 - can't publish anymore - FrontPage 2000 version 4 Hi there! I edit and re-publish my site every month. I never had any problem until today. When publishing, I get the following message: This FTP server doesn't support folder names that contain spaces. Rename the source web's folder corresponding to "microsoft frontpage" and any other folders that have spaces in their names and try again... I don't understand...which spaces?  - eliminating top margin on Netscape When I preview my page in Netscape, it always shows a top margin of about 15 pixels. This does not show up when I preview in IE with page option set to zero top margin. Does anyone know how to get rid of this top margin in Netscape? Thanks.  - Hit counter Hello: I have mde my first web site with front page. after publishing it everything works fine except... the hit counter. the counter reads 1 all the time. it never advances and i have tried from logging on from several different ip addresses but it still never advances. the address to my space is an http address but the adress i was given to publish my page to is and ftp address. My ISP has a section where i needed to activate front page extensions and i have done that. they tell me it should work fine and the problem is on my end. can anyone shed some light on my problem?  - Link bar icon When a user drags the web page address to their browsers links bar, it displays the title of the page and the Explorer icon.  - Hosing Server Hello, The company which hosts my website claims that my active server pages are hosing his server. I have had these pages for 4 years pretty much as they were written. I didn't write them but added criteria and changed the output format, but a while ago. I have had them on several servers and was never told of a problem This recenlt company has never reported a problem, but now claims they had to quarantine my site to protect the other site on the server. I have been having trouble that I know if since they upgraded from Win2000 to Win2003. There is no logic to the claim that my pages are the problem. It seems the problem must be with Win2003 or the configuration. Here is page that is run most frequently. It is run from a form on another ASP.  - Database Locking up Hello, I have a Access Db on a website. I have a procedure of FTP'ing a database (clientDB.mdb) to the site then running an active server page to transfer the data to the main database (Truckloads.mdb). After the transfer I close the ftp program (wsFTP Pro v8.01). Next I run the ASP. A couple weeks ago the company which hosts my site, upgraded from Win2000 to Win2003. Immediately there were problems. The active server pages stopped working intermittantly. I discovered that there was an .ldb file ( Truckloads.ldb) in the Database directory which was causing the problem. The company said that they tracked the problem to coincide with the time I ran the ftp program and my asp. Since I transferred clientDB.ldb, I don't get the connection. Nothing changed on my website, but the server software changed, so logically, it would be something in Win2003 or the configuration that is the problem. Does that seem feasible? The company also claimed that my Active server pages were hosing his server. I don't know which pages, but here is the page I run to do the transfer. Is ther something in that which could cause memory problems? I only run it a half dozen times per day. I'll post other code in another thread.  - Knotty problem ? Hello, Wonder whether you could help with this. I have .asp pages in FrontPage linked to an Access database. In the form reflecting the database contents, I have a field called Course Code, for example the value 100. I define a hyperlink on this field towards a Subscription Form that contains a "submit form", i.e. creates a new record in the database. The idea is that when the user clicks on Course Code of the original form, he is redirected to the Inscription Form which automatically displays - in the Course Code field - the course code, in this example : 100. This to avoid that the user will have to retype the Course Code in the Inscription Form. Can this be done without complex programming ? Thanks a lot for your help.  - Why is the navigation link bar button blank in FP 2003 for the current page I am viewing? Are there a lot of problems with FrontPage 2003 navigation link bar? Often some buttons don't have images or the home page button is missing... Currently, I publish my website like this: Safest procedure that I know (am new though). 1. Save files that are to be included elsewhere 2. Save each .dwt file and propagate the changes. 3. Publish the entire web, overwriting all files, (not just changed ones) Problem: Why does the page I am viewing on a published site either local file system or web server have the current page navigation button blank, i.e. without the button image? As such, a lot has changed with xhtml, xml, asp, php etc... I'm going to start using Frontpage to organize my site layout and do hyperlink testing but here's my question. I don't like the default HTML that Frontpage creates when you make a new page.  - Can't open in MS Access database created by Frontpage 2003 I just upgraded from Frontpage 2002 to Frontpage 2003 today. Now, when I want to open Access databases created by the Form Wizard, it shows me an error "MS Access can't open this file. This file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site.  - Database Problems. Please Help! We have been trying to display our Access Database information on our Intranet, and enable users to search by different fields. We do not want anyone to update through the Intranet. The updating is done directly by one person into the Access file. Something seemingly easy has been a nightmare. This is what we have been trying: 1. Using Front Page's Database Results Wizard, we have had to first import our database into our Intranet web, and then we can see records, and search etc. However since this database is updated elsewhere, we can't keep reimporting the file to keep the info dynamic, and it will not open the imported Access file in its web location for editing. 2. Using Access's data access page feature, we have been able to get our records to show up on the Intranet and be connected to the underlying file. In addition we have been able to seal records from user editing, but the problem is that only search capabilities are a weak filter by selection that does not do wildcard searches (such as one word in a description field). 3. In our Access database we have a perfect setup of parameter queries so that the user inputs all or part of a reference and gets a nice report. When we get this into our web thru a data access page, the parameter form does come up, but after filling it in, records never show in the report. It seems we have come up against specific stumbling blocks. For instance, does anyone know how to set up a hyperlink on a page created in Front Page that would just bring up and transfer control to the Access file? Right now, "Quick View" gibberish comes up. Does anyone know how can I reference an Access database outside of the Intranet in a file such as global.asa? It only appears to recognize http:// and not network letters?  - How do I make my website look same on any resolution? I'm new at this... have created a nice looking website, but did it while my resolution was set at 1280X1024. I went live with it, and a co worker looked at it from home and found that the pictures overlapped, and my text boxes were everywhere... sure enough, in her resolution, it looked like crud.  - Frame - sizing I have a Frame page top banner, vertical left, and body. Across the top banner, I've sized it to fit on my screen. Is there a way to make it autofit onto anyone's display - so that they don't have to use scrollbars. I just want it to take up whatever space it needs. It's about 1" deep, but it seems to be resolution dependent. I only want it to take up as much room as it needs. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help.  - Linking to and changing the contents of a specific cell I have a table of 4 cells. I'm not sure if I did it correctly, but I gave each cell an id. For this paticular example, I'm using a cell id of "top2". This cell currently has a graphic (../2.jpg) within. This graphic has a hotspot link that links to another graphic file (../2b.jpg). With the way this is written, the link opens a new window. Can you tell me a way that I can have this graphic display in cell id "top2", keeping my other cells unchanged?  - adding hyperlinks, I REALLY NEED ASSISTANCE! I really need help!! I just started making additions to an already existing website. What I am trying to do is add hyperlinks to thumbnail images so that when you click on the thumbnail you will see a larger image. When I publish the hyperlink for the image it turns out fine for that hyperlink, but this larger image will also appear when I click on any other thumbnails. I feel like I am just copying images over the previous images and that there no matter where I click it will bring me to the same hyperlink. Can anyone help me?  - Submitting information to Access I have an Access database that I want to write to from a webpage. I've followed the instructions for linking the the database to the page, but it doesn't write to the database.  - Locking Frames to keep a set of 4 images from getting pulled apart. Is there a way to lock frames at a certain pixel size so that regardless of the screen resolution the images within a set of frames will not be pulled apart? For example: This may be a little unorthodox, but I've got an image that I've split up into 4 separate images. I've placed the 4 images in separate frames in such a way that the images come together and appear as one image. I then have links within a certain frame that will change the image in either the same frame or a different frame. If the explorer window is fully maximized, then the set of 4 images do not come together.  - meta info problems Hi, I load fp 2002, load my web, then the index.htm file. I go to "properties" on the file menu, then to the "custom" tab as the help file in fp tells me. When I change the keywords, or add a "description" here, it doesn't show up after publishing. Also I went to a Search engine tool site and ran a free check on my site. The search engine check syas I have NO keywords at all, yet I can see them when I go to edit them again with fp. My "Title" is also incorrect. How do I fix these?? Thanks, Bill S. That's exaggerating a bit, but other than a small selection of fonts, when I change the font on FrontPage 2002 into a new font, it automatically becomes the default font. The strange thing is that if I set the default font to one of these usually-undisplayed fonts, they display fine (of course, all others become that one default).

If I preview it in the browser it looks fine, and the fonts are installed....

Default Font is only the Font FP uses in Design/Normal View, and means use the users Browser Default font
