problem making div width actually = 100%
I have an asp page similar to the below:
<body>
<div style="position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px;filter:...gradient...;width:100%;margin-right:0px;>
stuff here
</div>
</body>
I want the div to stretch all the way across the browser window, and I don't want to see background color to
the right of it but I do
... it looks like i have the margin-right set to 25px when I don't.
Any ideas?

Frontpage should have collapsible code view like Visual Studio.ne.
It would be useful if Frontpage would support collapsible code in the same
way that Visual Studio.net does (using the + and - buttons). This would allow
programmers to hide code that is bug-free when de-bugging thus reducing the
amount of visible code on the screen. Tag: Interesting presentation for those wanting to use uncommon fonts on a page Tag: 46645

Beta Users and advanced features Sign-up here... http://www.eigensearch.com/inc/constructs/betasignup.htm
Central to eigenSearch Advanced is the freedom to construct complex search explorations, save the forms for later use; and apply weight factor to each phrase and term. EigenSearch processing will apply eigenvector math and Jacobian matrices to construct search terms that are tailored to your exploration. Cross-pollination is also applied as described below. The eigenvector approach is clearly highly advanced and would normally be useful for very sophisticated applications. Nevertheless, anyone may utilize the method. An advanced form is simply a matrix in which the user types words and phrases randomly in a multi-cell form (please click thumbnail to view).
Advanced features
EigenOperator (cross pollination) and eigenvector constructs
Cross document content pollination within every web site directory tree (unlike conventional search engines and tools eigenSearch checks for your terms and phrases and drills down though multiple directory documents)
EigenSearch cross-pollination is applied to documents within the same (tree) level in a URL (peer documents). Thereby limiting the amount of contamination of results
Illustration:
"Blood Hounds" + "English Breed" will present documents that contain either of these phrases within the same peer level in a document storage structure; for example, within the directory: www.smartdogs/hounds.
eigenSearch limits pollinating occurrences outside a peer level. For example; "blood hounds" + "English breed" found in two different directories would not report an eigenSearch result: i.e. "Blood hounds" found in www.smartdogs/hounds and "English Breed" found in. www.smartdogs/hounds/Europe would not be found. EigenSearch therefore searches one tree (peer) level in a site and looks for multiple occurrences of multiple phrases across all documents within this peer level.
Corporate products can be tailored to drill down infinite levels for eigenOperator (cross-pollinating operator) matching.
eigenSearch single phrase results will find all documents and show the results as independent findings. This way the user can find results across many documents and the combined highly constrained results are reserved for a single level cross pollination.
Extremely high (cross-pollinating) eigenValues will correspond to finely granular and refined search explorations.
Beta users receive the following features:
Login and password
Save search constructs for later use in your own personal construct tables
EigenOperator (cross Pollinating Operator) advanced features as described above (eigenvector to follow)
Database (Table) upload and eigenvector computations
EigenSearch seeks 300,000 beta testers for its advanced eigenOperator based cognitive engine. This engine will allow for a multiplicity of search parameters for users to select so as to mathematically narrow results. The system will employ eigenVectors, eigenValues and eigenMatrices to determine relevance to user searches; thereby rendering high fidelity confirmed search results.
Naturally the computational power for doing such math is why beta testers are required. Each tester is welcome to comment on user friendliness, speed, change and ergonomic elegance. It is an eigenSearch goal to continue advancing the user interface so as to remain intuitively simple to use while at the same time providing hi-fidelity explorations.
All beta testers will receive a login and password, which provides entry into features for saving search constructs and parameters according to their own classification approach. Saved results and parameters can be used at any time and modified to alter search results. Beta users will be able to import their own data sets (2-dimentional) and perform an eigenValue analysis.

Website won't display new record
I installed SP3 for Office XP today. I'm using FP 2002.
I added a new record to my website Access db via the FP editor and received
the "top.list.location" error - I got that fixed.
However, the new record I added is in the db but won't display via any

matching values and can be looked up. Nothing displays where the data should
be, no error messages either.
I can edit the new record via the editor. And I can edit and delete existing

Active Links...with Frames
My web has 3 frames - Navigation, Header, and Body. Unlike many framed
sites, I want to change both the header and body when a link is clicked on
the Nav bar. At the moment, my needs are met by changing all three frames on
a Nav bar click. There are two problems:
1. I have reload the nav frame every time (minor download time and flicker)
2. the particular link on the nav frame does not stay the active link.
For example,
http://www.writeonwhidbey.org/2005_Conference/2005_Conf_Home.htm
On this page the header is used to hold links to sub-pages. If you click one
of these "header-links" it becomes the active link for that page, and shows
up as WHITE. This is a nice reminder for the user to know where she/he is.
I'd really like to have the appropriate link on the left ("Writers
Conference" on the above page) also be a different color...white...to
indicate that this set of pages is associated with the "Writers Conference."
An unacceptable solution would be to actually have a different Nav bar frame
for each major section. Changes seem to be made too often to the nav bar to
make this a viable solution. Change one and you should really change them
all.
The only solution I can think of is to load only two frames when a nav bar
link is clicked.
Is there a way to TARGET more than one frame; i.e. load two frames out of
three when I click a link?

Frontpage local web has changed after re-installation
We have had problems with viruses after changing from Norton AntiVirus 2002
to 2004. Our supplier has done a complete reinstall of the information on
the PC.
The reloaded copy of our website that is on the PC has changed. Many of the
folder and file names which were previously in lower case are now in UPPER
case - for example 'accommodation/index.htm and logo.gif' appear in the
folder list as ACCOMMODATION/INDEX.HTM and LOGO.GIF'
I changed a lot by right clicking and renaming - but it is a lot of files!
I then opened our web in Frontpage and published it to my local web. This
still left a lot of files listed in upper case including some that I had
changed.
Will this cause a problem if I publish the local web to the server?
How do I get rid of the upper case?
We are using Frontpage 2000 and the machine is Windows 98SE. It is also
reacting slower and erratically since the reinstall so Norton has a lot to

AllWebCo templates
Folks,
I purchased a web template from AllWebCo and anytime I
edit a page with FP 2003 and save it, the link from the
DHTML menu appears to be broken when I test it with IE.
I was unable to import the entire web site into FP, I was
just editing one of the pages. AllWebCo seems lost when
it comes to FP 2003.
I looked at both the menu program (javascipts) and before
and after version of a page I changed with FP. I didn't
see anything "screwy" that might be tripping this up.
If I edit the pages with Notepad, it works out. I'm
assuming the saved pages either are in a different format
or that all "simple HTML" pages (AllWebCo's description
of their code) cannot be edited in FP. Which, doesn't
sound quite right.
Any thoughts would be appreciated !

Publish without "delete file on server" query?
I'm using FP2000 to maintain a .org web site that's hosted by earthlink's
servers. Whenever I publish changes to the web site (daily), FP sees all the
hosting files that track visitor traffic and other things and for each one
asks me, for example: "the file logs/.htaccess exists on the server but does
not exist in the current web. Would you like FrontPage to remove it from
<Root Web>?" I have to click "no" for each one (currently about thirty such
files).
I'd love to find a way to stop FP from comparing files on the server to
files on the web on my C drive when I publish. Don't want to delete the files
from the server, either, nor copy them to C: as they are apparently being
added daily as traffic is tracked.
I know I can just upload changed pages with FTP outside FP, but if FP's
publish routine can be tweaked I'd appreciate knowing how. Thanks. Tag: Interesting presentation for those wanting to use uncommon fonts on a page Tag: 46546

frontpage together so that the login page can read the database. I am
mostly familiar with simple html codes. I am not a complete novice,
but then i am not a pro.
Any help would be great. Tag: Interesting presentation for those wanting to use uncommon fonts on a page Tag: 46521
Front Page freezes
I am using Office 2000 on Windows XP. FrontPage opens fine, and when I choose
to open a web/file, the pull-down menu comes up fine. But when I click on the
web/file I want to open, the program freezes. I've been using this program for
a few years now, and this has never happened until this past week.
I did a sytem restore, that did not help.
Any suggestions on how to get FrontPage working again, without uninstalling and
Reinstalling Office 2000?
Thanks,
Rob

Access database and frontpage
I am new to using Frontpage and Access and would like some advice. I have
created an intranet site fro the school no problems, but I have also created
a database to keep track of the ICT rooms and their bookings. The data access
page I have incorporated into a front page page and it works well run locally
as it picks up the database from my machine, but when I publish it to the
server I get the form but not the information conatined within the database.
I get the message abou needing to install web componants, but I cannot find
them anywhere. Help please, before I go any greyer. Tag: Interesting presentation for those wanting to use uncommon fonts on a page Tag: 46504

after uploading to the hard drive and viewed on the net the picture does not

Database results wizard query
Hi,
I'm using the database result wizard to extract information from a Access
database. The wizard allows you to enter critera at the top ASP page once
it's created it.
If I create a separate HTML page as a 'critera entry' page, how do I pass
the information from the HTML page to the ASP AND then pass it into 'webbot'
that runs the SQL statement ?
In the HTML page, I call the ASP with the following command:
List.asp?PR=Rooms=2
The ASP page, get the data passed with the following bit of script:
<%session.LCID = 2057
Room_No=request.querystring("Rooms")
%>
In the webbot command, I have the following SQL statment in the s-sql field:
s-sql="SELECT * FROM SOL_Voidlist WHERE (Rooms=' & Room_No & ')"
If I this, it seems that the webbot command complete ignores the value in
the Room_No field. If I amend the SELECT statement and type the value
directly, it works OK !
Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong and why webbot ignores extrnal
values held within a field ?
Thanks for your help in advanced.

Help with FormMail
My feedback form worked great until I had to move my whole site into its own
subweb to add a second one using the same domain. Now FormMail won't work.
It sends me the results, but won't redirect the user. (at least is was
sending me the results.. I'm not so sure now).
I've tried putting a cgi-bin folder with FormMail in the same directory that
I moved the site to and where the html forms are, but that didn't work.
I'm thinking that the problem is simply that I haven't told FormMail its new
path, but I can't locate anyplace to do that. I believe I've used the
#Redirect syntax correctly. I copied it, added it under the #Redirect line
and changed the web address to the location of the "thanks" form.
Any help would be appreciated. If it helps, the form is located at

Thanks.

Form messes up table width?
This simple WEB has a Nav bar on the left. All the pages work OK except for
one which has a FORM on it. For some reason the width of the Nav Bar table
cell has shrunk!! Any ideas how to fix this?

Put audio/video on Frontpage
How come you can't easily put audio on Frontpage? I want to put a button so
people can click on it to hear what is on that particular page.
Also, how can you easily put video on Fontpage? It's stupid that you can't
do either of these things easily!
The web took off when pictures could be shown. Isn't the next logical step
to have audio/video on web sites? Tag: Interesting presentation for those wanting to use uncommon fonts on a page Tag: 46478
