    - PLEASE HELP - assistance needed for making expandible links I am working on a website for my office - stricly for internal inventory-type purposes. I have weekly Excel Spreadsheets which I incorporate to pages in FrontPage which are already set up to use. However, the 'index' page where these items can be clicked needs some work. I've been instructed to make each link, which expands to show all the weeks in each month and their respective inventory counts, expandible/collapsible or however it should be phrased. Basically I need the link to open to sublinks upon being clicked. I may not be explaining this perfectly, but if my request is clear to anyone who's performed this action before, your assistance will be greatly appreciated.     - Is Buffering Video Doable? I have added a plug-in for viewing an .AVI file and would like to know how I can buffer the playback for the user.     - There is no catalog - message. Tried 183731 After following KB 183731 I still get: There is no catalog. The url listed is: http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_script/disc1_srch.htm0.idq I even tried deleting disc1_srch.htm0.iqd. It gave an error that that file was missing. The index service is running and I can see in the snap-in that pages are being indexed. Do I need to start from scratch? How can I fix this?     - Email relaying Hello, I am wondering if this can be done with FP I have posted it before and received a ambiguous answer but it was also not directly posted so here goes. I have a total at this time 5 web sites and I have two servers, one is a few miles away. I want to off-load 3 of these sites to that server (which I have no problem publishing to) The problem that I face is the mail server is Here with me and I cannot get the forms to work over there. (Email that is) I have no problem letting the IP through on my end but how do tell FP to do this or FPSE for that matter? Can I set the server a few miles away to relay or Use my mail server with FP ? Has anyone tried this?     - Link with input attached ? Hello I'm new here and I have a thorny problem (for me anyway!) I need to have a link from a web page to another page on the same intranet. The problem is that the target page needs some input to give the required info back to the user. So I need something like : link to page skip three input fields use input from original page (text input) to call further info from target page (database) I have no idea where to look for guidance or what such a procedure might be called.     - multiplyng link-bars I've volunteered to make some minor changes to a FP 2000 published website. I have FP 2002 on my development machine. I was able to open the website with file/open and publish it back to my machine. I am not able to file/open web the website on the internet. Therefore, I do not have the theme: pvwood111. Is pvwood111 an older MS theme or someone's custom theme? Any recommendations other than contacting the original website author? It is not copyrighted. One more item: Each time I open some of the pages on my machine, the link bars are copied and left on the page. If I open and close the page 4 times, I'll have 4 sets of the same link bar.     - Inventory search form I built an inventory search form by using the wizard and then inserting a new result in the original result page. www.isisco.com/data1 will give a view of it. the problem I'm having is I can't get the search function to work correctly I'm not able to return any record as a result although, I chose a record parameters that I know exist.     - Print Preview of Page Created Does Not Match Normal View I created a web page in Normal View, and when I preview it in print preview, all my formatting does not look right.     - Open Existing Web Pane I manage 3 websites with FP 2003. The first time I installed it my recently opened websites would be in the right pane making them very easy to open (instead of FILE>OPEN WEBSITE...then navigating to the MY WEBSITES folder.     - drw question Hopefully somebody out there can help me as I am stuck with a project I am working on at the moment. I have a web page that links to other pages and passes parameters to them. One of the parameters is the userid of the logged on person which is stored in a cookie. When I put the following code directly into an asp page : <a href="http://www.test.com?a=3686&b=<%response.write(request.Cookies("UserID" ))%> " target="_blank"></a> it works fine and the page translates this to (assuming I was signed on as testuser) : http://www.test.com?a=3686&b=testuser So that seems fine. I am now trying to change the page so that it is built dynamicaly from a database to save me future maintenance. When I use the Database Results Wizard to pass the link above, it does not seem to handle the response.write code and the link translates as : http://www.test.com?a=3686&b=<%response.write(request.Cookies("UserID"))%> I have also tried using the normal parameters but this ends up translating as : http://www.test.com?a=3686&b=::UserID:: I have change the receiving cell to show as HTML but is still does not work.     - Database Connection Strings I have a few simple Access tables to store data in. The PF2002 wizards work fine for the input. However, I want to retrieve data from those table and concantenate the fields to create my own formatting. The wizards only allow table type views. I can not find any reference books that show how to set up a simple connection string, access the fields I need, and allow me to manipulate them. (for simple example-[LastName] & ", " & [FirstName] & " " & [MiddleInitial]. The reference books I have show me how to set up a SQL Server string, or a connection to a local harddrive using Access.     - Why does the "default font" command really not work in brose mode? Its me again, FrontPage2000 user. When I set the default font to Arial it still shows whatever is the browser's default font eg. Times new Roman.     - Two Frontpage questions - images and backing up 1) When I copy a jpg from image software into a website in Frontpage, the image degrades. I don't think this happens with .gifs, but why is it happening and can it be prevented? 2) Whats the best way to SAVE an entire website to your hard drive? But those only save specific pages, and even then they don't save the linked images in those pages.     - Checkbox group I have a editclient asp file. It allows the user to update the client info like address and other information. One field I have in the sql table is DisabilityCode. A person can be Vision, Physical, Conitive...They are coded by the first initials. So for one client, they can have up to 5 codes....for example, they could be CPV, PV or just V. How should I go about setting up a field on the webpage to allow the customer service rep to choose what code applies to the client? I was thinking of doing a checkbox group...so the client just checks the boxes that apply. When saving to the sql table, asp automatically saves it as "C, P, V" or "C, P". For this: When a CSR goes to edit a client info, if the text field has "C, P", how can I have the C and P checkbox already checked for them? Another option would have each code be its own checkbox. I would still have to do an if then statement for each checkbox to have it checked or not when the CSR goes to that webpage. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!     - Wrapping Text with Pix and Tables I am having a problem placing text to the left or right of a table or picture. I usually convert the pic to gif and place it inside a table. Then I place the table to the right. However, when I do, a huge blank space appears to the left In which I can type nothing.     - Index.htm loses color when displayed I am using Front Page 2000 and I have a 61 page web, http://www.fansfantasygifts.com and several days ago the Home page lost its background. I am using a Theme, loose- gesture and every other page is OK but the Home page, index.htm, has a white background.     - Can you make MS FP 2003 "<! MS..." remarks stop appearing? I have to place a script in all of my 208 webpages. The java script will only run correctly when it follows directly behind the <body tag. If not, you get an error and the script may not run correctly. It is used to place the graphics for my NavBar and has to be in that position to perform some calculations accurately. Else, the graphics look pretty weird. Can I make the "<! MS Navigation" remarks disappear by some setting in FP2003? I am using FP2003 on WinXP SP3.     - want to change the default text on a picture on my web site i have a site with a bunch of photos.. when you insert a picture the text associated with that picture is the file name.. so when the pointer hoovers over the photo, it shows the photo file name.     - Link Bar - Home won't show up Help! For some reason after I added a new link, the home button no longer shows up after the first move to another page. You can never go back to home. I've tried removing the one I added and still it won't work. PS remove all spaces from file names - it breaks links
