I want to publish just a page because it has a FrontPage form in it that I
want to use. I do not want to set up all the site in a FP site as that just
messes things up. So my questions again is, how can I just publish the one
page? It is my understanding that in order to get a FP form to work is that
you have to publish it rather than just upload it via FTP. Thanks for any
assistance you can offer.

Not possible
Any FP site must be managed in FP as a Site
- you can't just publish part of a site using FP

The web site must have FrontPage extensions installed and working.
Note that using FTP will corrupt the extensions, if you have used FTP
then the extensions will probably have to be repaired or re-installed.
Open the local web in FrontPage, right click on the file to be
published, and choose Publish Selected Files. (FP2002 and later only).

Hi,

You meant that if we have a site installed with FP extensions, and it will
be corrupted if we use FTP clients to upload and download files, regardless
of it's image files or HTML, ASP pages?

Many thanks.

That is always a possibility. If you use FTP and NEVER upload
folders, never create/delete folders, never even think about peeking
inside a folder with a name starting _vti, then you *might* not
corrupt the extensions. However, any pages FTPed with FrontPage
components will not work correctly.

For media files, create a subweb and place the files in there. You
can use FTP safely within the subweb without endangering extensions in
any other subwebs or the root web, provided you do not touch the _vti
folders.
