Pictures dont display in IE, but do in Firefox?

Hello Group

I hope somebody can help me.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/carljarvis/j/english/index.htm

If you would be so kind as to look at the above sample site. Click the link
to career and a small amount of text and a pciture should be there.

The above is true in Firefox (picture and text visable)

Not in IE (no picture visable)

In IE the picture reference looks invalid (http:///images/vvruc.jpg) whereas
the same page in Firefox has
(http://homepage.ntlworld.com/carljarvis/j/images/vvruc1.jpg) - I dont
understand what I am doing wrong?

Any help / advice appreciated.

Remove the <base href="" target="mainframe">, and replace it with
<base target="mainframe">

and see if that makes a difference.
