I'm using FrontPage 2000 and I'm trying to create a jump
menu, such that the items in a drop down menu will be
hyperlinks to other pages.

I am able to create these jump menus in Dreamweaver and
then open the file in FrontPage and still have it work.
BUT...when I change one thing on the menu, it causes it
not to work.

Any ideas?

I'm sure that the J-Bots component would simplify things
but I still want to know why Frontpage can handle the html
code from Dreamweaver but the second that you change one
variable, it makes the code ineffective.

That's true but I was hoping that someone has created and

There are HTML/JavaScript drop down menus and DHTML/CSS drop down menus
- either can be created in FP or DW (or notepad for that matter)
- no one can guess what code problems you are having w/o more specifics

Hi Robert,
I'm sure everyone in this group has built a jump menu with FP :-) You can
lose the Macromedia jump menu code and just make your menu like this
<select
onchange="if(this.options.selectedIndex>0)location.href=this.options[this.op
tions.selectedIndex].value;">
<option value="">Choose a link</option>
<option value="http://www.microsoft.com">MS</option>
etc...

Thanks guys....I'll give it a shot. BTW...I wasn't really
asking how to fix my problem specifically, I was looking
to see if FrontPage could support jump menus. You
obviously answered that.

Upgrade to 2002 or 2003. You can then use the JumpURL FrontPage component
which is very cool and FREE. :)
