    - Create a database to store form results I'm creating my web site on my PC first. I will look for hosting once my web site is finished. I try to create a feedback page with ebay style, that means that people would leave positive or neutral or negative rating and leave a comment. Then this input would go into a database and from that, I could calculate the percent of positive feedback and display it. I have 2 questions. 1) Is there something on the web that could guide me on how to do this feedback form and result form ? 2) if not, I can try to do it myself, no problem. But in my form, in form properties, I clicked on "send to database" and "options, On the Database Results tab, I clicked Create Database. Frontpage prompted me to rename my .htm file into a .asp file, which I did. But then, I can't preview this .asp file in Internet Explorer 6.     - Receivng Error Message on Submit Form I have a form on my website that submits data to another form using a Submit button. It has been working for over 2 years without a problem. Within the last week the error messaage below is received when submitted. The data is sent to the second form but the email notification does not work. If the email is removed from the submit form there is no error message received. FrontPage Error. User: please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. My server provider gave me the following information: Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: http://www.gwrra-mi.org - Error #a0007 Message: Error from search: can't open the word hash file gwrra-mi.org\_vti_txt\default.wti\All.dct unable to open the database He suggested republishing the website to correct the error, that seems extreme.     - Removing a form/database from a website or editing it? I recently created a website in which I used the database interfacce wizard in Frontpage to create a form a conjoined database in which to store the information. When I set it up, I included a login to protect the database. Well unfortunately I protected the form as well, resulting in the need for a person to login to complete the form. Not exactly what I had in mind. Is there a way to alter it so that the form can be accessed outside the login protection, but have the database remain protected.     - Open window at an absolute location I have an application that opens a fixed size window without menus or toolbars, using the 'Format/Behavior' tools in FP2003. I would like to have the window open with the upper left corner in a specific position - maybe 30p from the left browser window edge, and 30p down from the top browser window edge.     - include virtual I have a site on a virtual server that uses page includes. I need the web pages that are in sub-folders to be able to retrieve the top navigation bar as a page include without having to copy all of my menu bar files to each sub-folder for it to work. On one of my websites on a different server I used the "include virtual" script tag to call the page include and it works, but for some reason it isn't working on my virtual server site. I thought this might have something to do with Parent Pathing so I had our Admin turn it on and then off and then on again, but it doesn't seem to help. Can anyone out there help?     - Retrieving Album title name WMA file Can anyone help me here? I need to be able to retrieve the Album Title from a WMA file via jscript? I could easily do this in any other language (C++), but trying to get this to work on a web site is driving me crazy.     - Form Problems - Please Help I have a problem with a form that I created. I am hoping that someone can help me figure it out. I have about 8 form fields, of which 7 are required. When you hit submit on the form you are suppose to be redirected to a confirmation page which will recap the fields with directions. Then an email with all of the field names and data should be sent via email. The following is happening, however: 1) No validation of required fields. When you hit submit, even with no data inserted, it allows the submission to go through. This should not be allowed. It is ignoring any validation or minimum character sets. 2) Even with data entered and clicking submit, there is still an issue where there is no results data in the confirmation page nor is there data next to the field names in the email body. I have played around with things a bunch, but nothing has worked.     - help accessing a database through my web page I have a small database I use to keep track of the people that work for me (about 200). They work all over the region and are divided into a few work groups. I need to know every day that they are working where they are supposed to. Having each of these people call me is not the way I would prefer to muster them. My ideal solution is to make this database information available available on my command's web page. They would be able to log onto the web page and click in a box to tell me what they are working on (i.e. report 1, report 2, project 1, etc...) Since this database has some personal info in it (SSN's, etc..) a password would be needed. I am an intermediate user with a little knowledge and the tricky part as I see it is getting the info on the web page to update my database in real time. I use MS Frontpage for my Web Page. Do you think this is even possible? I don't want to waste my time if it's not. Maybe you in the group won't mind giving me your opinion on this project. I'm not asking you HOW, just IF you think it will work. Of course, any knowledge you would like to share would be much, much appreciated. Thank you for your time.     - Adding callbacks to pushbuttons By the subject of my query you might notice that I formerly used X/Motif. I am not a newbie to software, only to FrontPage (and HTML). For the life of me I cannot see a way to add a callback (function, subroutine, whatever) to a pushbutton. I started with the "Banner and Contents" frames page. I want to have a row of pushbuttons in the top frame and a column of pushbuttons in the left frame. And when I select one of the top pushbuttons, I want to display a context-dependent column of pushbuttons in the left frame and an appropriate file in the main display frame. Would someone please list the URL for a Microsoft help-file that addresses this situation? Or do I need to buy a good HTML reference book and add this code manually? I'm using FrontPage 2003.     - DISAPPEARING <title> TAGS?? I use frontpage everyday, with little to no complaints. Except for every other time I am saving and publishing a new or old web page on one of my sites, the contents within the <title> tags for the doc completely disappear! I have no idea why the program would actually go in and edit code after a save and a publish. No error messages nothing complicated is happening here folks, just open>edit>save>publish and PRESTO! DISAPPEARING TITLE! I'm totally frustrated as a web developer maintaining several websites, only one of my sites seems to have this bug. With the main difference is that there are other people accessing the files on this site so mayyyybe there is some setting on their Frontpage that is doing this but if there is I'd like to know what it is and how to turn it off.     - Frontpage Crashes Opening Pages with "Include pages" Frontpage 2000 OS = WinXp Home & Windows 2000 Workstation (multiple machines) Server = (Multiple) UNIX Virtual Hosts and Local Machine Issue: When attempting to open *.html files with  (Include pages), the application crashes to the desktop with no error message. When I check the wecerr.txt file I see the error: "You are not authorized to perform the current operation." with the time and datestamp. This happens on the virtual server as well as the local copies. Attempts to resolve: I've repaired Office and Uninstalled/Reinstalled Office, to no avail. My webhost has reinstalled frontpage extensions (from scratch), however, this is happening on ALL my hosts. I AM able to open files without "include pages" both locally and on the servers with no problems. Everything worked previously, and the only changes made to the computers have been the Windows Updates. Anybody else having this issue? Can you help me resolve this? Thanks!
