    - Cell Colors Is there a way to set the background color of a cell based on a field in my results query? I have a field named "Priority" and I would like the cell background color to be "yellow" if the field value = "2" and green if it's value ="1" and red if it's value ="0". Can this be done in a results based query page?     - Defective & DWT Missing Navigation Tree in FrontPage I uploaded my site using Frontpage 2003 after making some recent changes. My WSP's server hosts 3 of my sites. I noticed after viewing my remote website that 2 of my "hover" buttons displayed the incorrect buttons. These buttons are visible on every page because I included them in my DWT (Dynamic Web Template). Although these buttons activate the correct hyperlinks, their button texts and button images are displaying buttons from my other site's . I have also notice that my Navigation tree is missing. I tried deleting these 2 buttons and recreating them. I get the message "0 files have been updated. I then tried recalulating the links and republished. Still no changes. Note that when I "Preview" My site within FrontPage, all is well - the buttons display properly. Can someone suggest a way to fix these problems. I will be greatly appreciative!     - Insertion of flash video clips I am trying to put several short video clips on my site. I can do it pretty easily using the Windows Media plug in but have no control over the size of the display window. I have converted the clips to flash and would like to use this format.     - Right Shared Boarder Alignment I'm wanting to use Left, Top and Right Shared Boarders on my site redesign. I have the masthead in the Top Shared Boarder and the Left Boarder contains a table with the main navigation links. The body of each page is going to be in a 720 pixel wide table. Is there a way to get the right shared boarder (which will contain advertising) to be flush up to the right side of the main 720 pixel wide table?     - can't get more stupid then this.. Hi, When i use the "INSERT" into statement in DBRW in a custom query-string and type in the proper values ('::naam::') the result would that i get an error specified as "Unable to find operator in query string. Query string currently is Insert into invoer (naam) Values('::naam::')" So it doesn't insert anything into my table, (=problem no1, the major problem) Now when i change the Values to ('naam') without the :: then it does insert "naam" into my table but not the value that came from the insert -form field. It inserts the word "naam". So the Insert statement seems to work it only inserts the wrong value. It actually inserts the values name. So it appears to start working a bit ( i get no error messages like above) but now the right values. Is there a way i can solve these (2) problems, i've been looking at Microsoft MSDN, KB, FPsupport, but without any positive result, Pls do help if you can.     - Help with HTML please I have some HTML code that doesn't do quite what I need. Can anyone help with the following? I've divided my home page into 3 columns. First column is pictures, second is text, 3rd is navigation buttons. For SEO purposes, I want the 2nd column to appear first in the HTML. I was kindly given some HTML code that creats a table that achieves this: 2nd column is first, followed by 1st column, followed by 3rd column. I would like to change the order slightly so that it is: 2nd column first, 3rd column 2nd, 1st column last.     - Sending email or file download I setup a site that a user can purchase a document, once purchased using paypal I would like the user to download the document, or I would like to send the file automatically. How would I email the file automatically after purchase, or ensure that the user can only download the document once?     - FrontPage Dynamic Web Templates I'm building a new site using Dynamic Web Templates, and they work great so far, but now I'm starting to build the left side navigation bars, which are different on certain sections of the site.     - Cannot Add to database Hi (again) to all, Can anyone help me out with the following ? I'm trying to "insert" records to my table called 'invoer' (yes, thats dutch) I followed a sample from "frontpagehowto.com" and used a custom query-string like this : Insert into invoer (naam) values ('::naam::') The value comes from a page called insert.htm and the form properties are set to 'send-to-other' and as action it would post to addrecord.asp. (in my opinion this should work) However when i publish the whole thing and enter some name in the formfield 'naam' en click submit i keep getting the follwing error: Database Results Wizard Error The operation failed. If this continues, please contact your server administrator. I'm using FP2003 and the database connection works fine, also created pages to display other data and that works. The above sample is just a test-table i've created in my database because i actually need to store much more information into other tables. Give the above information, can somebody tell me what i did wrong and why it's not working?     - Unable to Update Database Records Sympton: The server has been performing adds, updates, deletes without any problems (for at least a year now). As of last night all ASP pages that perform the UPDATE statement stopped functioning. INSERT and SELECT statements continue functioning normally. Nothing changed with the code and the server administrator swears no changes were made on the server-end (unless there was one of those "silent" Windows Updates, he admits. This is the error message: "Database Results Wizard Error The operation failed. If this continues, please contact your server administrator." Environment: Windows 2003 Server, Web Edition; FrontPage 2003 connecting to an MS Access database These are the steps I've taken to try and troubleshoot the problem: 1) Published the entire website to a Windows 2000 Server and the problem persists, which tells me it is likely not OS-specific 2) Changed the Connection from the internal FrontPage database connection to an ODBC driver as a system DSN, no change & same symptons 3) I went to the extreme and changed permissions for the IUSR account in the /fpdb folder to "full" just to ensure that had nothing to do with it, no change 4) I restored from a known-working Access database backup from 4 weeks ago, no change 5) Every article at MS Support Site that I could find with the mentioned error does not pertain, although I went through each one just to verify it didn't apply (Articles 828898, 828905, 891819, 898721) 6) On the SAME server where this sympton occurs there is another website I manage that is setup similarly (meaning Access database), and is functioning normally (meaning you can perform INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE without problems) Any ideas? 12 hours after banging my head against the wall, well, I'm at a complete loss.     - Cannot use custom menu file Hi, I made an application using FrontPage 2000, with custom toolbar and menus (CmdUI.PRF file) and macros (Microsoft FrontPage.fpm file). Recently my computer was upgraded with Office 2002. I've copied the 2 files above in their respective directory, and started FrontPage 2002. The menus and toolbars were not my custom ones, and my file (CmdUI.PRF file) was replaced by the default one. Although I launched Visual Basic Editor and all my modules with their macros were displayed. Is there any incompatibility between toolbar files made with FP 2000 and FP 2002 ?     - dropdown list from query Can someone help me populate a dropdown list from a query in the database? This is a family receipe Database on the Web. I'd like a new contributor to add their name to the database as a contributor through one form. From that point on, their name should show up in a dropdown list to select whenever they want to add a new receipe.     - CCS Working in FrontPage but NOT in IE??? I have created a button for one of my web pages that uses both CSS and a small graphic. It works as expected in the FrontPage 2003 preview view, but when I view it in IE it doesn't display the same. It omits a small graphic that is included in the button.     - web pages won't display on local host I am designing a website for my company. All has been fine until the other day when I checked the website view on our server and it didn't display any of the changes I hade made over the last several weeks. The changes appear correctly viewing on the local and remote view in Front page but when I go to run and type in the address to view on our server just the old site appears.     - Form data not saved to existing database I've got an existing Access database that works fine with an existing form. I added a new table to the database and then created a new form. I matched the form fields to the fields in the database table and then published the site. When I enter data with the browser I get the confirmation page, but no data is actually entered in the table. The more I play with forms the more I'm seeing that the only way to every get them to work is create the form first and then let FP create the database. Nothing else ever seems to work.     - New HTA- are Iframes the answer? Hi! OK, I admit it, I am a newbie coder but very much a techie generalist. If you keep it to a medium level, I will probably understand you. Even links would be useful. I have undertaken the task of creating an HTA application in Front Page out of about 60 movies rendered by Camtasia Studio and protected by MS DRM. The rendering converts the movies from AVI to WMV, and creates a graphical index of each movie using jscript in an HTML based file, with an imbedded Windows Media Player. Guess what? HTA conversion on the Front Page shell I'm building is NOT causing a problem with the usability and viewing of these pages within the HTA main window!!! YIPPEE! What I cannot seem to do is add the necessary browser/page navigation controls to the movie htm file in order to go back to the prior list of movies. In this situation, the user would have to close the application then restart it to navigate to a different movie. Not really the "user experience" I want. So is this the case for an IFrame? (whattever that is) I want the GUI to look non-browser, which is why I used the NAVIGABLE property of HTA:APPLICATION One other thing- I can display any Adobe PDF's I want, as long as I don't want to display them in my HTA main window. I just get the horrible goobletygook that tells me something is very very wrong. However, I can use the context menu and display in a new window (with all the associated browser warnings). I've created my data on 600 Html files on my harddrive c:\data..

How can I make a main menu page in c:\data. that has a dropdown list menu so
I can scroll to
the File I want and when I click it the htlm file "opens in a new window",

Are these "loose" pages or did you actually create a web/site at c:\data ?
Is this for the internet or for an intranet?

If you haven't created these pages in a web/site, that would be your first
step. If all those pages are in \data you could convert \data to a
web/site...however, I'm not sure you'd want your web in the root of c:. ----
Are you running IIS on your machine or just disc-based web?

Second step would be to create an index page and then create your directory
or dropdowns (whatever) there on the index page.
