    - No FTP Controls I am a little, okay a lot, upset about this and it really burns my butt so please excuse me while I rant a little bit. Maybe you can help me? I hope so. I have looked everywhere, tried everything, and there are no FTP controls that I can use to have many accounts under one FTP setting. Don't tell me to go to the file menu, select Open, go down to the Modify or Change FTP settings because that DOES NOT WORK. If it does, I have not figured out how to get it to work so I can switch from one to the other without shutting down first. Every single website I host is on the same server and therefore has the same IP address and the same FTP settings. the thing different with each one is their user name and password of course. This Frontpage 2003 DOES NOT allow for me to log out of one and into another. I have to completely shut down Frontpage 2003 and start it back up again before it will allow for me to enter a different user name and different password for the same FTP setting. The designers of Frontpage 2003 obviously did not intend it to be used by webmasters who actually are working on more than one website.     - drop-down menu fp 2000 I am using FrontPage 2000 and I am trying a drop-down menu containing a list of items and each is attached to a hyperlink. I made the drop-down menu with a list of things in there but I can't figure out how to make it so that when I choose an item from the menu and press the "submit" button beside it, I'd be able to be linked to somewhere on the web.     - Drop Down - Shopping Cart I am developing an e-commerce site. I have created two drop downs. The first contains the sizes of the shirts, the second drop down specifies adult or youth.     - upload form hello, I am having an aweful time with an upload form I keep getting the FP error. I created it like this Insert>form>File upload Then I was prompted for destination folder I selected _private I then r-clicked and allowed anon. upload to this directory and then gave it a whirl.     - Graphics question. Please help Hi, I am trying to put pictures on a website I created using frontpage. I got "Insert" then "picture" then "from file" and I find the picture on my hardrive to select it. It shows up fine on the normal view and preview view...but then when I save it to the website, there is just a blank box with an X in the upper left hand corner rather than the picture.     - Need help quick! Cannot upload to web server After a hard drive crash I installed Office 2000 on a new computer. I upgraded to FP2003. I am able to import from our present web site, but I cannot upload. When I attempt to upload, FP automatically adds our web site to the user name. How can I correct this? No matter what I do I cannot clear this information. Even typing over it does not work as FP adds our web site address to the user name. Does Front Page have to be on the C: drive?     - Help with FP 2003 Is there any way to default the designer so that when I press return at the end of a line, it will single space <br> instead of double space <p>?     - Conditional data display I'm using ASP to display data from my Access DB and I'm stumped about how to do the following: I have two tables. One lists nursery stock and the other lists locations where each stock item can be found. I think I understand how to use the Count operator to present a column which shows how many locations exist for each stock item but what I really want to do is to present a column that says "Out of stock" if there are no locations and shows how many locations there are if there are one or more.     - Shared borders After changing the left shared border, all of the main information on my pages was pushed to the bottom instead of showing alongside the border. All I did was change to a small font in the border buttons. Any idea how I can rectify this? I have currently removed the border while I work on it but all of my navigation buttons are now gone until I can fix it. This is a commercial site so I need those buttons asap.     - Discussion Webs I've tried reading through all the posts before asking this, but didn't find an answer, so I'll try asking. I made a discussion web on FP2000, and worked for a few days, but the TOC does not seem to update, and it seems from time to time the bullets in the welcome screen get right aligned for some strange reason. I can usually fix that by changing the alignment, but it's odd that it does that. The most annoying thing is though that I lose the messages. They are still on the server, but the TOC will not update. The server I use has the 2002 extentions installed, but confused on how to correct this.     - Pop-up Menu in FP 2002 I am re-designing our website (non profit group) and have a pop-up menu I created with FWorks. I then exported the pop-up menu to FrontPage 2002. I would like to have the pop-up menu under a graphic to be the header for all the pages in the website. I would like to have each page linked from the pop-up menu to open under the pop-up menu.     - Image & Photo Gallery Problems Help!!! I am using Front Page 2003, and I have a 2 part question about inserting images. 1) When I insert an image (.jpg) in the design view Iall I see is a red x. But when I preview in a browser or publish to the web it looks fine. Why does it do this? I obviously would like to see the image in design view. 2) I also am using photo galleries. When I create a photo gallery it shows boxes with little red X's in them, but when you click the thumbnail the big pictures open as normal.     - Creating searchss with Wildcards Hi I have a website created using Microsoft FrontPage XP, I use a database results table to fetch reports from a Microsoft access database. http://www.bonelogger.co.uk basically search for locomotive number 58050 and you are presented with a list of sightings of that particular loco, with the location box if you want to search you type in the location name I.E. Acton Stn, However there are several variations on Acton, Acton Stn, Acton TMD, Acton Mainline, Acton Yard The users have requested that they would like to be able to do a wildcard search something along the lines of typing "Acton*" and getting results for all the Acton locations. I cannot seem to find an option to allow this! do I have to build a custom query? if so how do I go about this and getting a search area....     - Files listed in order of last use Hello: For some reason, when I open up My Webs in Front Page, the list of folders now appear in order of last used instead of alphabetical. Same thing applies when I open a folder, the files are listed in order of last used and not alphabetical.     - IIS 5.1 (XP Pro) Will not run DBR wizard using FP 2002 I've used the DBR wizard to pull information from a table plenty of times on win2k and win2003 servers. Never had any issues. Today a customer wanted to run a web site off their box using WinXP pro. Told them it can be done no problem. However, when trying to pull information from a database using the DBR wizard, the DBR table displays a message I've never seen before: "This is the start of the Database Results region. The page must be fetched from a web server with a web browser to display correctly; the current web is stored on your local disk or network" And of course, when the page is diplayed it states the generic Database error. Contact your System Admin. -IIS 5.1 is running on WinXP Pro -Running 2002 extensions (did not install 2000, d/l the 2002) -All patches have been run. -No problems viewing any .htm / .html pages -No problems running Sharepoint admin -Using NTFS -No problems with permissions When I check Tools / Web Settings / Database tab, the database connection is verified. When I check Tools / Web Settings / General tab, I noticed another strange message I've never seen before regarding the server status: "No server currently in use" Yet IIS 5.1 is running just fine....     - table column widths hi I actually have frontpage98. After inserting a table I want 3 columns of various sizes. The problem is when you add text to the cells the columns will resize instead word wrapping. A reply I got before says columns will resize with long words for eg. setting column width to any value like 30% doesnt fix them to that size as that is only the minimum.     - subweb and session variables I have a subweb that uses session variables created on the root web. Up until this morning, everything worked fine. Since this morning, the session varibles created on the root web are no longer set in the subweb. So what happened this morning, before I noticed anything broken, I created a database connection to a SQL database using the Frontpage database component.     - Frontpage Search Component Hi, I cannot seem to get my Search of my website to find the right index file. I publish my website from a working area, but understand I need to work directly on the webpage on the server to see the correct help dialog boxes. (I am using FrontPage as my web editor.) The website is on the D:\ Drive of the server and it is storing the index file(s) on the c:\ drive. This server has several websites with different domains on the computer. Each has its own indexing working. And the indexing seems to be working In Frontpage when I get to the Search Form Properties and the Search Results table, I do not know what to selectin "Scope of the Search Results" If I select directory and browse, I cannot see anything but what is in the directory of the website, thus not where the index is placing the information. If I select the Entire Web Site and save the webpage. When I try a search I get an error that says the FrontPage Runtime Error and something about the extensions are not working which is what I can get if I do not publish the page with server extensions in. The same happens when I select "This Web" What am I doing wrong? This use to work so well in older versions of Frontpage.     - FrontPage 2003 Search Component Hello, I am having a problem with the FP2003 Search Component. For some reason the search component is returning pages that have been deleted from my web. As an example, please go to http://www.southporttimes.com/search.html and do a search for "Sports." You will see that the first result is "Southport Area Sports & Activities."     - Dynamic Drop Downs - What do I need & How do I do it? Ahh! I have a whole bunch of PDF files (based on AutoCAD drawings) I need to share. I have the PDFs organized into Buildings->Floors->Description. Ideally, what I'd like is for a user to select a Building Number from a Drop Down Box... then automagically a new Drop Down Box appears for the various Floor options of the "Selected Building".... Once the floor is selected on that building... yet another box dynamically appears giving the user the last set of options for that floor: electrical, plumbing, architectural...etc. Once the final option is selected the pdf file (drawing) will begin to load in a frame.     - Keep things together on printed page? Hi, I am using FP2000. I have created a web page that is kind of long. It has several "sections" that I have separated with horizontal lines. I was wondering if there is a way I can have any control over how this web page will print. Basically, I'm looking for a "Keep together" type option like in MS Word, or at least a way that I can force each "section" to start at the top of a new page. I had to download my web from the server using WS_FTP but now the
folders all a have a read only attribute attached although the files
are ok. dreamweaver will read this web but front page just times out.
What is going on?

You need to remove the read only attributes for every file in your web.
