    - Security & DHTML Editors I'm finishing up on a site and the owner has asked that users be allowed to upload news articles into a form page. The form page has a DHTML text editor on it that submits to the Access database. I was curious to know if it was possible for a user to upload malicious code into the database this way.     - Live feed to client I need to implement something similar to a HTML chat page. For exmple, I have the loggon users in a frame. When I new user logs in, the frame must refresh to show the new info, so: How to implement this?     - Help!!! Database Results Using Access 2000 with FP2003. I have a results field established on web site form, and works correctly. What I want to accomplish is I want to be able to select a userid (in drop down box) and upon selection be transfered (hyperlink?) to a specific/unique web page. Example: I select JoeDoe001 from dropdown list. I want it to hyperlink to JoeDoe001's web page upon selection. This is all too common for it not to have an answer :-) I am just looking crosseyed at it. I am not sure which area to start looking to fix this problem.     - Link bar in shared border Can someone help on this? Shared border is used on top, left and bottom. Theme is applied on all pages. Left border contains link bar and I set the style to use theme. Bottom border also contains link bar and I set the style to be: [ Home] [ page1] [page 2] [page 3] The problem is whenever I preview in browser, the bottom link bar become the theme one.     - FP2003 Script Editor v10 does not hit any break points The Script Editor with FrontPage 2002 worked fine. I recently installed FrontPage 2003. Now, break points don't work in the Script Editor.     - How to handle a variable I have a login name stored in MS Access and use it to set a session variable when I log in. The field in the Db is 10 characters long. I cannot make a string variable and use it in a frontpage query to retrieve other information, as my actual info as stored in the session variable is only 7 positions long. Frontpage database results will not return data when it is set equal to the variable and using a LIKE returns everyone. I've tried using %'s in front and back, but cannot get frontpage to render up a recordset. How can I make this session variable that is 7 positions long appear to be 10, so frontpage will return data? And advice would be appreciated. Tag: FP Glitch #2? Tag: 52154

    - how to fill the whole screen? I have been building a site with Frontpage on the basis of the standard pages (with a margin on the left to be used as index). The problem however is that when it is published in the browser that on the left and the right of the page I get a white space. Of course I can fill up this space with a colour, but what I really want is that publised page fills the whole screen. So is it possible to put together a webpage that fills the whole screen with Frontpage by using standard pages (e.g. by adjusting certain margings)? If so, how do I aguest these margins?     - FrontPage glitch I have a website created with FrontPage 98. Recently my ISP abruptly switched to a new server, and my website address was changed from http://www.lanset.com/mywebsite to http://webs.lanset.com/mywebsite As a result, when I try to publish changes to the site, the FrontPage pop-up box lists the files being sent, but at the end there is an error message: server error: unable to recalculate links for "/" The changes are not published.     - Shared Borders vs Dynamic Pages Hello, I'm new to FrontPage 2003 and I am having an issue with my shared borders. I wrote my entire website in FrontPage 2003 and included some pretty intense text as a top border with mouse-over drop down menues, etc. However, when I published the site, the borders are nowhere to be found. I've tried deleting the site and doing a new publish - doesn't work. I've checked to be sure I have the </body></html> in the text - it's their. I can view the borders and every page perfect within FrontPage 2003 but not when I publish it. Ideas? I talked to one person who suggested using the Include Page feature - but I have so many pages, and the links could change, it just seems like so much work.     - Error in "Preview" only When I use the below script to ensure that new windows open maximized I get an error in Preview. Running in browser locally and on the server works fine. Also, if I click "Yes" or "No" on the error box the error goes away and it continues on fine after that. The reason I am using this is that I have a small popup window that is onloaded from the index page when entering the site. When I link to another page from the menu bar (after closing the popup) it comes up the same size as the popup. The code below fixes this but causes a javascript error in "preview" when I'm using Frontpage (2003). The URL on the error message is "file://C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir\pvw1.htm" and it says "Access is denied" Code 0. Maybe there is some way to return the screen size to maximized after the popup is closed??? Any ideas would be appreciated.     - Running VBA from a .htm page? Hello. As you'll see very quickly I am not a web programmer. One of my co-workers uses front page to create an intraweb site for the company. I wrote some code in vba that will open a word document and print specific pages from it. However, I mistakenly assumed that it would run like other vba modules (excel, word, etc.) and allow me to place a button on the page that will kick off my sub-routines. If it can do this, I would greatly appreciate someone telling me what I am missing. If not... how do I go about running macros in vba from a web page? Maybe I'm looking at it incorrectly.     - DWT and Form Proterties DWT allos me to set my Form Properties to use ASP script which is great.     - Double-clicking image in 2003 Using FP 2003 I remember double-clicking on an image to open it up in my photoeditor for editing. Now when I double-click an image that doesn't happen. I checked and still have jpg, jpeg, gif, png files associated with my photoeditor. I also have "Open web pages in the Office application that created them" checked.     - Java script timer and ticker conflicting I've managed to get some code from DynamicDrive.com to create both a ticker and a count down timer on my web page. The problem is that although both work independently, when both of them are on the page only one will work (and that is the one lowest down on the page). I know very little about javascript but I reckon it's something to do with document.write - perhaps the last function overwrites the first one? Maybe completely wrong...... Anyone any ideas? THe user is typing in a product number so that it populates certain areas of the form i.e Product Description , lead time, Buyer etc , then the user fills the rest of the required data and should click SEND so that the form goes to relevant people in buying dept. Problem is when i look at form properties it doesnt show the DATABASE data that was selected. Am i doing something wrong or is this actually possilbe in FP.? The other problems is where two areas where the user enters data, is it possible to do some maths to work out information... We want to be able to work out stock requirements ..? And I'm not really all that concerned w/ seeing what the result of the code would be in the preview area.     - making a submit link I have a web site, the second page is a "contact us" page where clients fill out questions, name, address, phone and comments, things like that, then they hit the "submit" button, it then is suppose to take them to a conformation page and then send me the information.     - Problem with new automatic download for Frontpage 2000 Yesterday when I opened my Frontpage I received notification of new programing for e-business tools. I accepted the update, and installed it. A screen came up asking me to redownload the programing. I did so. And try to reinstall the programing. I got a message about conflits with other parts of mysystem. It was not a clean installation. I opened front page and nothing would work and my computer froze. Fortunatley I have an early down load so I reinstalled it and everthing again worked just fine. Rebotted computer and again got the offer of new programing. Took the programing. This time when the screen came up asking me to redown load it a second time I did not. With the new programing frontpage and my whole computer froze. You have FP open, and are working on your web. Then all of a sudden, you
look for the index.asp page, and it is gone. Only 2 ways that I know of to
get it back. One is to click tools, then web settings.. then uncheck show
hidden files.. then check it back again..thus reseting the web.

The other way is to close FP, then reopen it to your web, and the index page
will reappear.

And oh.. i have FP 2002.
Anyone else see this?? or is it just me?
