    - Cell Borders Show in Netscape Hi, I have not posted a question here before. Just finished my first website for my girlfriend. I think it looks pretty good. However, for some strange reason, the cell borders show in Netscape. They don't in Internet explorer. Anyone have any idea why this happens and how I can get rid of them?     - Resizing Frontpage components (Webbots) Here is the dilemna.. I have a table, three columns wide; 157px, 577px, and 10px in size. I want to include a search box in the 157 column and have the results display on a new page, which would in turn be in the 577 column. (The left column is the menu system) Also, the table of Contents component appears to be set to 600px in width, and I need to change it to 577px. Is there any way to modify the components to do what we want, or are we stuck with finding aftermarket products to do what is already built into frontpage?     - buttons hoping some one can help at the moment i am having a problem. i am using FP2000 and IE6 When i add a button into my web page and view it on IE6 it works fine. But if i burn the information onto a disk the buttons wont work when viewed again in IE6, even if i take the information back off the CD onto my C drive they still wont work, When i was using IE5 i never had this problem is there a conflict between FP2000 and IE6 in anyway?     - FTP The site is going well now! Basic but doing it's job I've got it loaded on Tripod - great for free, but the ads are a bit intrusive I have webspace with Freeuk, but they don't support FrontPage I've checked the help file in FP, it says I can publish via FTP, but when I try it says Freeuk does not support FrontPage How can I load my FP page onto FreeUK?     - Shared Borders and Inline Frames Hello, We are have purchased a very cool .asp Ad Banner managment application. To rotate banners dynamically the use of inline frames is part of the implementation. However, we use Shared Borders on the top and left sides of our Web pages. This has served us very well. The use of inline frames inside Shared Borders is something Microsoft has not worked out. Is there an alternative solution within Shared Borders that will overcome this?     - CDONTS I have a web and database set up on our SQL server and it's working fine. However, I'd like to add a new page that sends form data to the database and to e-mail at the same time. I'm using CDONTS in trying to accompish this. The problem is I'm getting this error when submitting the form: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046' Permission denied /Production1.asp, line 108 The powers that be that control the SQL server say that this is due to no e-mail being set up on that server. They don't want to set it up either it sounds like because of security concerns. They suggested that I use an external server such as the company SMTP server for the e-mail part. Of course this presents a real challenge to me because how do I route e-mail to an external server and submit to the database at the same time? Is that even possible?     - FrontPage 2000 and Forms Sorry to post yet another question on forms and FP. I've read some of the posts but don't seem to get the answer. I've created an intranet web using FP 2000 and published it to the office server. The server has Office Server Extension installed (as recommended by the Microsoft Press book on the Power of Intranets). The Hit Counter works but the form does not. I've also tried to publish (File/Publish) the same web to the machine that I used to create it but gave it a different web name. The form on this second web works. I've read the FAQs on forms and had 1)reinstalled the server extension, 2) check that the results collection pages are not diskbased. Results are to be stored in the private folder as a txt file and a html file. I'm not even asking it to be sent by email. Also for some reasons, the Page banner image and some of the theme buttons do not appear. So I've manually drag and drop the appropriate files into the server web. My hosting company says they have Front Page Extensions installed but when I try to publish my web site using FTP I then get a dialog box message Stating::: The following pages in your website contain Dynamic Front Page components such as a Front Page Form Handler- They will not work because the server you are publishing to does not have the Front Page Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft installed!!! 2.I have a graphic picture in GIF format on my website page, but I cannot see this picture after publishing it . The Hyperlink does not work also. However, when I checked my website on my computer using the preview browser I could see the picture and hyperlink was working. How can I fix this problem ??     - Page transitions have stopped working online - HELP! I have had a website up for over a year...recently I noticed that the page transitons (I'm using a 3 second blend entering each page) have stopped working on some but not all pages.     - Hover Buttons Problem When I bring my pages up in FP to edit, the Hover Buttons and photos are fine, but when I observe from the net they are there, but just with an x in them.     - best way to manage a list on a webpage I have a small project I'm working on for a hobby (non-work-related). I play basketball in the mornings at two locations, and occasionally the schedule changes, the gym is closed, etc. Right now there is a b-ball e-mail list that someone fires off a message to informing all of us that the gym is closed tomorrow, but open the next day, and who can come? Then there are 15 responses (since everyone hits the good ol' "reply to all" button) with their answer/comment. As you can imagine, this can easily get out of hand, and your e-mail box fills up with all sorts of comments. However, it is important to know who will be there because no one wants to show up at 5:45 a.m. just to find out that there aren't enough people to play. So I thought a good way to handle it would be with a web site. The web site would show the two locations, then you could click on one location to see who is planning on being there that particular day. (Monday - Saturday) Then also you could login with a name and password, and update the list by typing in your name, hitting the "add" button, or selecting a name in the list, and hitting the "delete" button. Then each day people could see if there are enough people to play. I'm not saying that people will constantly visit it and update, but certain people, who play b-ball each day, will just leave their name up there permanently. A few others will modify their name more often. Well, I haven't figured out a good way to do this in Frontpage, mostly because I'm not a programmer, never read the book, etc. Does anyone know if there is some shareware, free web "plugins", free coding site, etc. that will have code to do the above?     - Drop down Menus I am putting together a web site and to make it more user friendly we are trying to add a drop down menu to our options. I am not sure what it is called and I am assuming it is in javascript. We are currently using the Frontpage 2000 program. We are considering upgrading to 2003 because of the java script options on the program without having to write code. Is this option for drop down menu's available on this 2003 program?     - Hyperlink Problems This problem is giving me an Excedrin headache. My homepage, http://flight5481flight5481.com, contains a navigation bar on the left, which is working, and several hyperlinks which open the desired page, but in a new window. I can't figure out why they are opening in a new window. The HTML code for the hyperlink is: <a href="loose_bolt.htm" target="banner">Loose Bolt, Caused Crash - Dayton Daily News</a> The screwy part of this HTML is target= "banner". FrontPage insists on adding the target parameter. If I delete the parameter, save the page and reopen it FP, in its infinite wisdom, has reinserted target="banner" This behavior is identical on all the hyperlinks on the website. When I check the hyperlink properties in the Edit Hyperlink window, the Target Frame button opens the Target Frame window. The Target Setting textbox contains "banner." I clear the Target Setting textbox, close the Target Frame and Edit Hyperlink windows and find that the target="banner" parameter has been removed from the HTML code. However, saving the page, closing and reopening it causes the dreaded target= "banner" parameter to reappear. I do not know if the fact that the hyperlink opens the page in a new window is, or is not, related to the target parameter. I am upgrading my website that was created with FrontPage
2002. I followed MS knowledge base article 307236 on "How
to Create a Web Page that Contains a PDF File". It seemed
to work well, but, in preview mode and in the web browser,
all I get is a small icon in the upper left had corner
containing red, green, and blue geometric shapes.

The PDF file was orginally created with Corel Graphics
Suite 11 - DRAW application and converted using the
available conversion. What is the problem and how do I
fix it?

Is it a valid pdf and do you have a pdf reader installed
PS you can not insert it in a page , you can only provide a link to it
