    - Cell alignment question with different resolutions My 2 rows X 3 col table holds a button in each cell. When the web is viewed with 640 X 480, the cells are fairly close together, with just a little spacing between each cell. Most importantly, they are spaced evenly across the page. At 800 X 600 the cells are further apart, but not spaced evenly. At 1024 x 768 the cells are still further apart, AND they seemed to be spaced evenly.     - Framed Pages loose framing after hyperlinking to PayPal Hi all, Novice stumpling thru Front Page 2003. Just playing and experimenting with paypal - buy now button. I've got a web page with frames. As long as I stay withing my own web site the frames work properly. ie indexes on the left displaying content in the middle pane. However, when I hyperlink to paypal, which display in the middle pane as expected. I click on the previous index from the left pane, my hyperlink opens as a new browser window.     - Request to Front Page MVP - Need Hyperlink to Secured Registered Users Support articles and/or examples Firstly, thanks to all for the support offered to this site and this post. I've asked for an MVP response only in a desperate attempt to escape the quagmire of research and depression I've found myself in. Secondly, I'm asking only for hyperlinks and hopefully examples. Being a complete novice to Front Page 2003, I've stumbled thru setting up a nice web site. Only a few outstanding issues remain. 1.) A secured way to receive and send email messages. 2.)     - How to make text change when slide show pic changes Ok, here is how i have it setup. On my website I created a layer and put a picture inside of it. Next to the layer I wrote a discription of the image. I would like to have it where either the picture changes, and the text changes with it, like a slide show, or have it so that a random pic and its discription appear each time that the webpage is opened. Is there any way to do the later of the two? I figure that if i create two seperate automatic slide shows that the text and pictures will correspond, but Im more interested in the second option.     - Problems with buttons after Windows Service Pack 2 I have a very simple intranet page that has some hover buttons with hyper links on it. After installing Windows Service Pack 2, there are only little red X's where the buttons should be. If I click on the area where the button should be it does nothing. If I right click and select open it follows the hyperlink. If I right click and select save target as it allows me to save the file that the hyperlink points to.     - cant install FP 2002 anymore I had to reformat. When installing Front Page 2002, it places IE 5.5 setup.exe and attemps to run it. IE 5.5 is no longer available. I have IE6 installed now.     - Frontpage 2003 Timeouts I just upgraded to Frontpage 2003 and now I can not publish updates without the site timing out before everything is done publishing. This causes the site to lose the navigation bar. I have subwebs I created in Frontpage 2000. The site was opened in 2003 then tyied to publish. Failed the first time. I did notice that many of the files I put in the subwebs (while under FP 2000) are also showing up in the root directory along with the subweb. Is this normal or could this be part of the problem?     - Link to 'Contact Me' Hi, in FrontPage 2000 I have a navigation bar that has the usual links - home, picture gallery etc and all work well locally. When uploaded however, all except one are displayed correctly in text. The 'Contact Me' link is displayed (on every page) as a box with a x in it.     - Two Index Pages For some reason I have two Index pages on both the server & computer. The only different is the icon and the extension. One extension is HTM the other is HTML.     - LAYERING I built a site banner and the cells to hold the pics. In the center of the banner I have a 45 degree line, about 30 pixels thick, going from left to right. In the upper right area I'm trying to add a flash movie of fading pictures but don't want the pictures to show up on top of the line but behind it. When I published, the new Index comes up as the home page, but when I start to navigate all the "up" buttons return to the OLD index.     - Can I pass a parameter in a hyperlink? I have a hyperlink defined on a page. I added a parameter to the hyperlink (querystring name "activity" with a value of "activity1").     - Missing Images on redirect of 404 page errors One of the things I was interested in with the new server I just moved to was the ability to set what happens when someone hits an error on my web site. I've been with Interland for years and recently moved to a new server. Through the control panel I could indicate where a person would end up if they hit a dead page on my site. Obviously we pointed the 404 error to move the person to the main page of my site. HOWEVER, when I type in what use to be a valid location on my site, but is dead now, my index.html page comes up without any images. Example: http://www.kcflorist.com/by.occasion/everyday/ed.01.htm That should put you on my site but where did the images go? Well, Interland said it is my code and here it there response: "The source code is not correct. The location specified in the image source tag should begin with a / Example: Correct img src="/01.admin.files/nav.images/world.gif" Example: Incorrect img src="01.admin.files/nav.images/world.gif" Your page using the incorrect example. By correcting the code you will resolve the error." OK...I added the / to the images and not too surprising, the images appeared on my index.html page as dead.     - Frontpage should show an indicator that some script exits here In dreamweaver we see an indicator where there are scripts in HTML document. But frontpage does not show anything indicating the existence of code that need webserver to run such as asp, php etc. I think it should show it. Second one is that, I think there should be given an option when creating a website project that in which case file & folder name will be generated. User can choose from UCase, Lcase, or Mixcase. When we upload our files to a unix server it is a greate problem with file name case as we know unix is case sensitive. This two problems reduces my intension to use frontpage.     - Navigation Rendering Problems I have recently modified my left shared border and the navigation bar only to find out that it is not publishing properly. It would appear that the link bar is being produced in its most narrow size, truncating some of my text and the graphics it is using. I have tried changing the style only to have the same results. Is there anyone here who can, and wants to, take a template and divide it up
into shared borders and get them to work right on my server (line up right
with each other, use the style sheets, and replace the old shared borders)?
I have a designer who has divided the page into borders, but nothing is
right - the page has errors now, the style sheets don't control the fonts,
etc; the borders don't line up, and they don't stretch - down or across -
like the template does. I am of course willing to pay!

Getting shared borders "stitched" to always look seamless is not always possible
- consider using include pages instead of shared borders
(or w/ FP 2003 a Dynamic Web Template)
