    - Submitting contact feedback as v-card Is this possible?? In my website I created a page that let users send me feedback, specifically their contact information. This is working correctly as the feedback is sent to my "support" mailbox in text format.     - Validate form input (ASP) Hi: I spent a whole day trying to find a simple ASP code to validate two boxes input. All I got were java and ASP.NET and I've tried them but could not work here. Can anyone please help? Here is what I got The form is based on "ASP" and will deliver data and store into an Access database - this part is ok. If all fields have been filled out and submitted, it will link to a confirmation page - this part is ok. Upon submit, the form will first check if all the required input is being filled out - this part is ok. Problem is one more validation for two password boxes. The two passwords have to match each other before the form is being processed. What I have tried --- (1) Scripts are either being ignored without processing for any validation, or (2) An error message jumped out saying the two passwords do not match each other but the form still is being processed and the confirmation page still be brought up. I know there is a "validate" option box for text box but have no idea of how to set up the last two options for the value. I could not find anywhere from Microsoft about any explanations of the set up, neither for the ASP samples. I found some from other sites but did not work. Please show me or point me to where I can finish up these last validation. PS: Kindly do let me know where should I put those scripts in the code section if you do have them.     - I have problem with making FrontPage add-ins! Please help me! Hi! I want to make an add-in for FrontPage 2002 (on Windows 2000 Pro.). I have the FrontPage SDK for FrontPage 2002 and I use the files from "Files" folder in my project. My problem is that when I call the CoCreateInstance method ( CoCreateInstance(CLSID_Application, NULL, CLSCTX_ALL, IID__Application, (void **)&pfpApp); ) I receive the following error: 0x8002801d Library not registered. When I took a look in "wom.idl" I saw the following line in the "library FrontPage" section: " importlib("mso9.dll");". I think that is an older version than the one that is on my computer.     - Preview Not Correctly Showing Hover Buttons (outline w/red X) Please Help! Running Frontpage 2000 with XP Pro. I am trying to preview my page and the hover button that I have created (with a correct link) does not display correctly. It shows the outline with a red X and does not function when clicking on it. Also, I seem to be having trouble viewing other people's websites that I know have been created using Frontpage 2000. They also show with the outline of the button only and do not function.     - Text Masking I need a text field with a set way to display a number. How I can have so it automatically places certain characters in certain places?     - using only part of published pages another weird question Is there any way of using only PART of another page in a new page WITHOUT loosing script-functionality of the original page residing on another server ? I was thinking of running some kind of script which filters out parts of the original page (eg by specific strings) and replaces it with new code (eg using document.write())... Prob seems to be it creates a new page locally, thus loosing the original pages' functionality... Method I was thinking about is using layers, loading original page in first invisible layer, then starting to copy parts of original-to-"new" on a second visible layer. After many kind helps from all of you and my relentless screw ups of my computers, I managed to complete the registration form and logon with Access DB. A few questions, if you don't mind again, for your advise or just point me to where I can find the articles. Are there any way that I can change the format? I read those lines and believe should have something to do with the following...     - Import/Export vs. Publish Hi: I am still learning the great product of the much confused FP 2003. Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between import/export vs. publishing? Well, I have read the help files about the two, basically, it does not tell me the differences but only how to do those.     - FP2003 / Sharepoint in Vb.Net Due to restraints in Sharepoint, I am trying to develop some Vb.Net apps to create utilities for managing Sharepoint, outside of the Sharepoint and FP2003 GUI's I am trying to develop a windows application in VB.Net that would do the following... Application #1 -This application would be used to get the accurate "Last Modified Date" from the sites in our Sharepoint Portal. This is to manage sites that have not been updated in a while and notify the owners. Trying to do this inside of Sharepoint is cumbersome in that the "Last Modified Date" is not always the correct date as their may be a web under the top level web that has been modified later than the top level (this is usually the case -This app should go trraverse through ALL of the webs under the root and be able to list items that have not been modified based on criteria provided in the application by the user...for example if I want to see all files/webs/etc that have not been modified in the past 90 days -This app would also provide a total size of the web at the top most level of the particular web -I would think that this would be best done by referencing the sharepoint web service in the VB.Net application? Any ideas would help Application # -This application would be written in VB.Net as well and have no user interface -It would need to use the FP2003 object model and EXPORT each web under the root into its' own file(WebPackage) -Basically mimicking the function inside of FP2003 under Tools->Packages->Export -The code I have for this is as follows and is not working..     - Database Search Box problem 1. I have asked FrontPage to generate a Database Results Display form preceded by a Query box - all linked to an existing database. When following the wizard producing the Results & Query/Search forms I am not clear about what I should entry in the 'Value' box - when I enter 'Surname' as above the wizard puts that to the left of the query entry box and superficially that seems fine however I suspect I simply haven't got the concept of what should be entered here.     - #include Java in HTML ? Hello group Being a rather newbie I was wondering if in HTML one can include a javascript file in a HTML page using some C/C++ syntax like <#include "file.h">. To describe the prob: I've got a rather large set of html-pages all using identical javascript-functionality BUT using/modifying some local parameters of the html-file itself. I'd love to "include" the java-file as "included file" and call upon it's functions, would make any alterations to the JS itself easier since not editing all individual pages.     - IIS and/or Server extensions security setup Hi: I have been trying in the past two weeks for doing some simple database works under the following environment: (1) OS: Windows server 2003 or Windows XP Pro (2) IIS: IIS 6.0 or IIS 5 (3) FP Extensions: FP server extensions 2002 (4) Scripts: ASP and Access database. The kind of tasks that I wish to complete is to have a registration form (based on FP 2003) to collect user sign-up information and store in an Access database file which later will be used for login verification. I have been trying in the past two weeks with many different ways but none of them is successful and have problems one way or the other. However, one of the most common problems which happen even if the form is being successfully submitted (as told by the browser but not sure at all) is that the records of the database file has not been changed or inserted. So, I wish to make sure the security is being set correctly. Kindly point me to where can I find a step-by-step instructions to set up the permissions of IIS, Server Extensions Administrator, and/or SharePoint Team Service? I understand the permission can be administrator either by IIS, SharePoint Administrator, and/or Server Extensions Administrator - which is so confusing.     - Missing pictures I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I'm using Frontpage 2002 and whenever I import pictures to use in a photogallery they display fine. Sometimes if I use one of the same pictures someplace else on the website (not in a photo gallery) it gives the red X (except on my own computer) Why is this happening? I begin by importing the pictures into an image folder in the web then go from there. The problem only occurs if I have pictures both in a gallery and on a different page. If I use the same two pictures on separate pages it doesn't happen, or if I use the same two pictures in separate photo galleries it doesn't happen. It's just the combination of photo gallery/regular page that causes the red x. (btw.. it doesn't happen EVERY time but most times.)     - Adding a DB to Site We are a small catering business and I have been asked to add a DB to our site where a visitor can leave feedback on our company which could then be pulled up by other visitors to read. I have only average Web design skills and used FP 2003 to design our site. The site is hosted on a Windows 2000 Server which does allow DB's (Access and others). Is this something that can be done easily by me using the built-in Wizards (which I know nothing about yet) or will it require an outside programmer? I'm worried that if this function requires identification of some kind to be given by a visitor they might not do it. Should our company require either a password, Username, Log-In (or something else) before allowing a visitor to leave feedback? If it does, I'm not sure anyone would go to the trouble. What if someone "blasts" us? If they did what could we do? I'm sure it could be edited or deleted but doubt the head of our company would even allow that. He is a very honest man and would probably say, "Just take our lumps with the good".We try very hard to satisfy all of our customers, but with some it's impossible, and I don't want something negative left for the world to see! Now that I've written this out, I'm not sure this is a good idea at all. Has anyone else ever done this for a very small business and if so, were the results positive or negative? We just installed FP2003 on my wife's computer - - I'll admint, I am not an
expert on it - - however, apparently, previously, with FP2000 - she could
click on the hyperlinks (around Images), just as it were an actual web page,
and it would work just like the web page, going to the linked page.

BUT - now, with FP2003 - when you click on the hyperlinks in preview mode,
nothing happens....

If I view the page in a browser window, the hyperlinks work great, and when
I publish the page on the website, the links work great.....

I've been through quite a lot of the links in the online help and can't find
anything....

What's up - - is there some setting I'm missing or something?
