    - denied access I am a webmaster for a school website. Our school system transferred all school websites to a new server (OS unknown). Since then, I cannot access the website using my given login and password on the computer I use in my office. I can access it from other computers, but not the one I primarily edit the website with. I am currently using Win98se as my OS. I have uninstalled and re- installed FP2K.     - Override .css file? Hi, I am using FP2000. I have a .css file with the following lines.... p, td, th, div { font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, Serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; } ...this formats my text inside the tags I've listed just how I want it. I have a handful of table cells, however, where I want the text not to be bold. Is there a way that I can override my .css for these specific instances of the <td></td> tags?     - cellpadding for one cell only? Hi, I am using Frontpage 2000. I have a two column table in which I want cellpadding="0" for all cells except for the bottom two. For the bottom two cells, I'd like to be able to set the cellpadding to a higher value. I can't seem to find a way to set cellpadding for specific cells (as opposed to the table as a whole).     - FTP/ I have just completed my first web site, but have not loaded it on to a host provider. There are two separate functions within one of the pages that I need to have working before I go live: 1. Visitor presses button A to download a â??White Paperâ?? to read about new software. If they like it, 2. Visitor fills out a registration form to join a beta program for new software, when complete presses button B to send registration information and activates a download of Beta version of a new software program. My understanding is that I require a â??ftp/cgiâ?? script in order to make this happen. One of the host providers suggested that I visit, â??hotscripts.comâ??. While the fees seem very reasonable, it can be expensive downloading one after another in deciding which one I should be using. I am not certain which one I should be looking at.     - UPDATE database problems Hi, I'm having problems updating a database - i'm bringing the data up fine in a form but am getting in a right pickle trying to update the information. I've tried so many combinations I'm not sure which I haven't tried. I've also looked up many sources on the web and even bought a book (Inside Out) and still can't find a definitive answer.     - tabels moving even when checked HI, I hope someone can help me.I am a frontpage 2000 user. I have designed a relatively simple table format identical on each page of my web site. ww2.shaganarts.com (test site) I have been adjusting the table and cells to line up vertically with the drop down menu at the top of the page. When I view it in on my computer (windows XP /explorer) It sits perfectly. When I go to anybody elses computer the cells move left and right. I have checked the width and height boxes in table properties - but to no avail. Any ideas? My text isn't wrapping. Could this be it? When I type in the cell the table expands unless I hit the enter key. How do you fix the table format for the entire site?     - No Catalog - Search Problem I'm using FP 2000, & take care of 2 sites. I've set up search pages on both. One works & one doesn't.     - Launch .bat file from HTML page I need to launch a batch file form a HTML page that runs from a CD. I have tryed to link to it, but that dose not work. Is there a way to do it with JavaScript or VBscript, and will it work without runing from a server. I need to finish this presentation asap, and this is the only thing holding me back.     - database results hyperlink target frame I've made a database for web links. In the database results table (generated through database results wizard) I have the choice to have the results(http ...) displayed as a link. That part works well, but as I have that page in a frame, it pulls the web page into the same frame. I just can't seem to get the link to open in a new page. How can I set the hyperlink to open in a new page? My guess is it need a query string (new that kind of talk)for the hyperlink address, but everything I've tried ends up worse that the page appearing in the frame. I am thinking of using the internet as a backup method as I have just lost a lot of files 10000's and more I would like to know if I use webspace and store my files online can a web crawler or importing software get my files, none of the files will be linked or have an index file on the webpage, so I believe that I could do this safely, but need it to be confirmed.     - Redirect in Firefox I have found a script and created a redirect page so that when you type in www.brambiers.com/hawks it takes you to www.brambiers.com/hawks.htm. When I search for an item, the page will go back to the top (where the index is). The user has to scroll down to the results for every search.     - FlashPaper vs. PDF Does anyone have an opinion, pro or con on adding Macromedia FlashPaper2 documents on website instead of PDF files? One big positive in FlashPaper2 is that people would "not" need to have a "viewer" loaded on there PC, like they have to with PDF. FlashPaper2 would load quicker because a viewer doesn't have to be loaded. It may appear more professional to open a FlashPaper2 document instead of having an "Adobe Advertised" viewer displayed while viewer is loading. But then, the nice thing about PDF files is that they can be easily downloaded and shared with others (e-mailed) because they "automatically" open in Adobe Acrobat. I guess my opinion is that FlashPaper2 on websites would be a good alternative to PDF if the document is "for viewing only". Anyone else???? Tag: Frontpage/allwebmenus Tag: 42661

The last field, curcon is actually a first and last name in the same field with a space in it. When I build the statement below, the last name is dropped off, and all I get is first names.     - Database Results Riddle We are discussing www.netterweb.com/articles/ Upon visiting this page, hitting the "Search" link, and then using a keyword, such as "travel", to search, then clicking on a link to view the article, database results are shown. However, within the text, when a link is displayed, it is not active, and when copied over to Word, or an email, the links do not become active. I've not used it but DHTML menu builder from:
http://software.xfx.net/utilities/dmbuilder/
has proven itself to me to be great. very helpful and decent guy who made
it too. ;-)
