 - FrontPage messing up code I have a customer that has a page with a form that uses FrontPage's save form to database function. He wanted me to add code so that if a certain field contained a certain value then an email would be sent. The problem I'm having is with FrontPage messing up the code. I have my code contained within separate scrpting blocks placed before the FrontPage generated scripting blocks. The problem is that FrontPage keep putting the FrontPage generated block before my code and that will not let my code run since the FrontPage code contains a redirect. I tried uploading the file via FTP but after a while the code gets rearranged back with the FrontPage code first and mine second. This happens even if you do not open that file in FrontPage. I assume it is the FP server extensions that is moving the code. Anyone have any ides?  - FrontPage 2002 CHANGING THE CODE! When I copy code of a form and paste it into FrontPage. It will rewrite and add in a </form> on the very next line after the opening form tag. This, of course, makes the form useless, much like FrontPage. I thought FP2000+ was not supposed to rewrite code. Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks! Tag: Secured Web - email form Tag: 25724

 - Forms page help.. Having the weirdest problem on a new web site we have set up with frontpage - can't figure out why it is doing it. The page appears to fo fine We have a new web site set up. The forms to email was not working and I had another coder look into it. His reply was to change the following from: method="POST" action="bodyshop.asp" to action = sendemail.asp. I changed it with a text editor. I upload it to the web with FTP It works when this gets entered. But everytime I open Frontpage and access the site - it changes it back. I can't figure it out.  - Using Sharepoint Team Services At work I use Sharepoint to display shreadsheets of data. At home I use Frontpage 2002 SharPoint Team Services and I cannot get the Excell table frame. Why is that? The Excell component at work allows me to display a table in an Excell spreadsheet style, but at home I tell it to import a spreadsheet and it shows an ugly table that does not even allow me to show lines. Also, at work, I can add pictures, database files, Excell spreadsheets, and other types of documents to the document library, but at home I can only add Word documents... why is that?  - Display Query Results Problem I have created an active server page using frontpage. it will not display the results of a database query and i get the following message: The Database Results component on this page is unable to display database content.  - "can't build data connection" error Hi I'm trying to publish my website using FrontPage but am getting the following error: 425 Can't build data connection. Connection timed out. Any suggestions on what could be going on? I have no problems connecting to the ftp server using for instance WS_FTP, but as far as I understand I need to use the publishing feature in FrontPage to make sure the FrontPage Web works properly once published.  - FP Search component Hi, I am using FrontPage 2002 and publish the web on the Server 2003 Machine. Though it looks likes FrontPage extensions are installed on the sever, a client gets an error message when try to run a search using FrontPage Search component: 'Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "http://.../search.htm"' Also, in the front page editor when I go to properties of the "search.htm" page that contains a search component, I see an error message Page "search.htm" contains an unknown FrontPage component: "Search".  - Frontapage Forms I'm using FP2002, I'm making a form to send data to a text file, but I don't want the text file to keep saving new data with previously submitted data. Anything submitted previously will be erased or replaced by the new data the user submitted. Sort of like an update text. Is this possible in FP? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  - Problem w/ TOC Links in a Frame Page When previewing my frameset page (index.htm) in a browser, when I click a link in my table-of-contents page the new page displays in the TOC frame and not in the main content frame.  - How can I download from a users PC How can I download an image from a users desktop PC into a FP file? I have seen this done - but can't figure out how. On the site which used this - the user was given the option to click a 'browse' button which opened up a local Windows directory, the user would then click on the file name and the image would be stored in FP.  - protecting a folder in Frontpage? I need to "Protect" the contents of a folder of a FrontPage web (so that I can allow pass-word based software downloads), and am not sure how to do this. I tried the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- us;301954&Product=fp2002#10 but for "Configure Unique Permissions for the Subweb by Using FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft", the "Server" option is always grayed out in my Root and Sub webs.  - hyperlinks don't work in preview mode Why can't I get my hyperlinks to work in preview mode? I've tried "recalculate hyperlinks". I've tried "detect and repair".  - Pass variable sql data to second asp page with DRW I have read many of the posts and have yet to find a method to accomplish my task. I have a SQL database that has a list of items. I am listing those items on one asp page. What I want to do is click on a hyperlink highlighting one of those items that will open a second asp page that will contain the details of this particular item. I need to extract the data in the corresponding fields with the corresponding hyperlink in order to identify what to open on the second page. I have tried including a vairiable field in the hyperlink, but the field is not extracting the data from the database.  - Publishing Not Working - Frontpage 2002 SP2 I created several website using Frontpage and publishing and doing my updates with Frontpage. All of a sudden I can't publish with Frontpage to one Website host. I have contacted them and according to them everything is fine, they have the Frontpage Extensions installed and they tell me to use an FTP program. I can publish using a third party FTP program but this is a pain and I lose some features, like counters. When I try to use Frontpage to publish, I enter the address, http://www.bronzerooster.com and then the required name and password. There is some communication and the list of files is shown but when I click PUBLISH, Frontpage produces the following message: An error occurred accessing your Frontpage web files. Authors - If authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters - please see the server's system log for more details.  - Avoiding the "Enter Network Password" dialog box Hi, I have a web page that contains information that only certain people have access to. The security is set by an ACL. When a user that is NOT authorized to view the contents clicks a link, they get a Enter Network Password dialog box. When they click cancel, they then get the 401.3 error message.  - FP2002 Drawing tools I am using FP 2002 with IIS 5 & IE 6. I inserted a text box and an arrow using the drawing tools. I can view them fine on my computer after I save the webpage to my web. But when I go to another workstation I can only see the text I typed into the text box. I cannot see the box itself or the arrow. Everyone else here uses IE 6 also. What is up with that?  - directory list embeded in web pages I'm trying to set up a web page that has code like that I've found on the net in the first example at: http://www.learnasp.com/learn/fileobjects2.asp If it worked, I could have text, icons, whatever and then a list of files (with links) in a particular directory. Then some more text icons, etc and files in another directory. I swear this same code worked for me a few weeks ago but now I can't get it to work. Can anybody else get this to work?  - Disabling Right Click and faster loading Hi I have 2 questions, the first is, I have put in a script which disables all right clicking and saving pictures and text, but how do I disable the mouse over (XP) which enables a viewer to then save the pictures? The second question is, my website contains a large amount of pictures (which I have compressed etc.) and java applets - is there anything I can do to make it load quicker?
