Taking into consideration my other posts, I am sure that you have worked =
out that I haven't the first clue about html.
Can you tell me exactly where I have to put this code, (ideally using my =
site www.steggles.com as an example).

You're links are just as spider friendly as the links on any other =
site.
I would however add a robots meta tag to the head section of each =
page:
<meta NAME=3D"ROBOTS" CONTENT=3D"index,follow">
And also place a robots.txt file containing the following in the root =
of the web:
User-agent: *
You make a robots text file using notepad and save it with the name =
robots.txt
Place it in the web root and publish.
User-agent * tells the spiders they have permission to spider your =
web.
