Hi,

I'm using FP2000 to create a company website and was
wondering if I can incorporate a login page whereby
certain page can only be accessed by company's staff
(username and password required) but not to the public. I
also observed that in my FP2000, the Tools-Security
feature cannot be turn on. As such I cannot experiment
with this feature. Can anyone be kind enough to advise me
how I can go about creating such a login page? Thanks.

Tools Security requires the site to be running under the FP SE
Are you using a disc based web (not available) or the FP SE under IIS?
If under the FP See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=301554

I too am a newbie. I think that the answer depends on the server you are
using to host the web.
The safest way is to build your own registration system as shown In
FrontPage Inside out, using session variables and the CD contains example
code. Hope this helps.
