since re-configured all my sites under a main site and my sites are all subsites - it seems the problem with the email forms lies somewhere in this new arrangment. After filling in the form and when the end-user hits "submit" nothing happens. I would think the forms would still work as the info was going to an email account rather than a database....     - Newsletter width I create a newsletter in FrontPage with several sections actually created as tables. THE PROBLEM: Some of the recipients complain that it is larger than their screen and they are forced to scroll horizontally to read a line.     - thumbnails When creating thumbnails using FP2003, I have several problems. 1. FP creates the thumbnail but appends a number at the end of the file name. Why? 2.     - Download without privelages My users run my Windows application and run FTP protocol to upload some executable (some other excitable) to my site. On other occasion they use IE browser to download the executable (that was earlier uploaded ).     - Events View Filtering Phenomena I am using WSS 2.0 and FrontPage 2003. I have to create a weekly E-Newsletter page. There would be one webpart page per week. All would be stored in a document library. Part of the E-Newsletter displays info from the Events List for that week. I have done two varities of aspx pages; one with the Events webpart placed on the page, the other using a DataView. In both cases, the web part is filtered by the Event's Begin field. I have noticed that the ../Events/AllItems.aspx page has a million 'Events' views under the 'Select a View' section. It appears the WSS or FrontPage creates a new Events view for each aspx page. Is there anyway to get around this? Is there a non-visible webpart that could be put on each page that could be set to a date and then used to feed the Events webpart as a parameter?     - Design so Ad Blocker not block valid content I recently created a FrontPage site with a professionally designed template. Looks great, but a friend with 'Ad Blocker' software (in Norton Internet Security 2006) cannot see my site properly unless he turns off 'Ad Blocker'. I don't actually have any advertisements on this site. It appears that the ad blocker is seeing some of the software as advertisements. In particular, I have some JavaScript and a dynamically generated navigation panel. The navigation panel does not appear at all if 'Ad Blocker' is on. Consequently, I would like to change my design so that 'Ad Blocker' does not block it. I know that there are a number of blockers out there and presumably they work in different ways. However, as more and more people get 'Ad Blocker' software, I can see that this would be a growing issue with people seeing my site. Are there some general coding guidelines to avoid this problem?     - Frontpage should have 'word wrap' view option for the code I can't seem to find an option to view the code with 'word wrap' like I can with other HTML editors (or even "Notepad'). It really becomes a problem when you want to highlight code that is off the screan. (I want to spend my time making money not coding!) I have an Access database embeded in a site. It uses ASP pages to return data. Recently my ISP provider moved from an older versin to IIS6 / Windows2003 server. Most pages still work, but any with a date function do not. The database now only returns certain dates, for example 10/10/2007 works, but 01/09/2007 does not, even thougth this date has valid database entries. The fault is reproduceable at: http://www.derbyshiremason.org/newpglroot/masonicConcepts/calendar.asp I have tried changing the locale to both US and GB, but this does not affect the problem.     - F.P. 2003 Extentions I have a Linux plan with my host. While trying to upload using the same process I've always used, I get a message from F.P.. Server error, stating the server sent a responce which F.P. could not parse. The option I've always used in remote web properties is F.P. or Share point services. A Tech. at host co. said they don't use share point service, when I told him it states OR Share point serv., and that I have always used this option for uploading, he replied it again and to just drag and drop into the FTP.     - FP and MS Access Browse Error Frontpage 2003 and MS Access DB. Using the Database Results wizard and setting the one record per display option, so that the next /prior/last etc buttons appear. I can only browse through the first 2 records and jump to the last record. Despite the fact that there may be several hundred records to display! I have tried this on two different installations on Win XP each time the same results, I have tried with my own dB (.mdb) and with MS NWIND (.mdb) still no joy.     - front page is blank Further to the problem i had posted which is below: "When i open my front page folder it opens the version3.0 folder after which it opens the bin folder.When i click on this bin folder it does not have anyting in it at all it displays a blank.     - IE7 or Frontpage problems - I think a bug in IE7 using Frontpage I believe I have found a new bug in IE7 IE7 takes my html code and deletes some source code automatically. I use Microsoft Frontpage 2003 and develop my html code. When I put this onto my ftp site all works fine in previous versions of IE. But when you open the webpage in IE7 the source code is different than when you open the page in IE6 ? Why would IE7 delete some source code ? When I convert my pictures to a thumbnail, I only get one file to save and
not two, consequently the thumbnail does not open. its the same if I import
a picture all I get is a box and a red cross. This has only just occurred in
front page. Any idea's to what has gone wrong.

Have you imported the images to a location "inside" your web "before" you create the thumbnail??
