    - Frontpage - Sharepoint Portal - Form Web Part - HELP!!! I am totally confused on this one. I have done all the reading I can find on the Form Web part. I see graphics of modified Form Web Parts passing multiple fields to sort data view web parts but all the examples I find are only passing one field which is easily done through the wizard. I read another post in this forum but still don't quite understand how to get this to work. These are the steps I have tried: 1. I create a dataview of a SQL data source 2. create a Form web part and add T1, T2, T3, etc... 3. Using web Connection wizard create connection "Modify view using parameters from" 4. can only select one of my form fields as a source matched to "Input Parameter". 5. The other fields are useless. I tried creating the filter on the SQL data source through FrontPage data source properties but the web part then displays "The query you are trying to execute contains syntax errors." Any HELP would be greatly appreciated!!! ----------------------- I also found this on another forum describing the same issue with no answers posted: "On my page I have a Form web part with 4 dropdown boxes that contain filter criteria and a submit button. I also have the list web part that contains the information that I am pulling from and want to display. Problem.     - Database Wizrd Problem Hi, thanks for reading! I am using Frontpage 2000 Database wizard to set up a search table for my database. It works fine when I set up values like: Last Name = Last Name or Insert Name = Insert Name or Year = Year or Make = Make or But I want the user to be able to fill in more then one field! So, by putting 1997 Topps (make) it should show only 1997 Topps cards, etc. I thought maybe setting up like this was the answer, but it did not work as planned: Lastname = Lastname and Insert = Insert or (THUS GIVING ME Matches to all with the same lastname and insert name as entered) Lastname = Lastname and Make = Make or (THUS GIVING ME matches to all cards with the same Lastname and make) Continuing with AND AND OR, etc so if one or more fields are filled it works accordingly.     - Updating Database I am using FrontPage 2002, ASP, SQL 2000 on a Win2K Server with FrontPage 2002 Extensions. I have created an Update query to allow users to update the record. The problem is that it is not updating anything. I hit update from my update from and nothing gets updated. According to the Verify Query, it is fine, but it still not working. Can someone help.     - Secure and nonsecure items popups I published a web site. When I go to it I don't have any problems. When other people go to it they get the "secure and nonsecure items" popup.     - Error 533 Access Denied I have been using MS Frontpage 2000 for well over a year now, and this is a brand new error while publishing the site that I've had all along. I make and publish changes to my site nearly every week. It is hosted on a friend's server, and he says that everything on his end is fine. I always use the "publish all pages" option instead of the "Publish just the changes". As of last week after just making some standard changes to some text, I got the error "533 Access denied". When I searched the online help topics, the closest subject that I found was for "Error 500_ access denied", and that has something to do with files can't begin with an underscore. This is not the problem that I am having. I had recently added some more pages, but I have done that plenty of times in the lifetime of my site. We are baffled.     - Buttons not working on Front Page site I created a site through Front Page 2000 and posted it through Angelfire. My site has buttons for navigation. When I view the site through my personal computer the buttons do not work. They are displayed as blaks with the red 'x' in the upper left corner. I cannot use them and am stuck on the first page. But when I access the site through any other computer (I have used 3 so far) the buttons are displayed and are functional. All the computers used Windows XP and MSN through Verizon DSL. I assume therefore that the problem lies in my computer's internet settings. However, when I check them it says all buttons are enabled. What can I do? I can't view my own site!     - ASP and Front Page and a listserv I am trying to impliment a form to collect an email address and name. I would like the user to input his name and email and and email the info to the listserv. The server has a asp program running to impliment the email program. I have to write asp code in FrontPage. I have the code.. I was told that my html page should end in .asp.     - Shared borders mess Hi all, I am a dumb newbie (obviously) , no question, I am half way thru "FP 2003 Inside Out" and I am very confused. I am updating an old website by making a corporate website with the wizard, so far so good. Now that I added my logo to every page, I decided I would like to get rid of the logo, except in the home page and keep messing it up. Good thing I keep making backups as I progress.     - ASP Problems Hi I've created a website using the Databases and Forms features in Frontpage, I've published the site on an Win 2000 Server, the rest of the site is working, however when i try to access the ASP portions of the site, the source code instead just shows up instead of what it is suppose to do.     - Jump Menu I'm using FrontPage 2000 and I'm trying to create a jump menu, such that the items in a drop down menu will be hyperlinks to other pages.     - Hit Counter over-counting Hi - Using FrontPage 2003, installed a standard hit counter in the default frame of my website. Problem is, every time I click on the "Home" button to bring that page back up in the frame (after going to another page in that frame), the counter is incremented.     - Space below Front Page Hover Buttons Is there any way to eliminate the small space below a frontpage standard hover button? I am trying to nestle a hover button between two tables that are about 2 pixels high to create a boundry, sort of.     - Tahoma font problem Hi, I am a newbie and searched this and couldn't find anything. I am customizing a theme and changed the font in a link bar interactive buttons to tahoma (which shows perfectly in design and preview) but when I publish looks awful (some kind of default font) This is all happening in my computer.     - SSL I am running IIS on my win 2000 pro machine. I would like to create a SSL secured sub-web and test it. How are you suppose to do this? I do not have a certificate to add to my machine so the option for SSL is not available. I do have SSL on the actual server that runs my site. Do I create the sub web on my local site without SSL.     - Incomplete Search Results On our intranet, I have added one more folder in the index server to search. The build-in query works great and searches the files under this new folder.     - Multiple displays I am having problems when viewing my website in different displays. It looks perfectly fine in 1024 x 768. When I view it in 700 x 600 I need to scroll right and left to view the whole page.     - Website update not working external. Any ideas on this ??? I have updated my whole site internal and external at work. Internal the site works great.............. But external the site has only updated pages/pics files upto the letter 'N'.     - Web site oversized I have worked too long hours on my website and am very frustrated. When working on my webpage I would continuously switch to browser preview to make sure that everything looked good. Upon publishing my website It looked perfectly fine on my computer. I have read the Front Page 2002 Bible and thought I had a simple split frame set up correctly but when I click on a hover button in the top frame (using it as a navigation bar), it gives me a "page not found" error.     - border on Shared Borders I have shared borders Top & Left. They have a different color than the page content color. I want a thin black border line separating them. The top one works fine (putting the border line on the bottom using Format/Borders & Shading), but the left shared border (with a right border line) one leaves a bit of space(the color of the Shared Border), maybe 2 px wide between the border line and the right hand edge of the shared border. It seems to me that since FP knows how much of the Shared Border to color, it should know where to place the border, but I can't figure it out.     - transferring thumnail links I'm using Frontpage 2000 and over the past two years have created a web site which is now too diverse. I want to split it into two or more smaller sites, more relavent to the subjects. My problem is there are a lot of images (about 400) on the main site that I want to copy and paste to the new sites, are there any ways I can do this and still retain the thumbnail 'links' so viewers can enlarge the images. I've tried straight copying and pasting the images onto the new pages and that's fine but the 'links' to the thumbnails have been put in the Temp Internet Folder and I don't know what to do with them cause every now and then I delete everything in this folder to clean up the computer. It seems that I could copy them to a new folder? Would this work? Or do I have to somehow transfer them to an "Images" folder on the new web site. Is so how do I do that please? The last thing I want to hear is that I've lost all my thumbnails and to get them back I have to re photo all the images. There must be an easier way. Thanks in advance. I want to include indented lists in FP2003. However, the increase/decrease indent buttons are grayed out. Apparently I am missing an option setting.

There are no settings in FP (any version) that would turn off Indents or Lists
- unless you don't even have a page open
There are pure html (level 3-)

Try running a repair of FP2003

OK - here is the fix

1) Customize the tool bar by removing the increase & decrease indent icons
2) Reinsert the increase & decrease indent icons

Now everything works.

Close FP & reopen FP - still OK

Problem fixed.
