    - Database entries editing using Pull down menu I'm still new at all this programming, can anyone help me? I am accessing a database, and I can get the edit page to work, but..     - Newbie stuck on 1st base - please help Hi, I've developed my web site using FP2003 from my xp workstation, it's a very simple web site containing maybe a dozen hyperlinks to files which exist in folders in the xp box. I want to upload the web site to a Win2K server which also sits on my desk at work - but I want to have the files exist on the server not the xp box. I can get the web site working mostly but when I click on the hyperlinks there is no download offered, the win2k server can't work out where the files are coming from. So I tried creating folders on the win2k server and pointing the hyperlinks there but still no joy. Can anyone give me a steer here, please - what would be the best way to achieve this. I have ordered "dummies guide to FP2003" but it won't be here for a few days ( Christmas post !! ) and I really need to get this finished quick.     - How to open HTML files composed by Word 2003? Hi: I am experimenting an email newsletter with FP 2003, Word 2003, and using Outlook 2003 for email client. I found out that HTML files composed by Word 2003 (with HTML extension) can only opened by Word 2003, that is even you tried to open it with FP 2003, Word 2003 would jump out to open it, and it is also true for vice versa, and that is HTML files composed by FP 2003 with be opened by FP 2003 only. Is there a way that I can just use any client to open it since the two both support HTML files, instead of using the original one? Part of my document has a hyperlink pointing towards a Word document. When the hyperlink is slected it gives you the choice of 'open', 'save' or 'Cancel'. If 'open' is selected the document becomes visable but when you have finished reading it and want to go back to the website (using the back button on the toolbar) the password / username screen appears...the same one i see when i publish my site each time. I did a Microsoft emailed "critical upgrade" on 12/17/04 and now I have
Microsoft XML Core Service on my desktop. What is it? Why is it there?

Now everything is running slow on my PC?

Do I need it? If not, how do I get rid of it?

I looked for link to get help and it sent me here. It seems impossible to
contact a live person at Microsoft.

Was the "Critical Upgrade" an attachment in the email?
If so, you have installed a virus. Microsoft NEVER send attachments in
emails.
Do a complete scan of your PC with your up-to-date anti-virus program.

If you downloaded the update from the Windows Update website, try posting in
microsoft.public.windowsupdate
