Well, hover buttons are Java. Java is locked down by default in WinXP SP2.
In addition, Java Virtual Machine is no longer shipped with current versions
of Windows XP and IE. People who want to view Java must download a JVM sun.

| Thanks, but the referenced page doesn't really help in my
| case;
| Firstly the recommendations are extremely technical, I've
| used a feature that Microsoft have put in Frontpage for
| Navigation and have invested masses of time, now it
| doesn't work and I need a practical solution that is
| within the scope of a reasonable beginner.
|
| Secondly, it is not realistic to expect users of a
| general website to download stuff to view pages,
| especially when Internet Explorer is giving them security
| warnings that it may be unsafe. The proportion of
| visitors visiting my site would be very low,
|
| Please can anyone help?
|
| thanks
| Chris
