    - Importing Websites In Front Page I'm new to Front Page and web design therefore I'm trying to use web templates that I purcahsed from a online site (Template Monsters) to build websites. I'm very fimilar with photoshop and several other graphic program but not with a web design tool like Front Page. I'm trying to import a full website into Front Page but have been unable to do so. When I try to follow the steps for Importing a website from a local drive I can not see that Html files in the folder. According to the instructions I'm suppose to see the html files and be able to import them one at a time. Could you please tell me where I'm going worng? As I understand it, I am suppose to be able to import the entire site (folder) including the Html files and be able to edit (replace) both text and images. Is this correct?     - Open a html-file in a layer + overflow Helo Is it possible to click a button in a menu in one layer, and open a existing html-file in another layer (main) ?     - setting index.asp as home page Hi: I found out a strange thing happened recently for web site created by FP 2003, and I don't recall that happened before. I can't rename the default home page from Default.htm to Index.htm. Every time I tried to set the page to the default home page, FP 2003 will automatically change the name to default.htm. If I retain the name, it then will give an directory content not listed error message. I am not sure if this is the case before. The reason for me to use index rather than the default is our public web site hosted by ISP with IIS 6.0 use index.asp as the home page, and I wish to retain the same naming for this site is to be interacted with that production site.     - I have Frontpage on my computer I have frontpage version 3.0 on my computer but cannot start it. I double click on the folder and I don't seem to have an executable file to open. I have taken my first stab at a website and i have scanned in some images to the site and have some hyperlinks to the images, but the images come up at a different size other than the scanned size, and they look pixelized.     - How do I pass variables from one web page to another? My main page has several thumbnails linked to larger pictures (JPG files). Each large picture opens in a new browser window with a frame and color scheme which is the same for all pictures.     - Database Results Wizard Error I have searched this group, and I've seen other posts on this issue, but none seem to be helping me. When I try to open a page that contains "results" I get the following error: Database Results Wizard Error The database connection named 'tsnconnect' is undefined. This problem can occur if: * the connection has been removed from the web * the file 'global.asa' is missing or contains errors * the root folder does not have Scripting permissions enabled * the web is not marked as an Application Root My Hosting Co has said that it is probably a script issue.     - Update Page I just read through an example in a book, Microsoft Frontpage 2000 Bible. Chapter 21 deals with working with a database, looking up record with the database results wizard and then editing a record. In my project there are some links to some eml files. When I publish the project and I go to the related Internet address to view my page, the page seems to work well, but when I click on one of my links, I expect the computer to start downloading that eml file, but it only shows me the text of eml file using Internet Explorer.     - Problem with https converting http pages to https My web address begins with http://. However, I do have SSL pages with addresses that begin with https://. Here's the problem. If someone goes to the secure page and then clicks a link out of the secure page, it adds the 's' to http. As such, each page the visitor visits after leaving the https page pops up with the msg "some of the items on this page are unsecure, do you want to view the unsecure items". I want to add a sub web in Frontpage 2002 and the help tells me to use the
Server option on the tools menu. Unfortunately every view combination I have
tried before selecting the menu results in the option being unavailable. What
am I doing wrong?

The Server menu Item is only available in Server based webs, and only if the
host allows it.

You do not need the Server menu to set up a sub web unless you are also
changing permissions, and that *must* be done on the remote server -
permissions cannot be published. Simply create a new folder in the web,
right click it and choose "Convert to Web".
