    - Interactive Calendar for Bookings I wish to create an interactive page in Frontpage 2002 and 2003 versions where a visitor can see whether we have available days in our B & B by selecting a specific date.     - FPDB...how safe is it? Hi, I'm building a website with an Access database, since i can't seem to figure out how to point to a DSN ( i got that from my provider) in frontpage, i'm afraid i'll have to use the folder FPDB and let frontpage automatically create the 'global.asa'. It works, i can "FTP" the site from local to my Int.domain. My question is, How safe or secured is my .mdb file in that folder? How easy or hard is it for anyone to 'download' the .mdb file to their harddisc. And if it is "that" easy then does anbody have any idea how to prevent this.     - Can't fix a liquid designed page I created a new page with a liquid design at autoloadingduplicators.com/page3.html. The result looks fine on my screen at a resolution of 1280 x 1024. However, when I view the page from another computer with the display set at a resolution of 800 x 600, the far right column moves outside of the intended boundry and the text becomes distorted.     - Troubles with database searching I am using FP 2002 and win server 2003 enterprise edition. I have a database of addresses that i want to be able to search throught via my site. I have made the query: "Select * from Dealers" this works but then when i use the query: "Select * from Dealers WHERE province = ::T1::" i get an error (error can be seen at www.ujr.ca/test/canadadealers.asp) The steps from when it's working to when it is not are as follows: 1) change the query 2) at the last step in the database results wizard made sure that the "Add search form" is checked 3) click finish, and then save and publish Values that should work are: NS, Nova Scotia, Ontario I have tried to have one of these values as default value and still get the same error.     - User defined functions in frontpage Hello all I wish to create a number of user defined functions for use in frontpage between the <% and %> symbols at the beginning of an asp page. The functions I have written in the frontpage module (Tools>Macro>Visual Basic Editor) do not seem to be recognised by my asp page that calls the function. I get a "Type mismatch" error message - the line number is the line that calls the function. I get the same message irrespective of the code in the function. What am I doing wrong? Should I be using Add-Ins? All I want is to run the same code from a number of asp pages. It seemed a function would be a sensible way to do this and this is the way I would use in say, MS Access.     - Frontpage and SQL database Issue Hi all, I currently have a Access datbase which has a note of all my DVD's, CD's, Books, and Games in it. however as you can imaging its now getting very large, so I decided to move to a SQL server for hosting of the DB, I have imported all the data to the SQL server and I am in the process of moving the pages over to the new format to do this I am using Frontpage as my codeing sucks :) This is where I get a issue, I created a new page and saved it, and added in the details for the Database connection in Database/Results I told it to use Network Connection to Database server, I selected SQL, entered the NETBIOS name for the server and Database name, and clicked verify all is ok. I then told the wizard to use an existing connection, selected the one I just made, and followed the wizard through.     - Question on a fluid design The page I've created consist of five columns with margins on each side. When I view the page on different browser settings it appears correct. However, when I put a table in each of the three middle columns - each of the tables set to 100% or even 90% of the column width - it causes the column on the right side to be moved out of view.     - Custom button script I am trying to set up a page with a FrontPage form that will require the viewer to enter the answer to a question on the text field to be able to go to a following page. I first tried to do it by validating the field by defining the Data Value by setting the "Field Must Be" rule to be "Equal to" the answer to the question so that when the viewer presses the submit button the data will be validated and the confirmation page will be the next page I want to display. So far this works fine, however, when the answer does not match the validation rule, the browser displays a message asking the viewer to enter the correct data which is actualy provided in the same error message window. The validation properties of the form allows to set up a confirmation failure page in case the viewer enters the wrong answer in the field. However, this is not ever happening. Instead I get the error message window asking to enter the data that is given in the same window. Is there a way to fix this issue? Or should I use a custom script to set up a normal button that will validate the answer entered by the viewer and let him/her go on to the next page? If this is the case can you spare the script code and the way to set up the normal button to do this?     - Display image from Database... Hi to all, I have a database with products and images, all works fine. However not all products have images so when visitors click on the article-number that supposed to display the according image they get to view this 'default' image with that little red-x on it (image not found). Is there a way to change this "red-x" image into some other image i created myself. (e.g. NoImage.jpg or .gif)? To explain the further, Database result wizard 'lists' the products with article-number and smal description. The artcilenumber-field has a link to product-information page and the there the image will be displayed. the images have the same name as the article-number. for example: articlenumber is 12345 then the matching image is 12345.jpg. This works fine as long as the matching image is available. I hope anyone can help me with this one, i got about 3000 products to display and i do not know which product have or have not got an image. (I also hope i've explained the problem clear enough.)     - Help with scroll bars in FP2000 Hopefully someone can help with this. I have been volunteered to develope the web site for my sister's charity. My only qualifications were that I am a computer engineer. I work extesively with hardware and have a little software experience. So needless to say my Frontpage skills are lacking! Here's the problem. We wanted a very clean look and didn't want the scrollbars to show in our frames pages. I figured out how to hide them and how to hide frame borders but when I preview in IE, the frames will not scroll. It seems to work fine in Firefox/Mozilla. I am at wits end here. I really don't want to give up and show the scrollbars. I know this can be done because I have seen plenty of sites in IE do this before I jumped ship to Firefox. I have tested the SaveReservation.php routine directly from the URL Address line and it work correctly. What am I missing on trying to pass control to "SaveReservation.php."     - Frontpage modules not running I am a Frontpage learning-by-doing person and am having trouble running frontpage modules. There are two, possibly related, problems: Problem 1: "Module1" contains Public Function statements that are called up from VB code within an asp page. I get a "Type mismatch" error message when I run the asp page. The error line is the line that contains the function call. An example of the function call in the asp page is: j = MaxConfirmedOccupancy (#1/1/2005#, #1/10/2005#, 2) The error message occurs even if the function is reduced to: Public Function MaxConfirmedOccupancy(dateFirstNight As Date, dateLastNight As Date, intRoomID As Integer) As Integer End Function Do I need to do anything special with the module other than typing in the functions and saving/closing the VB editor? Problem 2: I note that I cannot compile the module as other functions in the module have calls to a database and I get an error message of "Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment" and the word Application highlighted (in the Conn.Open Application line below). Set Conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") Conn.Open Application("RascalBookings_ConnectionString") This code works well if incorporated int he asp page but it will not compile as part of a module and presumably will therefore not work (but I cannot test yet because of Problem 1). Can you advise how to fix this. I presume I need a Dim statement referring to the Application but do not know what form this should take. Any help on these two problems would be appreciated.     - Fetching META tag data from non-local URL Hi all, Is there a way to load and/or fetch meta-tag and document data from a non-local webpage in a relatively safe way? I have to say first that I'm not interested in mining pages for email other data. Basically very frustrated with the bookmark management apps out there, and wanting to snag snippets such as meta description, keywords, or even selections in documents, and add to standard internet shortcut info through a database. In a general sense, some ideas: --Use FPVB? --Develop an HTA that wraps an IFRAME around the non-local page, and references the page's DOM. Wondering whether the implied release from the cross-frame security restraints would be unwise. --Do essentially the same thing with a webpage in IE, but use DHTML.     - "Can't access service.lck" error message I am new to FP so please bear with me. I have designed several pages on my desktop machine and want to transfer them to my portable. I copied the pages and associated folders to a CD and put this in my portable. I can open all the pages with Internet Explorer but, when I try to open them with FP on my portable I get and error message saying that the server extensions can't access \PA_web\_vti_pvt\service.lck. I did a search to try to find this file but came up with nothing. Going back to my desktop machine I tried to find this same file but again, nothing. I have the same versions of FP on both machines, all the FP files are the same on both machines, both machines will open their FP files in IE but only the desktop will open the pages in FP. I like to download pages for offline reference, and occasionally encounter a "Page could not be saved" message. Can't do ASP.NET, but thinking that there might be a solution involving ASP. Not much.

You can copy/paste the html into notepad then copy/paste directly into Code
page in FP.
BUT first create an empty web with FP.

You can also Import the page and all it's images..

Just depends on where you're coming from.
