    - FP wipes out pages After editing pages created in earlier versions (I'm now using 2002 under XP Pro) they disappear! All I get next time I open FP is a blank page with 2 or more "Last modified" lines. And what I see on the Normal tab isn't there at all on the HTML tab. What's going on here?     - Previews I finish a web with text packaged inside borders measuring approximately 3 square inches. I Select File > Preview In Browser. I select Netscape Navigator - 800x600 Results - None of the borders I built around text appears and the text expands right across the page. I go back to preview and select Internet Explorer - 800x600 Results - Text and borders are where they should be, but an image I moved under the "Position Absolutely" tool is in a completely different location. Also the link bar I built is way off. My Question. Are these previews accurate. Will people viewing this website with Netscape not see the borders around Text? The screen is full in front page, yet on the server, it only occupies 70-80% of a full screen.     - Discussion Carriage Return I had a problem in the discussion forum with no carriage returns. I implemented the MS fix (328495)which was replacing BR with PRE in the code.     - Forms Help Please I have created a customized confirmation form for ordering at my secured site. 1. The problem is that when the submit button is pressed, a new page opens. I want it to open in the same page. When it opens, all links do not work. There is a 443 added to the domain name. Can any one help? 2. My theme also disappears at the confirmation form.     - Server Application Error I am running IIS on my local XP box. I created an asp page with the database wizard, but each time I try to run it from a browser I get the following error: "Server Application Error The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. I am not familiar with this, and was wondering if there is a way to extract the site (or at least key pages from the design) and convert them simply to pages instead of a published web.     - Secured Web - email form I've imported a web site into FrontPage and everything is working except for one thing. There is an order form on this site that when the customer submits the order form along with their credit card information, somehow the email that shows up to the merchant inbox has the credit card info xxx'd out. The merchant then accesses another url (secured site) where she types in the order number on the original email and presses "Go" and the completed order form shows up WITH the credit card information. She then goes through the regular merchant account process via another system with her bank. I'm trying to find out what this process is and if anyone knows how to set it up.     - FrontPage messing up code I have a customer that has a page with a form that uses FrontPage's save form to database function. He wanted me to add code so that if a certain field contained a certain value then an email would be sent. The problem I'm having is with FrontPage messing up the code. I have my code contained within separate scrpting blocks placed before the FrontPage generated scripting blocks. The problem is that FrontPage keep putting the FrontPage generated block before my code and that will not let my code run since the FrontPage code contains a redirect. I tried uploading the file via FTP but after a while the code gets rearranged back with the FrontPage code first and mine second. This happens even if you do not open that file in FrontPage. I assume it is the FP server extensions that is moving the code. Anyone have any ides?     - FrontPage 2002 CHANGING THE CODE! When I copy code of a form and paste it into FrontPage. It will rewrite and add in a </form> on the very next line after the opening form tag. This, of course, makes the form useless, much like FrontPage. I thought FP2000+ was not supposed to rewrite code. Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks!     - Forms page help.. Having the weirdest problem on a new web site we have set up with frontpage - can't figure out why it is doing it. The page appears to fo fine We have a new web site set up. The forms to email was not working and I had another coder look into it. His reply was to change the following from: method="POST" action="bodyshop.asp" to action = sendemail.asp. I changed it with a text editor. I upload it to the web with FTP It works when this gets entered. But everytime I open Frontpage and access the site - it changes it back. I can't figure it out.     - Using Sharepoint Team Services At work I use Sharepoint to display shreadsheets of data. At home I use Frontpage 2002 SharPoint Team Services and I cannot get the Excell table frame. Why is that? The Excell component at work allows me to display a table in an Excell spreadsheet style, but at home I tell it to import a spreadsheet and it shows an ugly table that does not even allow me to show lines. Also, at work, I can add pictures, database files, Excell spreadsheets, and other types of documents to the document library, but at home I can only add Word documents... why is that?     - FP Search component Hi, I am using FrontPage 2002 and publish the web on the Server 2003 Machine. Though it looks likes FrontPage extensions are installed on the sever, a client gets an error message when try to run a search using FrontPage Search component: 'Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "http://.../search.htm"' Also, in the front page editor when I go to properties of the "search.htm" page that contains a search component, I see an error message Page "search.htm" contains an unknown FrontPage component: "Search".     - Pass variable sql data to second asp page with DRW I have read many of the posts and have yet to find a method to accomplish my task. I have a SQL database that has a list of items. I am listing those items on one asp page. What I want to do is click on a hyperlink highlighting one of those items that will open a second asp page that will contain the details of this particular item.     - Publishing Not Working - Frontpage 2002 SP2 I created several website using Frontpage and publishing and doing my updates with Frontpage. All of a sudden I can't publish with Frontpage to one Website host. I have contacted them and according to them everything is fine, they have the Frontpage Extensions installed and they tell me to use an FTP program. I can publish using a third party FTP program but this is a pain and I lose some features, like counters. When I try to use Frontpage to publish, I enter the address, http://www.bronzerooster.com and then the required name and password. There is some communication and the list of files is shown but when I click PUBLISH, Frontpage produces the following message: An error occurred accessing your Frontpage web files.     - Avoiding the "Enter Network Password" dialog box Hi, I have a web page that contains information that only certain people have access to. The security is set by an ACL. When a user that is NOT authorized to view the contents clicks a link, they get a Enter Network Password dialog box. When they click cancel, they then get the 401.3 error message. How can I stop the Enter Network Password dialog box from popping up. I want the user to just get the 401.3 error message when the click on the link.     - FP2002 Drawing tools I am using FP 2002 with IIS 5 & IE 6. I inserted a text box and an arrow using the drawing tools. I can view them fine on my computer after I save the webpage to my web. But when I go to another workstation I can only see the text I typed into the text box. I cannot see the box itself or the arrow. Everyone else here uses IE 6 also. What is up with that? My web server changed the http address after the first
month of service and I don't know how to change it on
FP98. Right now I can't edit my site because it's not
pointed to the new address, HELP!
