    - Include Pages I am basically using div to create my menus. And then with frontpage hover behaviors when the mouse hovers over a menu item, the div unhides. He says that using Firefox the menus with include pages don't function properly.     - Maximizing Resolution Is there a code I can use to make my webpage maximize itself regardless of the viewers set screen resolution? Example: I designed the site with 800x600 resolution, but now I find out that most of my visitors use 1024 x 768 resolution. I want the page to be full screen for all visitors.     - Problem using m3u script I have an odd problem with an m3u script, designed to play multiple windows movie files in a row. (Sponsor video, followed by the video itself) If played individually, all video pieces play without a hitch. However, if I line them up in the m3u file, when I access the script, the first file plays perfect (both video & audio), but the second and third files play audio only. All videos are encoded at 218 K Bits/sec. Any ideas why this isn't working properly?     - getting FP 2003 pages to validate Using WC3 markup validation, I can get my banner.htm file that includes my logo, text title and drop down menu to validate with no errors by doing a lot of clean-up to the F/P code. I am using nothing but table format throughout. I am using: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> As soon as I do an "include" and insert the banner.htm into a page, FP is generating code with 10 to 20 errors.     - Sizing an image as a the window sizes I have a graphic at the top of our page which is just our logo in a bar going across the screen where the color changes slowly from a lighter shad to a darker shade like some of the Windows Themes. like this where the small case x letters are the color transitions: LOGOxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx As the window size gets smaller, less of the logo and the bar show like below.     - how do I set up a "DOCTYPE" Declaration in html I have built a website shop using "Frontpage 2000" which is now up and working. I have a IBP 8 Programme which scans your website to make it accessible for search engines, but when it scans my "index" page it keeps asking me to insert a "DOCTYPE DECLARATION" which shows which html script I am using, because it says the search engines will not be able to read the pages without one.At the beginning of my page script it just reads <html>.     - Security and web pages and pages on my own computer. I was working with some script to show a calendar. I could go on the web to the site and see the example. I down loaded the example I made a new htm page and added the script when I open the page on my own computer the page is blocked by the explorer security. I can click on the information bar and let it have permission to run and it comes up ok. What can I do to get my system to let this page come up It lets the one from the internet come up but not mine.     - anti-spam with image in fp 2003 There are a number of ways to hide or setup text with email attached to it so that spam harvesters can not get to it or at least helps. But with all the tips I have seen, none of them address using an image and adding this trick. What I have done is interested an image in a webpage I am laying out with FP2003 and I want to right click on the image and add a mailto: there, but also want to add some kind of anti-spam stuff as well.     - FrontPage 2000 PullDown positioning or Db filter. I have a form with a databse fed PullDownBox. It loads data just fine. select and use it to load data onto another page. Work fine. My question is... I want to add a TextBox to the form and use it as SEARCH filter, where, after its first display (default of "A"), wil help position the PullDownBox to a specific entry. Example: The PullDownBox has a complete list of all Employee Name (Last, First). I open the PullDown and scroll through all 5000 entries I click one and bring up the employees page. What I would like to do i add a TextBox to the form (Find Employee) where the User may enter partial argument (Smith, or Tayl, etc.), press Enter, and have thi entry automatically position the PullDownBox to the Nearest entry. I have tried creating the TextBox, giving it a default value of "A" then using it in the SQL entry as a "LIKE". But wasn't able to get tha to work. I prefer staying with the "clickable" Frontpage options (and variabl fill-ins) rather than resorting to custom html entries. BUT, I will i I have to.     - Desperate for answer to line spacing permanent configuration I have read all the old posts re line spacing in the General section. None of these are useful to me For a start html suggestions are not specific and I only use html to link. That is why i purchaed front page. Also I have an entire website to fix up so i can use frontpage.All old pages revert to double line spacing. In the help menu they say to go down to design and into paragrah. I have done that and shows lines as single. i have a prexisting wensite with about 30 pages and I cant even edit these. i find it incedible that there is not a default setting. People have talked about temporary measures but no permant solution. I just cannot get on with my website and it has been over two weeks.     - layer problem I made a correction to a page in an exisiting web site and added a layer to it. Inside the layer, I placed a series of pictures in a table. Now the layer and pictures appear on all pages in the Web site. I've tried to delete the layer from the individual pages and save them.     - Using CSS I am just starting to look into CSS. I have used a css sheet to add a fixed background image to the related .HTL using background fixed, no-repeat etc. I now want to add another graphic on top of the existing background image and locate it fixed at the bottom right corner. I thought that I could simply call a second background image and locate it in the bottom LH corner but it doesn't work - I simply get either the full screen background image OR the small logo image in the bottom corner depending on the order in the CSS. I want these two images to feature on all pages of the site and I thought that I could do it with CSS.     - Shadow for a thumbnail... Probably the easiest question of the day. I want my thumbnails to appear like they cast a slight shadow on the page. The help tool tells me that I should only have to select the image, and then the Shadow button on the drawing toolbar. I have tried this several times but everytime I select anything, not just the image, the Shadow button the Drawing toolbar remains greyed out. BTW, I'm using Frontpage 2003. Any ideas?     - Database table add record form w/DD - not working I'm trying to add a new record an Access DB table with one of the fields containing a 'link' vale to a record in another table. I'm doing a custom query because it appears that the UI can't do what I need (I need to do some JOINS). For the life of me, I can't get the syntax right in the custom query window. Can someone point me to some documentation or give me some hints on the correct syntax for this window?     - Some items remain unmatched after publishing I just made a few changes in the local copy of my website and published it using FP 2003. Everything seem to have gone OK and the changes were made. However, now when I compare the two sites with FP, some of the items are still marked as unmatched. Should I worry about that?     - Accessing a SQL Server View in an Data View I have created a data view in the past which returned information from a specific SQL Server table. I'd like to create a data view that returns information from a specific SQL View. When I go to create a data view and I look at the list of Tables, views or stored procedures, I only see stored procedures and tables. All of the items are listed as type "table or view". But I only see tables there. I originally thought I had a permissions issue, so I tried it as sa and that didn't change anything either. Is there something on my SQL Server that I need to change?     - navigation bars from frames page Someone was kind enough to answer my question, but the suggested work-around did not work. I have a page with three frames, including a banner target page. I'm trying to put a navigation bar on this banner page, but was told that FrontPage will not allow it. The responder suggested entering the words I want to use, inserting a hyperlink to them, and that would solve the problem as a work-around. I tried this, and the same thing happens. The page I'm hyperlinking to opens in one of the three frames which are on the page which I originally set up. But, I can't get back to the home page, I'm trying to open as a full page display. I placed a navigation bar in the top frame which was hyperliinked to the home page of the web. successful using Shared Borders
However now, having been asked to help with our church's website, I'm having
a problem I can't figure out.

I have a navbar on the right side (vertical) and a footer of links at the
bottom of each page, which also includes copyright info, etc.

On every page but one - everything in the footer is fine - - however, on my
index page (where I've initiated all changes for the footer), it's doubled -
one on top of the other. It looks fine in Design view, as well as Preview
mode - but on the site - it's doubled.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can fix it?

I found the problem - for some reason, there were two closing body tags on
that page (I inherited this site)
Once I deleted it - everything worked ok
